I hate to tell you this but this is what we call good sleeping weather. After 24 years as a Merchant Marine I call the worst weather on this video rock-a-bye time. I've seen much much worse. Try cruzing through a few hurricanes.
this was fun -but the ship you mentioned as the vessel searching for MH370 is not .Its the Aurora Australis punching through the southern ocean heading towards Antarctica
Many scientists were need to make ocean surface waves to control smooth.Because every person of sailors may passed of ocean surface rough.Other way of the ocean watching weather checker must need to complement message to sent to the every saling person for non dangerous.
Both the Pacific and Atlantic have the potential to toss you around like a rag doll. If you want calm waters, try one of the many gulfs in warmer waters. Usually unless there's a storm around that has been forecasted, you'll see nothing like this. I've been on several cruises in the Gulf of Mexico and while we've hit some rough weather once or twice, it was nothing like shown here because that doesn't tend to happen except in an actual hurricane, which you'll know about well in advance and can avoid. The worst that has happened was on our last cruise, we hit a rough patch that wasn't too bad except for one big wave- that of course had to happen while I was in the shower. Luckily the bathroom is very small so even though I hit the door and fell out, I didn't go far. But for most of it, the ship is so large and so well stabilized, you don't even feel anything.

Never been on an ocean cruise, after watching this, no plans on taking one in the next couple hundred years either.
