This is what introduced to me to techno when I found it on lime wire when I was 14 years old in 2004… omg I used to listen to it everyday, I lived in America on the west coast and could only imagine my self being in the club, been into techno ever since… and being where I was I could never find anyone else into techno… in my teens then later EDM became a thing in America but not the same, later I found out Detroit techno was poppin but I was no where near the scene Makes me sad sometimes cus it’s been 20 years now it’s hard to believe :( love this mix!!

The scene was growing, this documentary was necessary to show the world what was happening. From 2000 to 2007 was incredible, then came Hawtin and Magda with their Minimal and destroyed the scene. It's 2024 and now we are seeing the emerging of the old and true Techno together with some Electro.
I've been keeping this sound alive for years now in what is now the old Chicago underground scene... I still play Tribal/funk/hard/old skool at REALLLLLY UNDERGROUND parties which happen maybe once or twice a year now... SAD.. But what can you do? This type is called Hard Techno or Schranz (Schranz is a lot cheesier style)...DJ's who still play this are DJ Rush, Marco and Ramon Remus, Miss Djax, Pet Duo, Fernanda Martins, Ivee, Frank Kvitta, Mario Ranieri, Fatima Haji...But be aware that the golden age of Hard Techno was early '00s and that today's Hard Techno can be cheesy and that pretty much all sounds the same...But maybe I'm wrong, I was never into it too much... :)

This is what introduced to me to techno when I found it on lime wire when I was 14 years old in 2004… omg I used to listen to it everyday, I lived in America on the west coast and could only imagine my self being in the club, been into techno ever since… and being where I was I could never find anyone else into techno… in my teens then later EDM became a thing in America but not the same, later I found out Detroit techno was poppin but I was no where near the scene

The scene was growing, this documentary was necessary to show the world what was happening. From 2000 to 2007 was incredible, then came Hawtin and Magda with their Minimal and destroyed the scene. It's 2024 and now we are seeing the emerging of the old and true Techno together with some Electro.

I've been keeping this sound alive for years now in what is now the old Chicago underground scene... I still play Tribal/funk/hard/old skool at REALLLLLY UNDERGROUND parties which happen maybe once or twice a year now... SAD.. But what can you do? I just keep the good memories and keep on playing that dope shit, REGARDLESS of what's changed!

This type is called Hard Techno or Schranz (Schranz is a lot cheesier style)...DJ's who still play this are DJ Rush, Marco and Ramon Remus, Miss Djax, Pet Duo, Fernanda Martins, Ivee, Frank Kvitta, Mario Ranieri, Fatima Haji...But be aware that the golden age of Hard Techno was early '00s and that today's Hard Techno can be cheesy and that pretty much all sounds the same...But maybe I'm wrong, I was never into it too much... :)
