Why did they pull the dance scene of the dancers dancing in the streets with the bulldozers and all the other street sounds. That was one of the best scenes in the movie. ;(
My favorite scene in this movie is in Times Square. I taped it on video years ago and my boys grew up watching and loving it too. Such great memories of REAL talent.
Only the ignorant disable response to their you tube comments. One commentator wants to watch the movie again, but can't find it. However their disabling contact with rhem, no one can point out they missed that at the beginning of this clip that this movie can be bought or rented from RUclips. The again they may seen it but don't want to watch the movie if they have yo pay for it ;) . I like the movie, but probably not enough to purchase it. How ever I'd spend a buck or so to rent it.

Ive never seen this movie but... i always want to try tap dance so um intrested and admire.. the second onevi see the scene in jail... it reminds me the scene " huricane" with D. Washington.. why those people so talented are in this bad places? What is wrong?

A+ movie, A+ message, A+ talent. Top 100 films of all time. Maybe even top 50, even including all genres.
I adore this movie! It has it all: romance, intrigue, family ties and last but not least fantastic hoofing. I watch it at least once a year.

Gregory Hines is the greatest tap dancer since FredAstaire! I absolutely love the way he dances.

If Gregory Hines wasn't the best tap dancer ever, who was ? I have little knowledge of dance, but I suspect someone reading this does.
The greatest ever are Savion Glover and The Nicholas Brothers. Nobody even comes close.
