Thanks for the super-helpful video. However it seems you're doing it the long way round. You don't actually need to remove the front tyre to install the front mudguard. You can simply slide it in between the tyre and calliper. You do need to unscrew the left side of the tyre but no need to actually remove the wheel. Did it on mine in a matter of 10 minutes. Thanks for helpful tips anyway.
Thanks for the video - super helpful! FYI there appears to be a slight difference between the mudguard you're installing in the video and the ones Brompton is currently selling (SKU 9030002). The metal bracket on top of the mudguard is reversed, so it needs to be installed on the *front* of the fork, in front of the reflector bracket.
Thanks for the video! Made it so clear. The Brompton instructions that come with the parts are terrible. You need a microscope to read them and in figure MG1 it shows the front stay being fitted the WRONG way round.
Just to add... I fitted the front mudguard today to my B75. Removal of the front wheel isn't necessary if you're fitting new guard/stays to a bike that had none. But I understand why you did that as you were wanting a different tyre for winter.
This was the video I used! Not the one on Brompton's channel. Everything was so zoomed in on theirs I had no idea if I was doing it backwards. And then they turned the bicycle upside-down... yeah, no thank you.
As an owner of a 2019, - sold Lightweight (Flamepainted yellow, black version), I want to change the clamps holding my - titanium struts on my mudguards into - lighter carbon ones, so I intend to remove my wheels before doing it (I had my wheels removed at one time, when adding a double easy wheel to my bikes mudguard, and I then found out that the metal plates holding the mudguard were actually rather "heavy";-)! So I ordered a new set from carbon, with new black bolts). Also the original bolts and parts on my brakes, if they aren't already, into a titanium set? And the front axle, also into titanium. Even the bolts holding my brakes on the handlebar have been changed into golden titanium ones, as the one on my stem.
The bracket for the reflector holder is not installed correctly. The reflector bracket sits INSIDE the bracket. It was ok before you loosen the bolt to install the mudguard but the bracket got rotated 180degree after u loosen.
Would be better without the music. A common problem on RUclips videos. "Oh look how easy it is to add music! Let’s do it." Try it without music or at least make it much quieter than the speech. Thank you. These are very good videos otherwise.
Thank you for making this video. I found it quite tricky to do, but don’t think I would have managed it without your help!
Thank you for watching
We are really glad it was of some help

Your videos are so easy to understand and follow. So nice to have such a Beautiful woman to illustrate and also have a good sense of humor. Thanks.

How do you have tick when you only have 6 subscribers? This has confused me.

Hi would be great if you could show us how to install the rear rack when you have one on the electric bromton
Many thanks for the suggestion, it’s firmly on the list 😊, and thank you for watching

Many thanks for watching, sounds like you have made it very lightweight
Is there any other way to remove the existing screw besides drilling?
Not that we have found if it was riveted in. The newer ones have screws!
I am such a rebel, I left the cable fender on!
Lol! Thanks for watching and for your comment!
Why take the mud guards off for the summer? Do they increase drag or something
Many thanks for the comment, we were preparing for the BWC so wanted the bike a bit lighter
@@brilliantbikes ahh ok that makes sense. Thanks. 🙂
Is there any cheaper alternative to Brompton mudguards please

My wife caught me watching this video for the second time, complaining it's not the bike that I'm looking at.
Creep.
Reminded of 'Sting'. Roxanne you don't have to put on the red dress... haha
Hi. You are using just one washer on the side of the fork, but Brompton recommends to use 2 washer (outside and inside, fig MG1, Brompton guide).
