It more of makes up for losing Chaos Ruler (in that you can banish Changshi again and get the revive plus foolish) and if you run Assault Synchron you can make room for Darkrage Dragon for a mill 5. That said, zombies are always a good rogue or anti meta option... unless the meta is stuff like Kashtira. Due to Konami's fear of giving more than 2 good zombie cards a year that usually just replace a generic card, the deck is always rogue.
It's really cool, but I do wonder if the deck can benefit from some additional draws and more hand trap spammage with the PUNK field and then replace it with Zombie World at the right time. Sharakusai + lvl 8 for the multi bounce is also pretty strong, and the big Floodgates this deck opts for have a bit more of a spell weakness, which Instant Contact infused PUNKs have an answer for usually, with Dragite
Seeing this deck I really wonder what the plan is if the opponent ever gets rid of Zombie World with something like a Runick or whatever else, but honestly it's so damn cool.

That said, zombies are always a good rogue or anti meta option... unless the meta is stuff like Kashtira. Due to Konami's fear of giving more than 2 good zombie cards a year that usually just replace a generic card, the deck is always rogue.
I love how MBT needs to hold onto the table in order to sit up for the bit.
We don't need P.U.N.K. (we do need assault synchron tho)
Zombies never die.
It's really cool, but I do wonder if the deck can benefit from some additional draws and more hand trap spammage with the PUNK field and then replace it with Zombie World at the right time. Sharakusai + lvl 8 for the multi bounce is also pretty strong, and the big Floodgates this deck opts for have a bit more of a spell weakness, which Instant Contact infused PUNKs have an answer for usually, with Dragite
you never cease to give me that good ol cringe laugh, love ya
Seeing this deck I really wonder what the plan is if the opponent ever gets rid of Zombie World with something like a Runick or whatever else, but honestly it's so damn cool.
Poor Jillian, she married a theater kid and is now paying the price
Um I’m also a theater kid, the falling over at the end was my idea and it caught Joseph off guard
YEAS FINALLY ZOMBIES ARE GOOD AGAIN
Fun facts: The ghost deck was used by the first villain in the yugioh 5d's manga.
I was getting Terry Silver vibes from Jillian with that evil laugh that she did
oh boy! A new cool deck i can play in paper! Surely it will be a reasonable price!
kid named triple prospy:
That intro was so gooood lmao
The dlink game wasn't won by punks, it was all TTT lmaoooooo
I love how the intros have been slowly degenerating into "theater kids" moments
I used to like zombies for having cool boss monsters like Bale. Now they too result in Baronne...
Can't believe they finally power crept uni and mezuki.
“But, uhhhhhh we ain’t got that card anymore”
Don’t got Baronne anymore either
The plants vs zombies song is so nostalgic ❤
First, it's morning where i live
Second, that zombies on ur lawn joke was cool 😅😅
If only that zombie support from a few sets back was good outside of immortal dragon
I would argue that mad mauler is also good especially with spright sprind in vampire decks and alghoul mazera is great protection even though it doesn't help make better boards.
@@vasilistheocharis164yea but none of those were going to elevate zombies outside of niche rogue status. I look at some of the insane things cyberse piles and fiends get on the reg and then I inhale copium looking at stuff like mauler.
@@michaelgjrjvebs yeah I agree with you the sort of vaguely zombie decks only had help with Immortal Dragon as it turned a shiranui squire into a gozuki (based on your hand also some deck thinning)and also Extended combos. I am just saying as the psychopathic inventor of adding arise heart in vampires, that mad mauler helps diversify vampire deck boards in a nice way that makes them more playable. And vampires play like zombies so they should be noted.
Edit: vaguely zombie deck is what I call the uni zombie, shiranui, zombie world(also playspreader sometimes)deck that we call zombies.
@@vasilistheocharis164very specifically looking at zombie world variants, especially because it's clear the new support was supposed to help out ZW specifically. The fact that mauler is mediocre in ZW and better in vampires(which I agree with based on the small amount of vampires I play tested with post TZV) feels super bad when stuff like Fraulein and sucker were good in both zombie variants a few years ago.
Edit: to add onto this I'm talking about the failure of the new support to update the ZW play style to reflect the modern meta. The support came out in DIFO yet feels like stuff that wouldn't see play in 2020 outside of a couple of suspects.
One day fusion spells will become so crazy that a card that says: Odd Performa Eyes Jumbo Pendulum Josh Dragon Fusion that can fusion summon by sending monsters from the hand, deck, field, gy and/or deck to the ED face-up
Wait, the TCG JUST GOT Ghost Fusion? No wonder I haven't seen anyone using it.
Konami needs to give us good zombie cards, the depths we're willing to sink to play Doomking is getting embarrassing
whoa a zero dmage gaming sponsorship?! cool
I miss Chaos Ruler. This deck just doesn’t feel the same without him. ☹️
losing Chaos Ruler and Halq at the same time destroyed the deck. Konami hates Zombie players so much :/
@@buddbrown4910and I personally hate both cards for enabling so many degenerate stuff by being so exceedingly generic (don't even play Chaos Ruler in MD RN because of that, and waiting for it to hopefully be banned). Sorry if by proxy that makes me hate zombie players.
Can you build this for master duel?
wow great post joseph
You shoulda found a way to fit arise into ed in a kash format lol.
I watch this just for the fun video in the beginning yeah
So obviously we don't have the Kash engine in Master Duel yet. But I'm wondering, is there anything we can sub for the Fenrirs to be able to play this now? This idea looks so fun.
Love the deck that has 7 ways to a 1 card starter and can play 20+ non-engine, fun format fr tho I swear. Anyways unban chaos ruler and/or kitkallos
Something something Shiranui monsters effects trigger when banished.
Eh, their effects are mid if they get splashed into zombies. Changshi is the best target by far, 2nd best is Wyvern for the Bloom send into DK in end phase
12:14 Am I missing something?Couldn't MBT use Beatrice to detach Zeamine and saved the Garuda draw for next turn?
That's what I was thinking.
nice a zombie deck with just 4 zombie main monsters
I love how even a niche deck like this costs hundreds
this is not to sound weird but urwife has such a glow to her
you are a lucky man
Lord knows I just want a good Zombie archetype. Please Konami it’s all I ask. In other news there is a new zombie extender Duelist Nexus, it’s decent! Also...no Uni-Zombie and Mezuki is really messing with my brain
Bruh gotta piano he a real Rothschild.
Please convey my appreciation to jillian for her acting. 10/10
i don't really see why we would even play the fusion part of punk. does it help you play around some kind of handtraps or what is the idea behind it?
Goddamn, my brew of the deck is different than yours and it uses assault synchron and ready or instant fusion to pay life points. Zombie vampire is crucial to this deck because it’s really nice to mill multiple zombie’s especially ghost wyvern which is a ghost fusion and doomking aswell. The end board usually consists of sucker, Baronne, draco berserker and doomking.
Hey man, could you drop a list?
Intro is just "Ah s#&t! I forgot to give it a brain."
I really want the format where og zombie punk was good to be played
This deck would be insane if we still had Chaos Ruler smh
