What a great way to honor your grandmother's memory! Everyone watching this can tell that your time with her meant a lot to you. Such an honest, heart felt reaction ! God Bless your grandmother for exposing you to this type of music, and, God Bless you for doing this reaction video for her! Because, believe me, she was watching from above young lady!

Love these reactions! Everybody was shocked they got soul 😂 I grew up in this era and most bands black or white had soul.. 70's was a much better time.
I had the sane reaction you did, since I hadn't heard it in about 30 years. Ah, the memories. I was saddened when I heard that Maurice had died, and a few years later when Robin passed away. It was tough watching Barry doing his first solo performance. The first song he sang was How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, at the part when his brothers would come in, he stopped singing and teared up. The audience jumped in and sang with him and sang those parts. He got a 10 minute standing ovation, tearing up the whole time.
"Why don't people sing like that anymore?" Here's some food for thought: Today's music lacks "the beauty of romance!!!" That's the biggest difference in old school music's lyrics, melodies, 3-part harmonies, composition, arrangements, instrument playing, etc., etc... Music from back in the day, the artist(s) were telling you a story in their songs and "singing to you" in comparison to today's music the artist(s) sound like they're "singing at you." And lastly, to further emphasize the point of "romance" or the lack thereof in today's music; there are various old school break-up songs or songs with sad topics that somehow the artist(s) found ways to convey their message with a "sense of romance" that softened the blow of the hurt or the pain. I'll just give you 3 of those examples: 1. "Kiss And Say Goodbye" by The Manhattans 2. "I'm Never Going To Fall In Love Again" by Tom Jones and 3. "Too Much Heaven" by The Bee Gees!!! Oh by the way, the thump you just heard was me dropping the mic!!!
Good grief it must not meant for me to respond to this lmao this is the third time I’m having to type this out 😅 but I agree for the most part I think there’s some artists that can portray romance in music, but it’s nothing like it used to be where everyone back in the day knew what romance was! I mean there’s still a few of us romantics out here I happened to get lucky, and find one. It’s just sad because there’s so much sad music out there, and so many people hurting others, or hurting themselves. It’s two different times, and feels like two completely different worlds! While not all music from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s sounds the same it just has that sound that you can recognize and tell that it’s from that time period which I love! I love this type of music most, but also growing up in the 90’s and 2000’s I have a love for all music cause it’s people sharing their hearts, and experiences and writing about what they feel, and anyone bold enough to do that I admire especially in today’s time where people try to tell you it’s a bad thing to have feelings like you’re supposed to be some kind of robot! I’ll be sure, and check out the songs you listed soon thank you for sharing some music, and your opinion I loved reading it! Take care!! 💙
@@SavyReacts You can get that Bee Gees CD, eBay is your best friend, bee gees are my favourite British band, are the bee gees your favourite band and no, it's not your fault if you have sinus problems, where in America are you.
Your grandmother is looking down upon you from Heaven, and she is so proud of the beautiful young lady you became. I lost my older sister over 15 years ago and certain things remind me of her... especially, some songs. My wife and I are raising her one granddaughter, who just turned 6. She acts so much like my older sister. I sometimes get a little emotional, but mostly I smile because I know my sister is happy to know her granddaughter is in a loving and caring home.
I really appreciated your heartfelt reaction to this beautiful song. The emotion of it took you right back to the memory of you spending time with your beloved grandmother. 💕 The BeeGees are amazing and their voices and harmony are magic. Absolutely fantastic reaction!
I loved your reaction! The Bee Gees are my all time favorite group. I love all of their songs. I cried when Andy died just a couple of days after his 30th birthday. I cried when Maurice died and I cried when Ròbin died. Barry is still writing and performing with his son Steve and everything I seen/heard is great. Barry has always been my favorite but I love them all.
May God bless you for that genuine reaction of love for your grandmother! She obviously was a wonderful lady who meant quite a bit to you! Hopefully I'll get to meet her in Heaven one day! Thanks so much for your wonderful reaction!
Thank you so much Robert! I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it! 💙 oh yes I’m pretty empathetic so I don’t really have a problem showing my emotions, and you guys will always get my honest reaction!
@@rookdy well I was crying in this reaction so that’s another reason it’s so bad here I cut that out of the video. And if I did have sinus problems? Lol you make it sound like it’s my fault or something
They're definitely a classic group. A unique sound for sure. Music has the ability to bring back memories and emotions that you thought you had forgotten or gotten over. I hear songs from long ago and memories rush back and it's almost as if I were actually there. Crying is fine, it just means that you're human.
They really are they had the most unique voices! I mean I guess everyone’s voice is unique to a certain extent, but they just definitely have that sound that nobody can really compare it to! It definitely did and it does that’s why I wanted to start a reaction channel to music cause music is so powerful, and I feel really connected to it! That’s true there was more crying but I just cut it out cause you guys didn’t need to see me getting that emotional for a couple minutes haha but I agree we all have those moments! That’s exactly how I felt too it’s like I was transported back to when I was 14 and listening to those songs with her! 💙
Hey! I find siblings or family members do the best vocal harmonies. They know each other's voices so well and compliment each other perfectly. Frankie Valli is the only guy not singing metal or hard rock that I can think of, who came close to hitting the high notes of Barry. He was doing it it in the early to mid '60's. If you haven't heard any Frank Valli and the Four Seasons songs you won't regret checking them out!
This was a #1 hit in 1979, and they donated the proceeds to charity in perpetuity. Barry is -74yo -, lives in Miami, put out an album in 2016 called In The Now, and has a new album called Greenfields currently on the charts. So far, #1 in UK and Australia!! A new documentary called The Bee Gees: HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART came out in December on HBO. Their last Bee Gees album before Maurice unexpectedly died was THIS IS JUST WHERE I CAME IN. The title song is autobiographical and has a GREAT video that you should react to!!
Oh thank you so much for your informative comment I was just reading the comments under the video when I had it paused and someone said they died so I just assumed they all did, and didn’t realize till after that Barry was still alive, but I guess they just meant they wouldn’t ever be doing music together again since his brothers died. Oh yes I’m going to have to check out his album!! I’ll be sure, and check that one out as well thank you so much! 💙
@@SavyReacts Barry Gibbs is doing another tour this year he just announced it so you might want to Google get more info about it if you want to see him maybe
I lost love 9 years ago and never loved since. Listening to this gives me both the love feeling and also miss what I don't have anymore. At 57 I will never love again.
Richard, don't give up, dude! I met the love of my life when I turned 60 after years of damaging relationships. We're all behind you. She's out there, somewhere.
These three started singing together in public when Barry was 8 and Maurice and Robin were 6. Their whole lives were spent singing together and now, Barry misses his brothers terribly. A few years back he went on tour alone and he said that when he took the stage without his brothers, it was very emotional and scary for him. Now he tours with his daughter. I think Barry would be very pleased that he could connect you and your grandmother again.
Gosh so young, but it’s probably another part of the reason they sounded so perfect together well I mean minus the fact that they were brothers! I wanna check out some interviews of theirs too or a documentary or something on my channel soon too! Aww I can only imagine that had to be heart breaking especially at first, but I’m sure his brothers would be extremely proud, and would want him to continue with music as long as he’s able. I’m going to check out Barry’s songs soon too! He definitely did, and it’s a beautiful feeling to feel that it’s emotional, but it reminds you of the wonderful memories that music brings, and connects you to! 💙

Hello, nice to find your channel and see this reaction for first time And thanks You so much for your emotional reaction, I noted how you love the old music that never die I am 63 years old and I remember that time very well "Too much heaven" was a big hit in 1978 It was the year after their big succes in the movie "Saturday Night Fever" with your soundtrack BEE GEES with this song led the initiative of a concert to benefit UNICEF and donate royalties from this song Many artists participated in that event on January 9, 1979: Andy Gibb, Olivia Newton John, Rita Coolidge, Kris Cristoferson, Donna Summer, Rod Stewart, John Denver, Earth Wind & Fire and ABBA (I ssw all this Concert in TV and buy the album in my country Argentina) Now I ask you ... did you hear ABBA? that night They premiered a ballad pop "Chiquitita" (composed it especially and also donated royalties) and it was a worldwide hit in 1979, much more in Latin America (increased when ABBA recorded it again in Spanish version) I would like you to include Them in your reactions Here is the link of their interpretation that night: ruclips.net/video/lsme6df584s/видео.html ABBA was a successful Swedish pop group between 1972/1982 ABBA had some initial success in Scandinavia but achieved its massive diffusion when it participated and triumphed in the classic Eurovision Song Contest held in England 1974 (against 16 songs and interpreters from all over Europe) with your song "Waterloo" that launched them to the international fame From there begins a series of more than 20 successes in several countries on all continents and will be the leading group of the 70s. ABBA is an acrostic with the initials of their first names, and They was two couples too: Agnetha (blonde singer) & Björn (guitar and songwriter) Benny (pianist and songwriter) & Anni Frida (brunette singer) If you love the BEE GEES voices and harmonies (and I see Your feeling and emotions) I hope you love too the ABBA voices and harmonies from the female leads vocals Very good week for You Kind regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina

Wow they did a lot of donations for their music, and I’m happy you guys are telling me this cause I wasn’t aware, and I just have that much more respect, and love for them!! Oh yes I do all the time she’s been gone for almost 12 years but I lived with her growing up so I was very close to her! Thank you so much for the kind heart felt words! God bless you! 💙
Love the Bee Gees and this is my fav Bee Gees song. So beautiful. The harmonies are perfection and Barry's falsetto really shows here. But check out Roy Orbison. Especially Crying. He had an amazing falsetto and Barry Gibb called his voice the "voice of God." The Bee Gees idolized Roy. Also check out Roy Orbison's "You're Not Alone Anymore" which was his song with the Traveling Wilbury's. Insane falsetto on that. Thanks for the reaction.
The lead singer of the Stylistics had a heart turning vibrato. Marvin Gaye on the album "Romantically Yours" does some overdubbed vibrato that gives me chills from heaven.
I was 15 when this song came out and they donated all of the publishing royalties to the UNICEF charity, to the song earned over $7 million in publishing royalties...I'm 56 now........Andy, the baby brother, a very popular singer in his own right, passed away back in '88 of heart failure...Maurice on Barry's left died during surgery in '03 and his fraternal twin Robin to the right of Barry passed in 2012 of cancer....Barry is still alive and kicking...... be clear as unique as Barry is...as his brothers pushed him to sing falsetto because ge waa amazing.....there are other great falsetto singers over the years....Russell Thomkins from The Stylistics whom I believe they were channelling with "Too Much Heaven".....Phillip Bailey from EWF.....and Prince are three for starters....when I hear songs by them and others ffom my childhood...its very emotional because music was so different during my upbringing...its more than nostalgic and all about love which is never passé....so I understand your tears!!!

Oh wow that’s terrible I’m extremely sorry to hear that! 😔 thank you for the kind words! I know it’s not the same as your mom physically being here, but she’ll always be alive in your heart, and sometimes I talk to my grandma out loud too cause it’s a comforting thought for me that she’s in a better place than here, and I feel she can hear me even though it sounds silly, but I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to grieve, and we all just do the best we can! My thoughts are with you, and if you ever need to talk I’m always here! 💙
Thank you for your heartfelt emotional reaction. I actually have seen another young woman burst into tears when she heard them and said the music touched her soul. I love the Bee Gees so much and how others react to their music and lyrics something very much missing now. Please react to STAYING ALIVE and you look too young to have heard them in the 70s? It is definitely missing today I mean they’ll never be anyone else with voices like there’s in quite the same way they’re unique! No I definitely wasn’t around in the 70’s I don’t remember what I said in the video but I probably said something about it feeling like I was transported to the 70’s or how cool it would’ve been to see them in the 70’s cause I was born in 92 lol thank you so much!

Thank you Savy for: sharing, being open, vulnerable and speaking truth about love in these times. We all need to cherish what we have, do what we love, give love, get love, appreciate love, see love, spread love, spend time with people we love and love ourselves. The harmonizing is amazing and no one did or does a beard/hair combo like the BEE GEES.
Thank you for watching, and being so supportive Doug! That’s very true we all need to be appreciative of the people we have, and the things we do have, and always to practice, and be sure to tell those that are close to us that we love them, and let them know we care, and even to people we don’t really know we never know who’s struggling out here, and needs that love most so it’s always nice to spread it whenever we can! 💙 They really did have incredible harmonies together! Lmao that’s also very true! 😂
In 1991 they donated a song to the children of bosnia, after a traumatic war they went thru', called 'Blue Island'. Perfect three part harmony with chest voices (so this one is their falsettos). Check out 'Blue Island' live on MTV Most Wanted. That's brilliant.
I’m learning that they donated a lot in these comments, and it’s making me love them even more! I’ll be sure; and check it out thank you for the recommendation! 💙
It's like they invented harmony. Live band, no auto tune, no computerized voice enhancement and one mic for all three of them. Back then (1979). singing was just pure, raw talent. By the date of this recording, the BeeGees had already been singing together professionally for 21 years when Barry was 12 years old and the twins were just 9. All of the Gibb brothers including little brother, Andy, could sing in that amazing falsetto voice. But Barry was the master. He was able to exorcise more control over it. The Gibbs were, in my opinion, the most multi-talented families in music history. They wrote their own songs as well as writing songs for many other musical greats. This song was included on a compilation album to benefit UNICEF. There were many artists who recorded songs on the album, but the BeeGees gave all the royalties from this song in any form. In, at that time, an unprecedented move, they also gave UNICEF the publishing rights to Too Much Heaven. To date, Too Much Heaven has raised over 11 million dollars for UNICEF. In 1967, they wrote a song called To Love Somebody which appeared on their third album titled BeeGees 1st, but their first internationally, as the first two albums were only released in Australia. BeeGees 1st was released in July '67. Otis Redding was set to record To Love Somebody on his next album. Sadly, Otis was killed in a plane crash, Dec 10,1967. I thought for the longest time that they didn't record it themselves until after the death of Otis Redding. Their brother Andy Gibb had a very successful solo career as well until his death on March 10,1988. Just 5 days after turning 30. Andy had developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, which was brought on by a viral infection While most people recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection due to his history of drug use. Soo sad!
I couldn’t agree more they definitely did invent harmony that’s a perfect way to put it! Yes I agree it just had that raw music back then that’s just untouched! I would agree with that as well I mean it’s amazing enough that they had voices unlike anything you’ve ever heard before, and then like you said their song writing, and just everything they did for music! Oh man that’s really sad I heard he wasn’t quite 30 that’s way too young so unfortunate, and really heartbreaking! Thank you for sharing that information I enjoyed reading some facts that I wasn’t aware of! 💙
i do understand about getting emotional on this song for many reasons including remembering the grandmas uncles family etc, keep going young lady cause you do have a bright future ahead of you, so let that inside light shine like you know how it can, and by the way i cant forget to mention something you already know but i am saying it, you are very PRETTY, GORGEOUS and BEAUTIFUL
I did this with my kids at first they couldn't stand my music now some songs they here they call me and tell me dad I miss you our song just came on then I get emotional and then I laugh at them music brings people together
Aww that’s very special it truly does bring people together even if it doesn’t seem like it at first, but I think as we get older we appreciate things differently, because we worry less about worrying what other people think is cool, and just enjoy what we love, and those moments always stick close to home! You and your family take care, and stay safe! 💙
I loved the BeeGee's from the time I got my first record of theirs in 1967. They were incredible songwriters and singers. Barry Gibb just released a new album, "Greenfields" singing with many artists who loved the BeeGee's and asked if they could work with him. It is a spectacular album. Best I've heard in a long while except for Band Maid, but I like rock also. They are old school rock with a sophisticated modern twist comprising an all Japanese young female band. I call them the Beatles of the 2000s because while they are heavy, they make you happy. If you would like to check them out on You Tube, "Daydreaming" or "Endless Story" are softer beautiful songs, or if you are into something harder, "Warning!" or "Blooming" would blow you away with their musicianship. You could listen to more than fifty songs of their and there isn't a bad one. Back to the BeeGees, I was sadden a lot by the deaths of Barry's brothers. I don't think there will ever be a group like them again. Barry is only surpassed by Paul McCartney as the most successful songwriter ever. That speaks volumes. Thank you for your reaction.
It was interesting you said "How could anyone not want to listen to the Bee Gees." Too Much Heaven marks the beginning of the end of the Bee Gees as a singing group. Two more hits in 78 and that was the end. There was an anti Disco movement that was singling out the Bee Gees and some others as not cool to listen to anymore. They went on to success producing for others.
I know sweetie it's ok we are here for a short time like the rest of us. and I love all your music with you keep doing what you're doing I love you and ty for doing what you're doing
That’s true it’s beautiful that we get to experience the connections we do while we’re here, but it’s hard losing people that were such a big part of our lives, but that’s life, and we just gotta cherish the memories, and moments we have! 💙 Aw thank you so much that makes me happy to hear! Oh yes I will thank you for the support much love!
She really did! I didn’t know it at the time apart from The Bee Gees but I love listening to what she used to now and she’s probably getting a kick out of it that I love the music that I once didn’t like listening to 😂 oh yes I’ll be revisiting a lot of music from the past I think it’s important to listen to the classics too cause it really shows you music from different time frames when even though it’s the same world was once so different and constantly changing, and since music like that doesn’t exist much anymore I love revisiting it! Thank you so much for watching! 💙
This is, hands down, my favorite Bee Gees song. I was never into disco music back when they were popular so this song slipped by me. Now I really appreciate the purity and lovely harmonies in this song. I seriously doubt songs like this will ever be made again........
The group the Bee Gees were brothers. All 3 brothers have falsetto range which made them that more talented. The Bee Gees have been recording as a group since the early 60's. The group became even more popular in the 70's. Their music could easily stand up today in rotation on any R&B or Soft Rock Radio station. Sadly Barry Gibb the lead singer is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first. Maurice Gibb passed away then Robin Gibb passed away leaving only Barry.
If The Bee Gees made their debut today, you wouldn’t be the only one reacting with so much emotion. I mean, I can see(and hear) women screaming and crying at a Bee Gees concert, if they were just debuting today!

Take care!! 💙

It is a beautiful song!! Just like you.
Thanks so much for this wonderful sincere reaction. I agree with what you said. God bless you!
Gorgeous.... and the song.
The bee gee's best
May God bless you for that genuine reaction of love for your grandmother! She obviously was a wonderful lady who meant quite a bit to you! Hopefully I'll get to meet her in Heaven one day! Thanks so much for your wonderful reaction!

God bless you, young lady. I am sorry for your loss but I am so glad that The Bee Gees make you happy and help your heart heal
I understand. It’s the magic of the BeeGees. They do it to a lot of people!!! Sorry for your loss:(
I LOVE YOUR LOVING HEART....I AM SURE YOUR GRAND MOTHER IS PROUD OF YOUR HEART.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I HOPE SHE WOULD BE I GOT IT FROM HER!! Your comment was very nice to read thank you very much!! 🥹
GOAT. period.

LOL, good luck listening to ALL of their music...
That is a Lot of music
LOL it can be done idk if I’ll listen to ALL of it on here, but it’s not hard to do really if you like music and listen to it everyday

Hello, nice to find your channel and see this reaction for first time And thanks You so much for your emotional reaction, I noted how you love the old music that never die
I am 63 years old and I remember that time very well "Too much heaven" was a big hit in 1978 It was the year after their big succes in the movie "Saturday Night Fever" with your soundtrack
BEE GEES with this song led the initiative of a concert to benefit UNICEF and donate royalties from this song
Many artists participated in that event on January 9, 1979:
Andy Gibb, Olivia Newton John, Rita Coolidge, Kris Cristoferson, Donna Summer, Rod Stewart, John Denver, Earth Wind & Fire and ABBA
(I ssw all this Concert in TV and buy the album in my country Argentina)
Now I ask you ... did you hear ABBA?
that night They premiered a ballad pop "Chiquitita" (composed it especially and also donated royalties) and it was a worldwide hit in 1979, much more in Latin America (increased when ABBA recorded it again in Spanish version)
I would like you to include Them in your reactions Here is the link of their interpretation that night:
ruclips.net/video/lsme6df584s/видео.html
ABBA was a successful Swedish pop group between 1972/1982
ABBA had some initial success in Scandinavia but achieved its massive diffusion when it participated and triumphed in the classic Eurovision Song Contest held in England 1974 (against 16 songs and interpreters from all over Europe) with your song "Waterloo" that launched them to the international fame
From there begins a series of more than 20 successes in several countries on all continents and will be the leading group of the 70s.
ABBA is an acrostic with the initials of their first names, and They was two couples too:
Agnetha (blonde singer) &
Björn (guitar and songwriter)
Benny (pianist and songwriter) &
Anni Frida (brunette singer)
If you love the BEE GEES voices and harmonies (and I see Your feeling and emotions) I hope you love too the ABBA voices and harmonies from the female leads vocals
Very good week for You
Kind regards from

AND you are GORGEOUS!!
RIP Robin and maurice Gibb
Very sweet! It is ok to cry. Christ Cares. Thanks for great reaction!
The lead singer of the Stylistics had a heart turning vibrato. Marvin Gaye on the album
"Romantically Yours" does some overdubbed vibrato that gives me chills from heaven.
I'm glad to hear u found someone worth investing ur life and love too shorty

In 1991 they donated a song to the children of bosnia, after a traumatic war they went thru', called 'Blue Island'. Perfect three part harmony with chest voices (so this one is their falsettos). Check out 'Blue Island' live on MTV Most Wanted. That's brilliant.

This is, hands down, my favorite Bee Gees song. I was never into disco music back when they were popular so this song slipped by me. Now I really appreciate the purity and lovely harmonies in this song. I seriously doubt songs like this will ever be made again........
Me too
The group the Bee Gees were brothers.
A beautiful reacter for sure.
You should look for their last show they did together . It was all 3 brothers live in Vegas . That was a great show & I was there 🎸
