I bought 89 tracts of land in North Carolina, and this is what I learned.

    I really don't want to live next to people who so trashy as to dump stuff in the woods.

      sometimes you already do live there, but they just hide the trash really well

    Ive run into lots that have all of these problems combined yet people still think their 2 acres is worth 100k lol.

      If I move next door to you and decide to burn plastic bottles to heat my house
      and store my bathroom waste in open barrels in my backyard,
      would you still think the same?

      @@mudejartrainingnaturalscie6938 what is ingnorant, its my land my choice, also if I want to run a car parts scarp yard on my front lawn, you won't mind that either.
      Going to turn my back yard into a storage yard for my fleet of garbage trucks, don't worry, they startup at 5am so when you get up they won't be there.
      Why there are rules about what people can do on the land they own.

      @mudejartrainingnaturalscie6938 I understand where you're coming from. In the context of the video I meant that in terms of restrictions to land development that apply to designated wetlands areas specifically. Other than that you can do whatever you want on your own land as long as you're not breaking any laws.

    Two dozen of us bought just under 2k acres eastern NC 25 years ago to hunt/fish on. Mostly lowland surrounded by farmland. The government came along and bought a conservation easement , paid us well over our purchase price. It doesn't effect our use and they are going to manage it mostly for waterfowl and take over maintenance.

    • @acrewell
      @acrewell  Месяц назад

      Sounds like you did great on this land purchase. As long as you don't plan to build on that property, the conservation easement doesn't impact you much, and it's nice that you made some money on it too. Thanks for watching

    These people have been those homes after the people die it states in chaos and they just sit there and rot it's a shame do you think you have a gold mine but how things were shitt the house is not worth anything anything

      valuable heir property with title issues is a constant problem for landowners across the east coast. anyone reading this who owns property but has not created a will to pass their property down should do so as soon as possible. websites like wills.com make it relatively easy and inexpensive to do. your children (and their children) will thank you!
