Oh, more Porridge would be awesome! Great show!
"Sorry, I've Got No Head" was one of my favourites as a kid.
The theme tune of Button Moon was composed by Dr Who Peter Davison and then wife Sandra Dickinson.
And the transmission date of the first-ever episode (according to one of Taffe's earlier reactions to the show) was 8th December 1980 - the same day that John Lennon was shot!
Can't wait to see the Horrid Henry Reaction with the original theme
Hi Noah, please consider reacting to the `90`s family sitcom, (2Point4 Children) at some point. i think, you would enjoy it. All the actors/actresses are very good & so are the storylines.
Untrue that only specialist skilled police have guns in the UK. They’re almost all carrying in Northern Ireland.
It always a great day when you upload mate. 👍
0:32 Wait, what? Who thought that was a window? There's clearly a light there. I'd have thought it was more obvious the window was on the other side when it's dark outside. Is it just me being around 6 years? I've just remembered Kitty... 😢
1:03 Really excited for the new Wallace and Gromit, the first full length production since the TV series, World of Invention. Also the first feature with Ben Whitehead as Wallace, over a decade after he took on the role for adverts, specials and video games. He's earned his chance.
1:39 I had assumed that, because Series 5's production style really grated on you compared to Series 4. Bxkid didn't mind it, but he stopped before Heat A of Series 5, because he'd done the show for a solid year up to that point and was burned out. Which was a shame because he went out with a whimper, on the final episode of Extreme Series 1, the Forces Special, which some Robot Wars fans say is the worst episode ever. The reboot might be worth a try, just because of its different approach.
3:48 The later series also added new characters and expanded the universe and lore, which kind of took the fun out of it for me, like it was trying to be D&D on TV. I didn't like the new villains in that same vein, they were generally trying too hard, so I eventually lost interest.
4:10 The Crystal Maze did books too. I only got one of them, where Richard O'Brien has gone missing, and a couple of kids go travelling across multiple zones to find him. My favourite bits were the Where's Wally style big pictures where you had to find a crystal in them somwhere. I've been collecting other old game show books this year, Blockbusters and Fifteen to One.
6:41 The exception is of course in Northern Ireland, because... Yeah. It's jarring for people when they come over from Britain or even from over the border and see officers with guns. There's a village that's one half in NI and half in the Republic, and Mum was asked by an acquaintance at an event "Why do those Guards have a different uniform and guns?" Answer: "Those guards aren't Guards, they're PSNI!" 😅
8:56 People like Alien Fun Capsule, but then I like TV Burp. But which is better? TV Burp. 😋
The missing Dad’s Army episodes were recreated a couple of years ago with a new cast.
there's a Scottish series named 2' doors down' , it has just finished its final season it got canceled but had a good long run, they are speaking of a Christmas special this year and perhaps a hydro show so they can use all the stuff they had written for the said canceled season it is quite funny
i know the creator died bless him. they done a whole season after his death, but i imagine that played a massive part in it, i was just relaying the info from the Scottish sun newspaper and a facebook post with a fan and elaine c smith who told the fan about the possible charismas finale and the possible hydro show, not just making it up lol. things ive looked into
jamie quin , aka ian aka fergie from still game plays a wonderful part on the show
i am not going mad someone deleted a comment just fyi that's what i was responding to
Shite.
No the corridor of blades comes in a later series. It looks like a really long conveyor belt, saw blades then come down the walls and teams have to shift extremely fast to either left or right wall.
As for the precise movements. You get floor puzzles on hexagons that fall away to stop lingering and in the final couple of series you get wall puzzles where you have to press cards on a wall to get the platform to come out. Very small ledges and teams had to jump or large step between them.
Joe Gilgun (from Brassic) shows up as part of the main cast in Misfits.
Could that make it worth returning to?
oh damn!! welcome back i also forgot about comments
07:40 There's also remakes with a whole new cast, or 'animated' adaptations that use the audio from the originals.
How about... Death in Paradise?
Man, that's a shame about people ruining Misfits. I hope you bought down the ban hammer on them 👨🏻⚖️
1:40 This is a blow. But I'm very glad Dad's Army remains in your plans. It would also be great if you did more Crystal Maze one day, but I know a show of 83 hour-long episodes is somewhat impractical.
You should react to Scraphead Challenge.
I also find Gervais insufferable. Someone had the perfect analogy and said he comes off as that kid who was held back two years at school but still thinks he knows more than everyone else about every subject.
Of course, it's completely up to you, but it's a great shame you've gone off Robot Wars. You always seemed to get so much into it, and there are some great moments in series 5 I was looking for to seeing your reaction to.
BX Kid7 has reacted to the radio Dad's Army episodes so you should be OK.
few recommendations for you Dad's Army, Steptoe And Son, On The Buses, Carry On,
It’s a shame you find Ricky Gervais insufferable because The office is one of the only classics you haven’t done at this point 😂
