When I had my oldest daughter they kept the babies in the nursery then. The nurse brought me a baby in my room and I took 1 look at the baby and told the nurse this is not my baby bring me my baby. The nurses wouldn't listen to me and I kept telling them it was not my baby. Finally 1 nurse decided to listen to me and looked into it and realized they DID SWITCH THE BABY'S!! She came to my room and said I'm so sorry I looked into what you said and you are right 2 babies were accidentally switched and put in the wrong nursery cribs. She took the baby out and went to get my baby where the other woman was about to breastfeed her. She yelled stop doing what your doing!! The woman was confused and asked why. The nurse explained to her there was a mix up and she has the wrong baby and she was bringing her her actual baby. She then brought me my baby and apologized to me and told me the other woman was trying to breastfeed my baby. I knew I had the right baby this time. I asked the nurse how did the other woman not realize she had the wrong baby. She said babies can look alike, they're babies. I told her these babies look nothing alike, that baby had more hair than my baby. I knew right away she wasn't my daughter and I don't understand how any mother can't see they have the wrong baby. My daughter is my mini me, even today she's 27 years old and still looks like me. I'm glad I knew they brought me the wrong baby and I didn't listen to them and wouldn't let it go

He was upset with the nurses for allowing such a switch to happen. He said if you didn't pay so close attention to your baby and knew you were given the wrong baby, who knows what could have happened. We could have taken home the wrong baby! He thanked me repeatedly and gave me a lot of credit for knowing she wasn't my daughter. It makes me wonder how many times it happens. The nurse said a nurse was bathing the babies and put the babies in the wrong crib and didn't pay attention to what baby she was putting where and she would be heavily disciplined. I probably could have sued the hospital for their mistake but I didn't know I could and didn't know anything about suing. But I'm glad I raised my beautiful daughter and we have a very special bond.
@@jensmith2633 if you were well off financially (I assume) you could have had a lawyer explain it to you. But then again, I assume you didnt wanna add more problems on your shoulders especially after your daughter was born and wife recovering at the time
I’m thinking of a pair of identical twin sisters and a pair of identical twin brothers marrying each other and then having kids of the same gender at the same time, the two kids would be essentially sisters/brothers and it’s gonna be tough to even learn about whether they are mixed up in the hospital.
My dad never wanted doctors to take me away from my mom. And if they ever had to do something outside of the room my dad wouldn’t let them unless he could follow them and watch everything they were doing to me

As a mum I can understand her initial reaction. It be like if a strange woman showed up on my doorstop saying that the son I have raised for 23 years is not my biological son. It be a huge shook. But as far as I am concerned the son whom I have known love and raised all his life would always be my real son. The other boy Im sure I would love to but I would see him more as a nice kid rather than my actual son. Might see the other boy as some kind of nephew though in time.

This would happen in the past. After i gave birth to my child they put a beeping device with my name on my little ones foot. Now a days they put beeping device so that people knows who belongs to who. Those name tags and beeping devices aren't taken off until you get discharged from the hospital.

It comes to realize just because you find out your children are separated at birth doesn't mean you have to take them from one's care but rather instead can form a friendship between the people who raised them and between each other but it shows family it's not about blood is about those were there for you and took care of you and made you who you are today that's what makes one family more than anything else not blood not the carrier not the sperm donor but the people who are there for you up to that point
