7:00 I think it's the Chorus/Vibrato effect selector switch, from the CE-1 Besides, I don't think Frusciante is aware of the news that Boss promotes, I see it as "just give me a Ds1 or Ds2"

You can notice that John is straight to the amp. Pedalborad are disconnected
I don’t think it’s the DS-1 waza. I don’t see the logo on the footswitch of the Boss pedal and I think what you thought is the waza mode selector is actually the footswitch of the CE-1 that switches between chorus and vibrato.
Another way to tell a vintage Jubilee from the reissue are the end caps on the handle. The original has black plastic handle ends and the reissue handle ends are a polished/mirror finish.
Just came back from Flea's Instagram, he just posted a story showing Henry setting up John's gear. You can see an MXR Distortion+ (yellow, two knobs), to the right of a DS2, and what seems to be a Boss RV6 on his "B" rig, plus the Digitech PDS1000 replacing the delay pedal we see in this video. Interesting!
This reminds me when everyone thought he was using Boss Xtorsion. The lights aren’t flashing here. So first things, no don’t agree with Waza. It definitely looks like you’re seeing the CE1’s footswitch in the way. I would then say it’s a DS1. It’s too orange up against the consistent yellow lights. I agree with someone else here, re the last pedal, that it is an MXR Micro Amp plus. Re the Dyna comp, I’m leaning towards DIST+. It’s too light. However, it could be a “Custom Comp” which is whitish grey and 2 knobs. The yellow light reflecting would be consistent. That first pedal top row is a bit of a mystery. I’m not seeing a boss. More like a volume/expression? Anyhoo, that’s my 2 cents worth…
It’s really hard to tell because of the lighting. If I had more time it would be interesting to white balance a screenshot to try and see the colours a bit better as they truly are. 9:15 I would confidently say it’s not a second reverb pedal. Unless it had a special paint job. It does look comparable to the Dyna Comp which is red, so it might be the ‘78 Distortion. Another idea is that it could be a MXR Micro Amp Plus. It’s sitting in the spot where his micro amp used to be, and he might have just been trying it out. Who knows? It sure is fun to speculate though. 😂
anyone know who makes John's pedalboard? I like the size and two rows layout better than my pedaltrain. I assume the size is a custom build.. looking for the builder so I can get a similar one for myself...
I'm almost thinking the "Dyna Comp" could be a Distortion+, just based on the position on the board. Hillel Slovak used one before switching to the OD1 later on in his career, and it could be a throwback to that. The one after is more than likely a DS1 based on the fact that his main distorted sound has always been a Boss. Speaking of Boss, considering he switched out the MXR Reverb for the Digitech delay, I'm thinking it's more likely a Boss Reverb next to the MXR

Mxr Micro Amp Plus is the 3 knob mxr pedal on the front row.

I saw that too! Currently editing a video on that subject now... I was waiting for more footage from that show and thankfully Flea delivered!
Interestingly it seems like he isn't even plugged into the pedalboard. Looks like he's plugged directly into the amp.

I think it’s an SD-1 or possibly a standard DS-1. I think it’s the CE-1 vibrato/chorus foot switch which makes it look like a waza series.

placing my bets on MXR distortion+, Boss DS1, MXR MicroAmp+
Nice work as usual, thanks Justin
I think that is the chorus/vibrato footswitch of the CE-1 protruding above the BOSS pedal and not a Waza craft toggle switch🧐
Does look like a DS-1 though
So, John without a CE-1 is like Edge without a dotted delay ?
Or Tom without a Whammy pedal
It's the MXR Distortion pedal. Also, It seems that it is a regular Boss DS-1 over there.
... Always excited for the Frusciante videos 🤟✨✨✨
on the Strat he uses 10-46 for standard tunning right?
That's obviously not a waza craft switch that's the switch to the ce1 dude.

Not sure what a promotional pedal board is??
I always heard he keeps his pickups low too.
Those don’t look low.
hi, I saw sd-1 in black color. I think it's just black version sd-1
I think that "ds1" is really a boss dm2
I think the "waza switch" might be the ce1 footswitch
Keep em comin'
That’s the CE-1 foot switch.
you need to add LINKS TO THE VIDEO
If you know his shirt is white you could try to white balance
John is openly endorsing MXR now it seems; they sent him a bunch of pedals before he started touring
🤟
😎✨✨
I think the jubilee is just a new one tbh.
