I'll never use a wireless VR I've always used cables and have zero problems with it. I'd rather have better graphics fu$k the cable.

I’ll need to grab those quest pro controllers. So I can touch…things in Atomic Heart when it gets modded for VR.

I like your perspective, I do agree that Vr is future. I could see this video on some reaction responses from someone like asmondgold just for the Drama this take would drum up from the Anti VR game Andy's

Lol that video title... no. VR has some niche uses, but it will never replace keyboard and mouse PC gaming. VR is too limited in what it can do with motion controls and it doesn't work with many styles of game play. Not sure if you noticed, but not all games are first person 3D. The best games in the past 5-years were 2D games that would never work in VR. I own a VR headset there are all of three games worth playing on it and porn.

VR fanatics be announcing death of 2d screen gaming for past 8 years or so while handheld gaming devices are taking over the world.

The thing is, nobody is going to sell a mildly expensive device solely dedicated to a niche genre of gaming to casuals. Android and ios smartphones sell to mobile gamers because they can do a lot more besides gaming fairly competently. Even dedicated gaming handhelds such as steamdecks and nintendo switch has a lot appeal to casuals in their own way---- Steamdeck being an entire low end gaming pc that fits into a corner of your backpack while switch is the de facto device for nintendo exclusives and a very lightweight and cheap device that can be found anywhere in the world.
A vr headset is just a fucking display that sits on your head and can barely do anything besides displaying things while being an unwieldy piece of shit that sometimes maybe play some ultra casual titles that nobody has even heard about. You need a processing powerhouse with that to go. That would never sit well with casuals. The thing is, if the product doesn't sell to casuals, it can't be future of anything. In this day and age where people prefer portability and comfort, vr has a long way to go before claiming to be the future of gaming.
