Special Containment Procedures
SCP-2181 is housed in a standard Humanoid containment cell at Site-145. Monitoring is to be done by closed-circuit camera only; cell should not have windows. Cell door is to be furnished with an external manual, non-electronic lock in addition to standard site-wide remote electronic locking mechanisms.

I'm convinced that the crystal entity wrote this on Dr. Wygandt's arm as a warning/example to those who would interfere with the attempted retrieval.
I think the Prince is an entity talking to 2181 which is making him giggle and is telling him when to manipulate doors. It also told him to enter the facility. I think the Prince is inside 2181's head or mind.
This was my thought very glad I was right!

Wait, was the message trying to say "That is not the prince"?
The implication being that 2181 wasn't the prince from the story and might in fact be a melevolent force itself, or something?
I had a similar thought, but I interpreted it differently. I thought the giant hand snatched up the doctor, mistaking her for 2181, and then sent her arm back like “oops, wrong person”.
That’s what I was thinking but as the above commenter noted, the entity likely realized that it got the wrong person and sent a part of her back as a message.
@chrisadkins8321 yes but this is a little more confusing because the way the morse abruptly stops makes it seem like the message was written frantically and incomplete.
I fell asleep to one of your videos and had a dream we met somewhere and I was geekin out. I got us to say the line together and we did it perfectly in sync "good afternoon everyone.. my name is doctor Miller.. and the SCP" and we took pictures n stuff then I woke up and got sad

I think that 2181 is actually the thing that the prince saw in the tale inscribed on the wierd bone thingy and the prince that was mentioned is the thing in space. When amelia got sent to space by 2181 i think she died and the prince tried to write a warning to the foundation but was cut of at the ”c”. This would maybe also explain the bone from the unknown species which may be the prince. The message being inscribed with a serrated blade may actually have been inscribed by the crystals that were on the hand that grabbed amelia

Now I'm curious. That ending suggests that SCP-2181 *isn't* the prince the story speaks of, so...who, or what, is it?
I think it actually is the Prince (SCP-2181), but mistakenly took the psychologist instead. Kinda of a “oopsie” moment and sent her arm back.
The wiki also said something about the inscription saying this isn’t the “princ-“ but it’s written in code and what not. Definitely an interesting one!

I'm sure he wants to, but they take a much longer time to make than these short videos. if he was just uploading him reading the scp's he'd be able to get them out quite quickly, but he has to do a bunch of audio editing and create the 3d model or models and then do video editing

That to me is more disturbing than a random entity using Doors as Gateways...
I think something is hunting down SCP-2181, possibly a prince from another "somewhere" (it never mentioned if it was from an alternative reality, or in the same reality, or even another dimension) but based on what was given, I have a suspicion that whatever these are they can teleport, but only behind doors out of view, and also have some form of telekinesis. It's possible that 2181 only knows that it can lock doors and not anything else.

Who comes up with these names?
Seriously, about half of the skips have a name that is silly or weird, and it breaks the fuck out of my immersion.
Frankly, it would help me out a lot if we made these names a bigger part of the universe. I know, that seems a little counter-intuitive, but... Like, I could see these scientists coming up with cute joke names for these things, like how surgeons tend to have really dark senses of humor to cope with the shit they see every day.
But as just titles for the articles in our universe, it just makes it hard to take these things seriously.
You should try a new format by using AI generated Images like Dall-E 3 this will be sooooo good to better see the descriptions of the audio. Should give it a try one of these days and see if its any good.
