By far one of the most underrated games on the N64 catalogue and in the entire 5th generation of consoles... His only drawback was that you had to find every single tribal to complete the game, but apart from that, the game was awesome in all his aspects (Graphics, Sound, Gameplay, History, etc.).
I finnaly found it so happy seeing this game again :D been looking so hard what it was called ive never passed that game as a kid because it was to hard for me at the time, and i might return to it again to finish it!
I just found my old strategy guide for this game. it's so sick. I remember this was the goreist game I'd ever played at the time and that made it so much cooler... Co-op was extremely badass here too
This was one very underrated game. Which is sad because Jet Force Gemini was probably one of the greatest N64 games there ever was. Along with Ocarina Of Time and Perfect Dark of course.
This game was too difficult for me in terms of puzzles back when I was 7 and I didnt understand English (not my mother tongue). I did realize I had to find all the parts for the ship, but without a guide, going from planet to planet with all 3 characters hoping to find a new spot with a new piece... Never finished it back then. It was first last year I actually picked it up on an emulator and finished it all together. :)
I had the same experience with the language barrier back then, I think I was able to figure it out by looking at pictures from a walkthrough published in Nintendo Power magazine, a long long time ago :)
Ur a legend... I still have this on N64 and loved it..... i still do!! it was really hard to do... i got lost in a swamp area as juno and was well annoyed for at least 3 days
jet force gemini, i remeber gettin that on a saturday and boy it was one of those games where youd play it from 12 to 12 and not give food or bathroom a thought. a real gem and i feel so good about it even with its primitive visuals. a real classic nintendo game
I just started playing this game again. I have no idea what to do just like when i first got it, and it brings back a lot of memories. I wish games like this were still made.
Ah, the memories. I recall my first impression of this game back then: Wtf, everything looks so CHILDISH (even the weapons). Oh, how wrong I was. This was one of the most challenging N64 games. The few boss battles it had were EPIC, some weapons were overkill, and the grunt enemies sometimes displayed some... interesting behavior, like running away, circling the WHOLE stage and wait in ambush near the end of the area.
This game was insanely fun back in the day. I used to play it all the time with my cousins. More so than the pokemon games believe it or not. And I loved Gold.
This game was out 2 years before the xbox/ps2/gamecube were launched, this game was well ahead of its time...Its a shame Rare didn't get enough sales to consider a sequel.
I can only agree very much. When this game was released I had so high expectations that I was actually a bit disappointed at first. But I played it anyway, and I gradually came to really love it. My only regret now is that I want to find more games like this, but my search has been rather fruitless... If anyone has any good suggestions for other great third-person shooters (and/or action adventures) in atmospheric science fiction settings, I'm very interested! Please let me know!
Oh man, I loved playing this game so much when I was a little lad;shooting ant droids, cockroaches and mutant droids. I can't seem recall that little robots name that helps them later on...
I had a nintendo 64 when i was like 4-6 then traded with my uncle a ps1, why did i do that when i was young? I forgot about this game and when i remembered this brought so much child hood memories. From the time I use to have no memory card and start again and STILL LOVED IT,I miss the old gaming days :( although I may be young (15 turning 16) MY Gaming experiance is more than average. I miss and love this game and hard to believe why i traded nintendo for ps1, now i highly regret
I remember the third level with the red world and dark evil figures scared me as a kid! I just now found this game after years of pondering what it was.
this game was fucking amazing i just downloaded it on project 64 and was able to re live my childhood but now that im older the game seems alot easier then when i was a kid
I remembered when my dad first bought this game back on n64 in 1999 when I was only 9 years old and I would play versus mode with my siblings in 2000 but we could never beat the game at that time we sucked at it 😂 but I started playing it all over again years later as an adult on xbox series s in 2022 as an adult and this time made it farther in the game since I never did as a kid back in 1999 and 2000 😂
Man just tried to remember this game, took me an hour to find out the name. I will play it once more for the purpose of I didn't collect all of something,
"Holy SHIT! THANK YOU! I've played this when I was 6 or 7...And I could only remember the ants attacking the furry creatures...then the dog and girl escaping... I've been trying to find the title and everything. Thanks to this vid- its all coming back. This WAS a really good game and I'm gonna go look for it! "Thanks again!"
I remember reading the whole walkthrough of this game and the pictures to I never owned this game back then I had Starwars Shadows of the empire, doom, duke nukem and at a friends house played golden eye 007. damn sadly I didn't get a chance to own the rest of rare's awesome games as a kid.
Oh this vid brings back memories.... This was the first game I ever played on the N64 system, and only one game stands above it in my Top 3 Favorite video games list - Ocarina of Time. Yes, I'm a zelda freak. But yeah, I have this game on an n64 emulator, and it's just as fun now as it was back then. my computer doesn't lag as much as the n64 did though, lol...it just runs smoother than the console did. Anyway - awesome game, still hoping for a sequel.
Jet Force Gemini and Conkers Bad Fur Day were also the last greatest games from Rare. At least they're going back to their roots with Perfect Dark for Xbox Arcade.
Me either I was stuck on that boss on the lava that keeps dropping larva bombs. It took like 3 of those hits and I was done. I couldn't even shoot all the parts off in time
@Chris385261 hahah, yeah we lost ours too. But last year I went to a store near my school that sells old games, and they had 1 copy of JFG for $10, and I was like O_O *Picks it up*
@super3dcow I actually bought a bag of N64 games for 5 bucks during garage sales this summer. I counted and I got 43 games. One of them one Jet Force Jemini. While not my favorite of the ones I bought, it is pretty damn awesome.
I was always bummed out because they didn't get to keep their cool ship from the intro.. that ship was awesome! ... even cool dices hangin over the dashboard ^^ ..
HOLY CRAP! I haven't seen this thing in SO FREAKING LONG! I never got past the lava level because my brother sucks at video games so hard... DAMN CAN'T BELIEVE I HAD THIS GAME!
Well, it is a lot alike. JFG is in outer space like halo, and you fight aliens. And microsoft bought Rare, so both games were made by the same company.
This is one of those games that begs to have a sequel. Come on, Rare. You made a new Perfect Dark. You're working on a new Banjo-Kazooie. Make Jet Force Gemini 2!
Heh, actually the same thing happened to me. I have no idea where my cartridge is, and that was the main reason for me to get a N64 emulator, just for JFG.
Rare cannot develop games for the Wii. But they can develop for download services for other systems and the DS/GBA. I think it's only a matter of time for this to be released on the VC. Goldeneye is another matter since the licence is now tied up with Sony too.
Seriously, game companies could just stop makeing new games and just remake old games and we would be set for life. There are so many old classics that I've never got to playing that have great stories or gameplay.
How about a pseudo sequel? ruclips.net/video/MuqrsYOMqvE/видео.html Yes it's made by the Jet Force Gemini team. Tamarin comes out September 10th on PC and PS4 I am so hyped!! Awesome upload btw, I 100%ed JFG and never loving it.

Agree all the way. Growing up, most did not want to play this game when I played it, but it had a ton going for it.
The music still sounds incredible all these years later! This was one of my favorite games of all time, I miss it so much!
0:36 Fuzzy dice, a must-have accessory for any spaceship!
Just now noticed it haven't played this game since I was a kid 😂😂😂
damn this joint bring back some memories of being a kid. #CLASSIC
I finnaly found it so happy seeing this game again :D been looking so hard what it was called ive never passed that game as a kid because it was to hard for me at the time, and i might return to it again to finish it!

i could’ve never get pass the mantis boss. gonna return and finish it too 😎
"Hold on... So you're telling me I have to rescue ALL of those little bear things? The ones I've been killing for fun up to this point?"
I remember this game
I just found my old strategy guide for this game. it's so sick. I remember this was the goreist game I'd ever played at the time and that made it so much cooler... Co-op was extremely badass here too

I love how Vela had bounce physics on her, even in 1999. Oh Rare.....
I felt like it was unneeded, but also kind of impressive for the hardware. Lol
Just noticed her mini skirt now lol, not the kinda thing you'd get away with now (probably)
This game is so much fun to play when you're high lmao
Omg I thought I was the only one! XD
hope to see a remake or a part 2 on the xbox one.
Only starfox and DK are still under nintendo.
I have forgotten about you my old friend.
I want a remake version!
Now this is a classic game.I grew up playing this underrated game...love it!.
I started playing it again a few days ago, I forgot how epic sounds, musics and atmosphere were. Definitely one of my favorite game of all time.
Ur a legend... I still have this on N64 and loved it..... i still do!! it was really hard to do... i got lost in a swamp area as juno and was well annoyed for at least 3 days
Game was beautiful brings back memories as a kid. Nostalgics maaaannnn….

it was my favorite game.
I loved it
This game was insanely fun back in the day. I used to play it all the time with my cousins. More so than the pokemon games believe it or not. And I loved Gold.
Ah...the nostalgia. This brings back so many memories. I need to find this game again.
This game was out 2 years before the xbox/ps2/gamecube were launched, this game was well ahead of its time...Its a shame Rare didn't get enough sales to consider a sequel.
i love it how they try to make it so serious with the music, and effects but to me its just comical to see a bear and ant have a fight

Truer words haven't been spoken in a long time, thank you for understanding what the game industry is doing
This game pwns so many FPS games of today. This here is a retro classic.
I feel like this game is a huge reason for why I like science fiction so much today. Especially space opera.
Sticking a machine gun/rocket launcher onto a dog's back is probably the greatest idea ever.

Odd how cup-holding in game looked better then than in modern games
I remember the third level with the red world and dark evil figures scared me as a kid! I just now found this game after years of pondering what it was.

it needs a remake right away, the music, the story,, the leght of the game, the graphics in it's time.
I remembered when my dad first bought this game back on n64 in 1999 when I was only 9 years old and I would play versus mode with my siblings in 2000 but we could never beat the game at that time we sucked at it 😂 but I started playing it all over again years later as an adult on xbox series s in 2022 as an adult and this time made it farther in the game since I never did as a kid back in 1999 and 2000 😂
Man when I first played this and saw that little guy explode into a bloody mess it freaked me out lol.
Man, this game brought good memories when I had my N64... Now Im downloading N64 emuator on my psp.

Man just tried to remember this game, took me an hour to find out the name. I will play it once more for the purpose of I didn't collect all of something,

OMG!!! i lost this game back in 99 =[ WEll its good to see memories =]
Yes he definitely should do it! the disco dancing part was really funny!
@Chris385261 hahah, yeah we lost ours too. But last year I went to a store near my school that sells old games, and they had 1 copy of JFG for $10, and I was like O_O *Picks it up*
Finally! The name of the game was Jet Force Gemini! I played this game Long ago and forgot what it was called.
As a kid, when the ants killed those white things during the intro, it kinda scarred me for life xD
@super3dcow I actually bought a bag of N64 games for 5 bucks during garage sales this summer. I counted and I got 43 games. One of them one Jet Force Jemini. While not my favorite of the ones I bought, it is pretty damn awesome.
One of my favorite N64 games, those were the days when rare made the best games
this has so many memories...god les hope they do make a remake!
@imiritu you just said what rareware do with Conker's Bad Fur Day...
I loved this game so much!
one of my favorite of all time
i just played this game for the first time in about ten years but the swamp full of zombie drones stills scares the shit out of me
The best rareware ware
Well, it is a lot alike. JFG is in outer space like halo, and you fight aliens. And microsoft bought Rare, so both games were made by the same company.
I really hope Rare makes a Jet Force Gemini 2, and a Killer Instinct 3!
I,ve played this game off and on for years, and I still haven't beaten the last boss.
this Nintendo 64 game is very nostalgic ❤️
A 3ds remake would be awesome, especially with fixed controls. IDK how it would work without the circle pad though.
This and Conkers Bad Fur Day were the best games from Rareware and the best ever in my mind.
Who here has seen someone else play this game when you were little, not knowing what the fuck it was but thought it was really awesome?
OMFG THIS GAME KICKED ASS! i forgot all about it. must have it now.
Man I miss shooting a bunch of bugs in a tight corridor with a machine gun and creating a mess.
Used to play this game it kicked ass lol
I really loved this game!!! I used to play it like crazy, funny thing i never finished it!!! I DEMAND A RE-MAKE!!!!!!!!!!
@super3dcow haha. yeah. either that or buy it off amazon for as little as 75 bucks but as much as 91. loved this game!!!
this game should be remade!!! same story, same maps, same characters, and no bullshit!
i really enjoyed this game,i wish i still had it!
good game! :D
Oh god I wish I still had this game!
Jet Force Gemini, Yoshi story, Star Fox 64 are my favourite games ever
i love this game i actually did a how 2 play this game in school when it first came out and i got an A+
Ahh I still have this great title. Finished it too. :)
This is one of those games that begs to have a sequel. Come on, Rare. You made a new Perfect Dark. You're working on a new Banjo-Kazooie. Make Jet Force Gemini 2!
Not sure if it is on the list to be released yet, but nintendo would be a fool to not release it ever.
i remember this being the most addicting game ever
I remember this game from when i was little!
Heh, actually the same thing happened to me. I have no idea where my cartridge is, and that was the main reason for me to get a N64 emulator, just for JFG.
@super3dcow if they do, it will look fricking great! i hope they dont screw up again.

i still got it, forgot to return it in 97or99 at the blockbuster
Good to see more videos displaying this great game.
I wish Microsoft would put this up on Xbox Live Arcade. It's a great game that brings back a lot of memories from the good old times with the N64.
This game looks pretty cool. Also, the characters look like something off an anime show.
Seriously, game companies could just stop makeing new games and just remake old games and we would be set for life. There are so many old classics that I've never got to playing that have great stories or gameplay.

I have to agree with you. This game was like, the Halo of Nintendo.
I miss the splattering of the drones!
Not to mention Floydd's story and the cool guns.
I remember Jet Set Radio. That was a good game too.
