The international communities benefitting from Nigeria oil has made it impossible for refineries to work in Nigeria.. Its as complicated as Nigeria itself.. Its has been existent for almost as old as Nigeria.

It was on record that Tinubu was the first to bring private power generator company to Nigeria but was shut down by Obasanjo and Atiku. He was the first to bring governance closer to the people by creating more local development area councils which didn't go well with Obasanjo and Atiku. For four years the monthly allocation for Lagos was ceased by Obasanjo and Atiku despite the supreme court judgement. He was the first to take federal government to court over Vat. Nobody is talking about old bar beach today. Nobody is talking about Aja and Lekki that were not habitable before. Let other candidates tell us the bold steps they have taken in the past to take Nigeria out of the wood. None of the current contenders fought for the current democracy we are enjoying apart from Sowore and Tinubu. If any of them did let him come out to tell us his role.

Dear Mr Arise News Analyst Sir. With all due respect, you spoke like an APC spokesperson, not as an analyst for an independent media outfit. The main question here was, "is it a red flag for civil society if a candidate says that no matter how long you protest, I will do what I want to do"? You were asked specifically if you think that we or rather civil society should be concerned about the signal that such a statement sends. Rather than give an unbiased answer as an analyst, you went on to tell us why you support BAT.
The question alludes to the fact that such a statement should not be coming from someone who is asking for our votes. If BAT as a candidate is telling us that he won't listen to protesters, I wonder what he would tell us or do as President. Bearing in mind that this same BAT told us that anyone asking for a change of government should shut up, the omens are bad, very bad.
Mrs Tinubu, who is a pastor, will do well to point her husband to 1 Kings 12:11 where Rehoboam said to his people, "my father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.” We all know how Rehoboam ended up. The so called managers of the Nigerian economy need to understand that governments around the World, particularly in free-market economies, never totally gives entrepreneurs 100% freedom to determine "so-called" final price (market price) of essential goods OR services, without defining the legal framework to protect the consumers from price exploitation.
The center of all economic policies and strategies in free-markets all over the world, is the ultimate well-being of majority of "consumers"(low income people).
In essence there is nothing wrong with government subsidy, which of course is a means of government intervention in free-markets, but more importantly the legal and operational framework most be careful designed by experts and experienced professionals.
The word "Subsidy" is not a Nigerian word, It's an economic intervention strategy in free-markets, it is legal and effective, if appropriately designed.
They are all copying Peter Obi. Obi said subsidy is a fraud that stealing oil cannot be done by the ordinary Nigerians, they all copied. Obi talked of developing agriculture and education, they all copied. Hahaha, Obi has changed the political landscape this time. Kudos to Obi the visionary.

When you are not in Govt you have no executive power to do anything. People would only believe in your antecedents. As a governor he brought private power generator company which Atiku and Obasanjo disallowed.

I am talking about subsidy only, and him ADVOCATING/lobbying openly against it - no such thing as executive power; you don’t need power to voice/ lobby your opinion. Party leaders have leverage in making sure their party is a success. That’s how party politics is run in other places. Nigeria is an anomaly. So the President running the country to the ground has no business to do with the party that Tinubu is one of the leaders? Nigerians know better. We don’t need to hear any grandstanding about subsidy in campaign season if you couldn’t advice your principal for 7+ years to do the same in the interest of Nigerians. Or at least in the interests of your party success, if you don’t care about the poor masses

You don't just sit back in agreement and do nothing. You will find every excuse in support of complacency and failure.
