Just made this card for my granddaughter. It took a while but turned out so well. I watched your video and made it with you so that i didn't get it wrong! 🙂
1. You need a random sequin. Proves it's a handmade card. 😉 2. Great tips- fun foam works well too. If you're using a die especially. 3. Those are the fussycut scissors i have too - they are phenomenal. They're also very very very sharp and the scissors i managed stab myself with lol 4. Double sided tape and then rub the glitter on is also fun. 5. I probably say "Have a Magical Day!!" 300 times a day. . .
perfect fussy cutting thanks for the tip very clever lady really enjoy watching your tutorials so easy to follow thank you very much Sam and the tip about putting the tape on the greaseproof paper is priceless thanks for sharing
Hi, I know this is an older video, but it is one of my favourites, I really love how you work, and show us how you don’t always need, expensive tools Thank you so much xx❤️
Also i like to use fun foam for my shakers and it's easy to to square like you do but if you want to do shapes you can use dies cut the shape out of foam and boom you got any shape shaker. Also don't have to worry bout getting corners close as it is all one peice and fun foam cheap
yep totally agree I love using Fun Foam also and as I mentioned its much easier to use dies I just didnt have the size I wanted for this particular size. I love making these cards.
Hi Sam, I found your channel just a couple or so weeks back and instantly loved it. Your projects and videos are very interesting. The way you explain things makes it even better. I tried to cut my foam tape in thin strip last week. Needless to say, it was a disaster. I was resigned to buying the thin expensive tapes until your tip in this video. I am so very thankful to you for it. I hope you keep making these great videos and keep giving us these useful little tips. :) And ofcourse, I subscribed after watching the first video.
Thank you Gogo Dham and welcome to my channel. Yes, the double-sided foam tape tip is a lifesaver and something I've done for a very long time, it's so much cheaper than buying the expensive stuff, which is no different. Glad I was able to help. :)
Been a card maker for years and have yet to try a shaker. You made it look less daunting, ty! Fab tip with the greaseproof paper - I'm on a budget so use the cheap stuff but it's a pain in the rear getting it off scissor blades not to mention s craft knife. A new subscriber here too 😉😘
Thank you so much for the tip with the foam tape. I bought some from China a while back and it is so sticky. It was hard to use, I just tried it and it works like a charm. Thanks for sharing! :*
I really like the look of these cards. your instructions are easy to follow. I will definitely try this. Love the tip for the foam tape on the "non grease paper" Here in Canada, we have 2 types of paper...Wax paper & parchment paper...the best part of this video is... the little mistakes you make & say... soo funny!! Yes I did see that little sequence that made its way into the shaker card..and I did pick up on the "paint" brush -- "toothbrush" error.. (loved your little chuckle) I love the fact that you didn't edit it out, it made watching this so very much more enjoyable. Plus, I was able to say, "at least I'm not the only one who makes mistakes" !! thanks so much for sharing. !!!
So many great TIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love both these cards, so cute! With 33+ grandchildren, I could knock those o9ut pretty quickly. It really would only be a stack 0of p-ink and blue card stock. But the images! Foe the girl's, princess, maybe a dragon? I don't remember what's in the stamp set? Getting Older! Anyway for the boys, I could make little boys with a suit of armor and a sword, and of course a fire breathing dragons. I'll have to rethink the girl's cards. But, with Rectangle Stitched dies, it won't take me long to cut out the frames. I lo0ve these cards!
Fabulous tutorial, Sam, and many many thanks for the awesome tip about grease proof paper! Wish I had known that a long time ago lol! The number of times I have cursed foam tape whilst scrubbing at my scissors! No more thanks to you! xx
