I like that the D-class personnel in this one are more inclined to talk back to the researchers and doctors. Score one for the expendables.
Hearing the D-Class tell C1 to shut up made me smile. I don’t typically side with D-class since they’re gonna die anyway but this one was kinda funny
"Hush"
Indeed. Very realistic D class behavior.
@@Freckle_McMurray Hush.
@@Freckle_McMurrayso can people
How kind that the researcher said please before giving the same request as an order for once.
Ethics committee’s weekly seminars seem to be paying off!
They probably just came from an Ethics Committee meeting on how to not do your job effectively. The EC is literally like HR. Useless, yet still costs money.
@@CodeguruXEC prevents unessential suffering, unlike HR
Hahaha. *snort* 😂
@@CodeguruX i strongly disagree on that one, the ethics committee is there so that they just don't throw 10 people into an unknown situation like they did in the early days. The foundation has no regard for human life and it's great that there is something there to keep them in check. The EC probably saves the foundation a lot of resources.
@@CodeguruXread Scp -6086, then say the EC are useless. Hell, that article describes their creation as a team.
I know we typically don’t destroy anomalies, but I’m getting “time to commit arson” vibes from this one tbh.
No don't, it's what she wants
The detail about the outside being untouched, and the inside being completely destroyed and dilapidated, I have a feeling the anomaly (the girl that duplicates people, not the building) is probably self contained within the structure, and if you were to burn down the build, who knows what powers they could have.
Goc agent detected
This is why the Foundation is the best organization. There are multiple stories of GOC agents destroying Anomalies on sight, which usually results in them becoming far worse. Example: the chair that teleports to tired people, which they threw into a wood chipper, and it became a pile of mulch that would freak the fuck out and murder people.
Did this man never hear about the teleporting chair? There's a reason not to go around destroying anomalies. We don't know how much worse it can get.
I love it when the foundation wants to threaten death for none compliance knowing you're facing an even worst death from an SCP
Yup!
I mean sometimes it's transfer to cleaning duties that result in horrible death. Peanut really makes a mess.
Or becoming a subject in various postmortem testing. It's not cross-testing if you didn't comply. It's several that need ghosts or cause temporary resurrection or put your brain in a jar to make an ai. The foundation recycles where it can.
There might be one that covers it, but I'd love to see and SCP where the D Class they sent into an anomaly become a part of it, and holds a grudge. Like maybe it offers later D's a merciful death, but it taunts the researchers/ 05 council, maybe even threatens to hold them accountable for their actions!
@lexxstrum yes! An anomaly they are responsible for creating and are forced to face is always fun.
Shhhhh, the expendables don't know that, they're just silly little serious criminals
Oh now I get the feedback, the duplication of the microphones signal
ooh i never put that together, clever
feedback only happens if the microphone and speaker are in the same location. The microphone picks up its own output and amplifies it, creating the feedback.
Dr Miller seems to have become colder throughout the years of his dedicated service to the foundation. I'm guessing his work is a result of that.
His attitude would be a result of his work, his work isn't the result of his attitude. Sorry lol, not trying to be that guy, it's an easy mistake to make.
What I really like about this SCP (besides the story of course) is the shortening of the D-class numbers in the logs; it translates really well into the audio format and makes following along a lot easier than the usual "D-someobscurenumber"
Pity the acting's not better. Despite being in a violent confrontation, they all sound like they're having a casual conversation.
@@furiousfinch1587i took it as the actors going for that gag where they engage in casual conversation while facing certain doom to make surviving it easier.
One of the coolest "oh shit, we fucked up" when they discovered the 17 cameras.
I love how quickly the researcher puts it together, like he just instantly realizes that the SCP duplicates everything the person had on them when it duplicatesthe person. and they just created anywhere between 17 and 51 armed hostiles.
not surprising that the anomoly was able to incapacitate an MTF team.
@@kazmark_gl8652The anomaly _had_ an MTF team at that point. Or, y'know. Three.
@@kazmark_gl8652right cus the 17 cameras indicate the first D class was duplicated 17 times, I didn’t put that together myself
@@JoshSweetvale 17 MTF teams really.
I can take a guess at what expedition 3 was.
The Foundation assumed that sending in a mobile task force would be fine, because even though the dupes would be armed with the same gear, so are many of the threats MTFs go up against.
It went south, really really fast, and the armed dupes breached containment.
They didn't find any further info on the girl.
WHY WOULD THEY SEND AN MTF IN?
It's not just one copy that gets created, but around seventeen according to log 2.
I don't think even an MTF can face 17 MTFs
It's an interesting theory. I was thinking that the newest cameras are "pending declassification" because they caught a glimpse of what the girl really is, and maybe it's something too dangerous to discuss, like a cognitohazard or something, and so that's why we can't have the 3rd log either.
@@channellastname3527 Tje creatures created seem to be very infirior to humans. My guss is that they assumed that the MTF could deal with it. The logs also state that after that expedition no weapons or armour where allowed to be taken into the SCP
You don't need to guess, the entry tells us earlier that Expedition three resulted in a loss of a complete MTF unit.
_Welcome to the Hotel California_
_Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)_
*Such a lovely face*
Right!!!!! Inspired by the song.
I'm only just coming onto the description of it hahah
This reminds me of the entry about the evil kids that try to kill people for some weird reason. Also nice that obscure SCP’s are getting so loved to.
what entry was that?
Does it involve shadow children in a specific forest that usually hides behind the trees at first?
So like Children of the Corn vibes?
Volgun is who l watch when I want to be paranoid before I go to bed.
That it. Its taken me 6 months since I've started, but I've caught up and finally watched every SCP lecture by the volgun on their self-made playlist. And now i wait eagerly for more
I love when an author does an open ended story with their version of the Foundation. I think it's the sense of mystery, in addition to the terror, that makes a good tale for me.
Wonderful reading as always, thanks!
Sweet more lesser known scps that aren't everywhere
When the traumatized, self-loathing, reality bending hermit wants to be left alone, just leave her alone.
Love the way you voiced the snarky D Classers 😂 so well done. So real!!
They have every right to be haha. Theres a reason field agents get an information dossier before a mission, kinda helps with your success rate. And its not like the foundation doesnt have the good ol' "Forget everything"-juice in every vending machine :D
I remember when you were mr. Miller. Look how far you've come
Dr. Limkiewicz is going to have a hell of a time with the ethics committee after this one
Wouldn't it be hilarious in one of the audio recordings if, randomly, the agents just casually said "isn't it weird our voices sound so similar?" And then just moved on
I mean they're written as if it would be multiple. Which the narrator does a good job of achieving by himself.
@@justinsmith5870 I know this, I just think it'd be a funny thing to add while recording
I love that
Yours is the one of the only channels I would never want to end, I wonder if you’ll ever revisit scp’s that have been updated substantially
He has in the past redone some SCPs after major changes
I started working at a hotel recently and im ngl im loving the recent hotel themed scps
Superior voice acting! I was yelling/cursing through my screen at c1 was like “you are OBLIGATED to investigate” 😅
One of my favorite SCPs, truly horrifying. The D-class in this one are top tier
Man, this really could be made into a short film. Or longform movie. It's so well done.
Well l have no clue whats going on but it was still pretty cool.
Same I zoned out here and there so I’m confused, but I had a good time.
Hotel that duplicates people inside it and makes them monsters. It also duplicates any object the people have on them so when the D class entered with guns you can imagine how that backfired.
And there's some mysterious lady entity 👻
@@xxmidnight12xx18 Love it lm glad lm not the only one!
@@themisticmaster551 Thanks l needed the simplified version now lll go watch it again for the first time
I usually fall asleep to these but this one was so good I actually had to open my eyes a few times. This one was really good.
One of my favorite kinds of SCP videos! I love these dramatized creepy ones.
the guy supervising the Dclass seems really unprofessional. treating dclass badly to the detriment of the mission is just dumb
Pretty common in older SCPs.
I like how the D class at this point just don't give a shit. like these glasses wearing pencell pushers start razing there tone and threatening death on them, meanwhile the D class are completely aware that there going to die one way or another. a man who knows he will die ether way is the worst man to threaten.
Would be interesting to know how these imperfect “clones” are created, but obviously I don’t have clearance for the rest of this file **sigh** It is apparent that whatever is in control does not want anyone in the building. The copy method is quick and copies violent. On top of that they have any equipment the original is carrying? It is almost like this place knows inquisitive people like me would stick their nose where they don’t belong
Doc: I don’t take that kind of insolence from my subordinates.
Me: oh? I mean we could switch places if you like.
I love Sundays when TheVolgun hits the feed
Very glad you're back regularly Dr.Millar. Studying hasn't been the same without yah.

YOU HIT A MILLION 🎉🎉🎉 Congrats you deserve it so vv much.
So this SCP is effective an AI image generator and a 3d printer. I joke. Excellent video!
Hmmm... 🤔
I wonder if one could level this place by sending in some D class with remole detonated explosives. The explosives would be copied but not the remote since it's not in the building but if all the kaboomers react to the same remote...
From how they talk about the state of the interior and how the entities haven't ventured outside much the hotel might be keeping the shit in
“Headphones Recommended”

Excellent work as always! Say, Volgun, do you think there's a way you could enable your videos to be accessible though RUclips Music's new podcast category? I'd love to be able to listen to them in that way.
I’ve wanted to be able to download them as podcasts to listen to on car rides
@@davion4171 Precisely. My job allows only limited access to my phone's screen, so being able to easily queue up multiple narrations and stream them using less data would be really convenient.
I ended up ripping a ton of Critical Role episodes for this reason. I'd be driving in areas with low reception and it was nice never having to worry about buffering.
Respect for asking and not just downloading them through a video to mp3 converter website lol.
@@Zargabaath FYI, Critical Role has a podcast version to download them audio-only, if that's still an issue for you.

@@onyxosprey why thank you. Yours is quite excellent as well
Question: if you were to throw a camera through the window into the entry room, and then walked inside, would the camera see you enter and would you see the camera? Like, is the house in real space and the inside somewhere else, or is the inside directly connected to the outside, if that makes sense?
Next question: if you sent a simple rc drone inside, would the space manifest a bunch of little drones like it? Would those drones be deformed and disproportionate enough to make them nonfunctional? Would there be several angry drones flying around trying to destroy them? And would those be autonomous drones or would they still require a controller? If so, by whom would they be controlled?
Last question for the giggles: if you sent in kittens inside, would the space become a crazy cat ladies wet dream? And what might that many hell kittens be capable of?
As always, you do good videos, doctor.
Sincerely, Junior researcher Kierein, site 81.
That is a really really cool classic scp.
I don't get some redactions in scp. Like, the location? Sure makes sense. The number of the group of 1919-1 that attacked the task force? What relevance does that have to where knowing that makes it confidential?
In universe reason: knowledge is power. If you say something like "discovered by Antimemetics Division in Turkey in 1991 as part of a routine population census" then anyone who reads your document knows the AD was active in 1991 in Turkey doing a population census, and that census was apparently "routine."
If you redact that down to "discovered by the Foundation in the Eastern Mediterranean in 199X during routine operations" then the reader has a much worse idea of what the Foundation's"routine operations" actually are. A containment specialist or researcher might not need to know the specifics, anyway, so why risk a breach?
IRL explanation: using vague details lets an author skim over "less important" parts of a story and jump straight to the Good Stuff. Instead of sitting down to figure out "exactly how many hostiles would it take to threaten this Foundation facility," the author can be vague with the numbers and skip right to the important info: "the facility was attacked by hostiles."
I'd love to hear one on the hard to kill repltile and a long involved IKEA video. 2 of my favorites. I've gotten through all your vids. Keep them coming
Makes me vaguely think of the video game "ECHO", just a lot more scary and in a fucked up environment.
That was a damned good one

D-Class with subdermal charges...
Remotely activated
I could hear words being said at the end but could not make out what was being said here...just a weird whisper that probably answers a few questions about who this woman is
While I have no problem with the SCP foundation treating D class like they are disposable and not people, not telling them information that will help them survive, like the kinds of things they might see in that SCP, will only make it harder to gather information.
"D-class number D-90124?"
"Don't you mean D-90125?"
"YES! I mean no."
"D-9012-LIVE?"
Does anyone out there get the reference? Think "80's music".
