10:38 The hole on the left side is for Bluetooth to communicate through the CNC Aluminum casing, unless they have an acrylic bottom going on. I'd be a little worried that it is still too small though.
I'm melting! That's so cool. I have the Niz Atom 68 and I absolutely love it. I bring it with me to my school computer library because heavily used cheap dell keyboards are trash . I already thought it was quiet, but the upgrades take it to a whole new level!
Thank you Betty for the videos on Niz Plums, because of those I got my first Niz Plum X87. I come from Cherry MX Blues (yeah I know). For the first minute or so the Niz felt weird and squishy; however, after typing an hour straight (writing this on the 61st minute) I have no pain on my fingers. I also do powerlifting so typing more than an hour on MX Blues always hurt my fingers, especially on deadlifts, I don't think Niz will have any problem like that. It is like typing on clouds, you and the reviews on Amazon are correct. Also, I thought of getting the Camillo MT3 keyset that your husband uses for Niz (Aluminum), however, I am in love of the default keycaps, kind of rough to the touch and those white (oh la la) no videos do justice to how good looking those whites are, just love it. Also, the sound out of the box even for the spacebars and other stabs are just out of this world, dare I say THOCK! I wanted to try this before I jump on to the HHKB wagon, however, this is my end game (also got a sizeable discount from Amazon). Thank you so much for your review, you just won a sub for life.
Oh man, I didn't even realize this happened. Hopefully they restock them, because that makes the plum boards a lot more appealing to me, although I wish they still made the Nano 75. Maybe a version for the Atom 66.
Hey Bets ! Hmmm that is a nice object you temptress !!! I don't like the sound that much though... Great video, I like your tone in this one, nice and calm. Love from France.
Perfect! You've made me buy this keyboard. I'm just getting into the hobby and I don't feel very comfortable lubing my keys but do you think I can change just the caps without applying new lube??
Next you should do a review on the $50 gskill km360, as theres barely any reviews on it, and maybe compare it to something like the hyperx alloy fps pro or the techware phantom 87
Just mentioning, even though this keyboard is gasket mount, it does have them on the side and that may end up with a more uneven typing experience. Heres a good video about it. ruclips.net/video/B-rCRSj9mho/видео.html
Have you tried any of the Azio keyboards? I was wondering if the Niz 68 or 82 could replace my Azio compact bluetooth kb on which I make way too many mistakes, which is probably because of how close together the (beautiful) round keys are. Also I'm sure the Niz kbs are a lot quieter.
I got a NIZ TKL (35gram version) like almost 2 years ago for a 100 bucks. Just went to check and they're all like 180-240 bucks now. What the hell happened? They're literally the same as the one I have in front of me. Did popularity drive up pricing?
Ooooh now that's a tough choice. If you want mechanical switches, definitely GMMK Pro. Unless you know you like the original Niz Atom68, I wouldn't jump straight to this
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Awesome this is gonna be my first keyboard purchase, I have been saving up for this for a while now and have only been using office keyboards all my life. I'm really thankful for your advice as I didn't want to end up with buyers remorse. Love your work!
is this still in your rotation? I'm kinda tossing up between buying a niz and building something with silent linear switches and not sure what the difference in feel would be like coming from a cheap free keyboard
Question. One benefit for Niz over Topre was the cost factor. With this board costing more than the HHKB type-s or Leopold fc660c low-noise. Do you still see this a better option?
@@SwitchandClickOfficial yeah.. I just meant this version starts at $410 and goes from there. Curious because you have both. How does the gasket mount plate compare to something like the hhkb plate in terms of feel?
I did ask you about keyboards before, I'm interested in trying to get hold of a gmmk pro white ice, obviously with reservation, as you have the black one I think, how much do you recommend it. I like it because it isn't a floating key design, and looks cool, but is it worth 170?
Absolutely worth that much, if not more. So easy to take apart, put together, put switches in. The gasket feel is better than all the other tray mount kits that I've bought for $175 (barebones kit).
Is it possible to change the stabilizers on the original keyboard. I have the original and love the board. Just the space bar if I touch it softly and not depress it it rattles and makes some noise. It does that even when typing depending on where I hit the spacebar. I have the TKL version as well and that one does not do that. Could be the spacebar is slightly warped?
The keyboard only supports Costar stabilizers so you can replace those. Maybe it is the spacebar though, try putting another one on there to see if the problem persists.
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Thank you. This being my 1st mechanical KB .... I eventually found out these were costar stabilizers and that they are tricky to replace the keycap. I am now google costar stabs mods. :). I can see I am going to go down this rabbit hole of mechanical kb. I have watched quite a few of your videos and actually purchased the Niz68 and the 87after watching your video on the Niz68. I wanted a more office friendly / silent kb. I love this kb. I have a lot of reading and learning to get a better understanding about mechanicals. Your videos have inspired my since we are in lock down and this looks like an interesting hobby. From your experience do the silent switches like the U4 ever come close to the Niz in terms of silence / quite?
Is the tecware phantom L still a good pick for its budget range? Or is there something better to go for? I need help 😭 my budget is under $50 and the lowest size i can go for is a 65% size keyboard.. pls someone help 😌
I don't know why keyboard makers dont give their boards to the reviewers. small price for them to pay for a great review (advertisment). they should let you keep that.

Maybe just me but even the original sounds amazing

Very cool! It definitely sounds niiiceee, and it's quite enough so people don't think you're one of those people
Dang! That looks awesome, love the video! 😁
Thank you so much! It feels amazingly bouncy with the gaskets
2:41 sounded very similar to the minecraft walking on snow sound very cool
Haha that's oddly specific
10:26 The bluetooth button is there on the BLE models. Digging the aluminum case! Typing now on my lubed NiZ Micro 82 45g.
Nice! I was right
Great review, appreciate your honesty on how you should have done things in retrospect!
Glad you enjoyed it! Things never go the way they should the first time haha

Perfect! You've made me buy this keyboard. I'm just getting into the hobby and I don't feel very comfortable lubing my keys but do you think I can change just the caps without applying new lube??
Yeah you definitely don't need to lube
In sound it sounds almost the same (95%), it says how great the Niz Plum is out of the box.
That was a great video. Sigh, it looks like this is going to be an expensive month...
Tell me about it
omg the alu looks amazing

Alloy FPS pro is a disgustingly overpriced and bad keyboard. kM360 is a great KB for it's price!
Looks like I have to spend more money.
12:22 9,999.00 usd
ffff Ordered Niz X87 35g, white, not rgb. 2021 version have 2 tone keycaps. hope I wont regret it as it's your fault ! :P
Wow, they sound great. I have an odd reluctance to embrace artificially weighted keyboards, but otherwise an excellent design.
Do you know if there will ever be a NiZ Atom68 Alu V3 or if there was already a Group Buy on it?
Man I wish I had seen this video earlier, I would've loved to join the GB
They're doing one for the 82 key Niz soon
Go to niz discord, they still have 2 polycarbonate cases that they are willing to sell with the mk2 set as of today
Just mentioning, even though this keyboard is gasket mount, it does have them on the side and that may end up with a more uneven typing experience. Heres a good video about it. ruclips.net/video/B-rCRSj9mho/видео.html

Combination of popularity, demand, inflation, transport problems and chip-production demand, have increased the price(s) of the NIZ keyboards.
Is there a gmmk pro video coming soon? I’m split whether or not to invest in an expensive keyboard. Nice vid though!!
Not any time soon, no further details than that
Hi Betty! Great vid as always! How would you compare the switches in the Niz Plum to the HHKB Topre switches? :)
Softer bump, Niz also offers lighter weights like 35g
@@SwitchandClickOfficial thanks! Your review has been very helpful. Might have to get myself one of these!
Great video as usual! Did you try to lube the keys?
Yes I did
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Is it worth? I do not have experience with it. If so, which one do you suggest?
Which did you like more, Glorious GMMK Pro or this? I only have enough for one or the other.

never mind, I saw you answered this below!
what is the weight on those switches ? or What weight of switches are good for atom 68 ? as i am looking to buy one.

if only it was 75% with a shortened spacebar (whats the point making already silent keyboard even more silent and leaving huge spacebar?, oh well
