His first smile is when she runs down the stairs to him, he actually hugged her back whereas he didn't really with his mother, he answers her question about the island instead of being offended, he made sure his mom knew Thea didn't spill the secret of Walter, he and Thea remembered and used the nicknames, and he is determined to protect her.

Watching this again, I just noticed that when the camera moves back after the 'sleep with my mother' line, it is pretty clear that those two are together in some fashion given how far literally everyone else is sitting from them.
season 1-3 were the best, before the major crossovers. Before flash actually. IMO one of the best crossover scenes is the one from the flash's first episode when he runs to star city to talk to oliver on what it takes to be a hero. how oliver said that barry could be something that he never could. lol little did oliver know he became one of the greatest heroes, more than barry. thats why i love arrow. because oliver used to straight up kill people but now hes a reformed hero.
