I used chi 9s on my bleached hair with the 20 volume generator for permanent color and 90% washed out after 2 washes. How do I get it to dye as permanent?? It was a gorgeous color but didn’t stay at all.
Girl I have used Chi for almost a decade! I’m only 25 but when I was 15, my sister started beauty school and Chi is the brand she learned with & always used.) I was pretty much my sisters test dummy for her entire time at beauty school. So we’ve used everything Chi for YEARS. The lightener, the original color line (the cream color that comes in the tubes), all the styling products, flat irons, blow dryers, etc. I mean absolutely everything my sister owned was Chi. So trust me when I say that this entire brand is NOTHING like it used to be. I don’t know what happened but they just went downhill. When they came out with the liquid Shine Shades color (which is what she’s using in this video) I was so excited. I tried so hard to like it. My sister colored my hair with it about 3 times & never really got the look i wanted. We tried so many different formulas (mixing it with the clear to make it more of a gloss, formulating the color according to the manufacturers instructions based on their tonal charts, etc) and it was just weird. I thought that I was doing something wrong & so did my sister because we never really got the right results but if you look online & read the reviews, a lot of people are saying the same thing about Chi (it’s not that great anymore, and there are FAR better products for the same price.) The best my hair ever turned out was when it had been lightened to a level 10 - damn near white - and tapped my roots with 8A, let it process, and applied 9S & 9i to my lengths, combed the 8A through to blend it & let it process. It was a pretty color but it was not worth it because it washed out within a week. And I used the color lock treatment after coloring & then a couple times a week on top of that. Also, I use a sulfate free shampoo & conditioner, I have a filter on my shower head to prevent hard water, and I NEVER wash my hair in hot water EVER. So this color should have stayed put but it didn’t. And I think it also says something that anybody can walk into Sally’s and buy Chi now when it used to be exclusive to professional use only (places like SalonCentric & CosmoProf where you can only buy things if you have a cosmetology license) - so it seems to me they’re doing some shady stuff somewhere or just going downhill so they’re partnering with places like Sally’s. I highly recommend Joico’s Lumishine Liquid Color. It’s absolutely beautiful & far superior to this brand. It’s really easy to formulate with too. The first time I used it I fell in absolute love. I will never use Chi again!
U could add about 5% natural to your formula and instead of 20 vol maybe try 10 vol or even better 10 vol mixed with ionic color lock. Then u definetly need to use chis silver blonde conditioner and shampoo.
I always feel bad for them mideast who have ham hands RAKING through there hair -she flinched I don't blame her-and why would she just'rake her beefy hands Through her hair!? Uh.. yea we see she's got straight pretty hair!duh?!🤔
