Just stumbled across this. I DJ'd THIS GIG!! Was doing a show on WLVR at the time, The Generic Ritual Awesome show. The GIG, not my radio show. Something happened near the end of the night that made me crack up and still makes me laugh 'til this day. Can't elaborate severe violation of GUY CODE Sorry Enjoy
I walked with Mars after a show in SD and he really never smiled at all the during the show and I asked if it was still fun. He had a difficult time answering...you could see he was done. I had seen them many times before and Chris ALWAYS looked like this picture...Happy... but not in San Diego at the now abandon CA Theater
kind of reminds me of when Bob was four songs late at a show in 1984 and when he finally came on and plugged in Paul looked over at him and said: "You're Fired!"
thanks for commenting we finally got our channel back and will be more active, ... when they changed to the google plus commenting system our channel got stuck in a you tube glitch and it took months for the resolve .....
o.k., well I was there... bought the ticket here at a sporting goods store (south jersey) I remember it being like an abandoned ACME and that it was freezing cold...
I tried to follow them from 84 on whenever they came around, but it became more difficult when I ended up in a band... my boss (my brother) used to get so pissed when I just took off for a week to see shows! The Don't Tell A Soul Tower Theater show was where I got off the Merry Go Round... Paul sang the whole show in gibberish...my friend was more impressed with the dead milkmen (they opened) I was like, thanks, Paul, I've been telling this guy how great the band is... (that was my band's drummer too...ugh!)

😭Thank you so much for uploading 🙌🙌🙌✨✨✨❤
I'm fucking delighted Chris Mars is on the cover of this thing.
I asked Bob Stinson after a show in 1986 about not being too thrilled to be there at the show... he said, "Yeah, I'd rather be home right now."

+SLG52 True...I think the Replacements in general at this point were pretty much done. They continued on in name only.
Back to back! Great stuff, thanks for posting this.
great!

@@EasternPaMusic Do you happen to have a lossless copy of this show? Thank you.
"My brothers dead... actually Paul killed him..." (paul says) "Bob's doin' fine" wow...
I think the opening band was this cool garage/organ band led by Brother J.T.? I can't remember the band name...Cynics?
His band then was The Original Sins - great band. I was at the show as well.
did they play here in 1987 too?
one time only
