Film description: Nick Morton is a soldier of fortune who plunders ancient sites for timeless artifacts and sells them to the highest bidder. When Nick and his partner come under attack in the Middle East, the ensuing battle accidentally unearths Ahmanet, a betrayed Egyptian princess who was entombed under the desert for thousands of years. It sucks the whole Dark Universe plan was scrapped, it really had potential but at the same time we had a pre-packaged Mummyverse to make this movie with. Like I would have had Imhotep come back one more time, maybe feature a now old Alex O'Connell and his Granddaughter being the one to take him on and in the end the only way to destroy him was to take on the curse herself and thus become the new Mummy. Then they could have stuck to the plan to have Johnny Depp play the Invisible man with Doctor Jekyl being the sort of Nick Fury that brings them together along with the Wolfman and Frankenstein's monster to battle Dracula.
I feel like this movie tried to do too much. The 1999 version was simple, a bit ridiculous, and a good time. I like your idea though and wish they would have taken their time trying to establish a universe.

I violently hate this concept. They literally could've just made a better movie. I looked at some of the concepts and deleted stuff they removed from this movie and I just had to shake my head. The stuff they deemed "boring" and "unnecessary" would've made it ten times better
Universal made The Mistake of giving Tom Cruise control of The Mummy which was why it didn't do too well.
This movie seemed like a past its prime Tom Cruise thinking he's still A List blockbuster material it was basically Mission Impossible with mummies he completely missed the spirit of why we liked the original franchise and thought he had an instant pop culture hit like the first one with none of the effort
I like the sandstorm behind them as they are riding their horses, showing Nick's godhood over the desert

Nope. This movie made so little money in theaters that Universal Studios' big budget "Dark Universe" plans for their Horror characters was scrapped. Now they're working with Blumhouse for MUCH smaller budgets starting with The Invisible Man as a whole new reboot.

Even though this movie is called THE MUMMY it doesn't refer to Brendan Fraser and rachel Weisz movie its own movie. The mummy series is completely different from this mummy movie with tom cruise. Instead of comparing them together and if this movie had a different title. Would people like it more? This Mummy movie is quite good than I realized it. Different story, different actors, storyline and is better on its own in my opinion.
Actually might not be as separate as you might think. If you watch Hyde vs Nick you can see the book from the earlier mummy movies fall to the ground.. so maybe not as far apart. Seemed like a hint at a possible connection later on but idk if it’s gonna happen now.

Okay. This could work up a sequel. Nick actually starts the dark universe. Traveling through foreign lands and in his path. Finds the gang of monsters. First frankenstien. Then his buddy the wolfman. Then dracula hears about a tale about a monster looking for other monsters. Setting up a meet up to rid their curses. But at the end. They don’t regret their powers and now are a family. Except for dracula. Who could be the villian of their team up of the gallery of monsters. Setting up the invisible woman. A change in the rogue of monsters

Its a shame that Dark Universe didn't really kick off, ive would've loved to see a propper cinematic universe with the Universal Monsters.

He's already broke the curse and he didn't even need to travel the world to break it (so in the meantime they learn more about ancient ruins in the process) the eagle devil threw in the towel and gave me alligence and gave me the left eye. So much in breaking the curse and that's what you all get for worshipping devil's jinn and dajjaals they all jumped ship.

Heck Justin Long getting licked on The Face would've been better than that creepy little bastard Cruise. Justin Long is very underrated, and I liked him in Jeepers Creepers plus he wouldn't have done Sofia Boutella dirty like that Circus Midget Tom Cruise did which doesn't surprise me being how it was Tom Cruise's ego that destroyed The Mummy, and this wasn't the 1st time he has done this. According to R. Lee Ermey in an interview it was Tom Cruise's ego that destroyed Stanley Kubrick's last film Eyes Wide Shut. Justin Long would've been perfect in The Mummy because he is just 4 years older than Sofia Boutella and 6 years older than Annabelle Wallis and chemistry was why Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz did so well together.

Monster-verse was supposed to be a beautiful series of films that should have ended almost like an Avengers series
