@@joakinsanegoing in and out of settings just for a bit of graphics is.. not ideal. genshins world is more vibrant than wuwa’s colour wise, even up without editing brightness, so it’s not really bothersome and just easier and more convenient to leave it at a higher brightness
go to your GPU Driver Settings and increase saturation to 60%(for nvidia) or 80%(for AMD) then if your monitor supports DCR, on your built in monitor settings turn DCR on(even cheap monitors supports this feature btw).
Works for ALL games.

it's been mentioned on the reddit, "brightness" here is more like gamma unlike other games, hence it being more contrasty compared to how other brightness settings work

The game actually looks good on HDR with minor tweaking on brightness, some parts just looks so dark you cant see, but the colored things like the Sakura tree ingmae is so majestic

The brightness bar is actually gamma
I lowered the brightness a bit but it became so dark in dark places (e.g. no light areas in caves) that it felt like when I was walking in the dark with my night blindness 😭
might need to play with your monitor settings and or try 15-20% brightness. Keeps the contrast and brightens stuff up just enough.
That’s usually how brightness works in most games the graphics look better with lower brightness because that’s how it was meant to be played at

Proud to say i figured this out on day 1 cuz i was looking at the settings trying figure out how to make my shit wifi work better
It doesn't give it more contrast the contrast is the same, higher brightness requires higher contrast to look good, and most games only increase "brightness" when you increase brightness meaning contrast doesn't change at all, usually if you want to have something with high brightness and realistic/good looks you also need to increase brightness accordingly.

I wish Kuro just changed the "brightness" name to just "gamma", because that is what it is... the gamma helps you make the image of your screen brighter or darker by changing your screen configs, this causes loss od saturation and in some cases (Ark Survival Evolved is a good example) it even looks like it has a white filter on top of the screen*

Genshin is the same exact way. I have to turn the brightness all the way down. then turn on HDR on Windows and the game looks AMAZING with high contrast and great highlights.

It seems to be not brightness but a gamma setting gamma turns it Bright but at the cost of it turning white but brightness is supposed to increase gamma but also contrast and saturation proportionally to keep the color and not have it white washed

I learned it when playing Genshin with my mid phone. I'm satisfied on how it looks even if the graphic is low.
I believe they likely just evenly brighten the screen resulting in a washedout look (making each pixel have increased red green and blue) instead of brightening dynamicly based in how something should look when hit by more light. Some things should become more vibrant
Artist here. More contrast doesn't mean more better. Just more intensity. Less contrast might be more relaxing and pretty
well originally the game was supposed to have a darker tone, and atmosphere perhaps that "Basis" still remained in the game unintentionally which would explain why it looks better in a darker contrast.

For anyone wanting to try it out, it only works when your graphics settings are high enough and due to WuWa's poor optimization most of you propably play on low where putting brightness down doesn't do much.
Yeah, the thing is, for this game it seems that someone messed up what the slider should modify and ended up making a gamma slider instead of brightness. In Genshin it works more as intended, cause yeah, setting the game brighter does affect contrast, when you set it to 0 you can tell that the game is dark, instead, in wuwa the game looks barely darker in comparison.
