      The more I watch his interviews the more I respect him. Such a kind hearted and down to earth person, so was his father Dr. Rajkumar sir. Gone to soon, I am sure he is an inspiration for many people. Rest in Peace legend, Om Shanti.

    I had a privilege of meeting him and Shivanna in 1982 In Chennai, 2010 in CCD Sadashivnagar, and again during the shooting of Appu Dance (Rajakumara Film ) in his vanity car and ate Avlakki uppitu with him.. such a wonderful person! god bless him!.

    Rajkumar was the first actor in India whose movies were remade more than 50 times. His 31 movies have been remade 53 times in 7 languages. Following are the movies of Dr. Rajkumar which were remade in other languages:
    Bedara Kannappa (1954): Rajkumar himself starred in the Telugu version titled Kaalahasti Mahatyam (1954) in his only non-Kannada appearance. It was remade in Hindi in 1955 as Shiv Bhakta starring Shahu Modak. The movie was also remade in Telugu in 1976 as Bhakta Kannappa starring Krishnam Raju.

    Beedi Basavanna (1967): It was remade in Tamil in 1970 as Thedi Vandha Mapillai starring MGR with minor changes.
    Gange Gowri ( 1967): It was remade in Tamil in 1973 as Ganga Gowri starring Gemini Ganesan.
    Chakratheertha (1967): It was remade in Telugu in 1968 as Chuttarikaalu starring Sobhan Babu.
    Gandondu Hennaru (1969): It was remade in Tamil in 1972 as Raman Thediya Seethai starring MGR
    Baalu Belagithu (1970): It was remade in Telugu in 1973 as Manchivadu starring ANR, in Hindi in 1974 as Humshakal starring Rajesh Khanna and in Tamil in 1976 as Oorukku Uzhaippavan starring MGR.
    Bhale Jodi (1970): It was remade in Telugu in 1972 as Bullema Bullodu starring Chalam and in Hindi in 1973 as Jaise Ko Taisa starring Jeetendra.
    Kulagourava (1971): It was remade in Telugu in 1972 as Kulagowravam starring NTR and in Tamil in 1974 as Kulagowravam starring Muthuraman.
    Kasturi Nivasa (1971): It was remade in Hindi in 1974 as Shandaar starring Sanjeev Kumar and in Tamil in 1975 as Avandhan Manithan starring Shivaji Ganeshan.
    Kaasidre Kailasa (1971): It was remade in Hindi in 1976 as Sabse Bada Rupaiya starring Vinod Mehra.
    Bangaarada Manushya (1972): It was remade in Telugu in 1975 as Devudulanti Manishi starring Krishna.
    Gandhada Gudi (1973): It was remade in Hindi in 1979 as Kartavya starring Dharmendra.
    Bhakta Kumbara ( 1974): It was remade in Telugu in 1977 as Chakradhari starring ANR.
    Bangaarada Panjara (1974): It was an inspiration for the 2000 Hindi movie Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai starring Govinda.

    Sampattige Savaal (1974): It was remade in Telugu in 1975 as Thota Ramudu starting Chalam, in Tamil in 1975 as Puthu Vellam starring Sivakumar and in Malayalam in 1976 as Themmadi Velappan starring Prem Nazir.

    Bhaagyada Lakshmi Baaramma (1986): It was remade in Telugu in 1988 as Maharajasri Mayagadu starring Krishna with minor changes.
    Guri (1986): It was remade in Tamil in 1991 as Adhikari starring Arun Pandian
    His 31 movies have been remade in 7 languages 53 times - 13 times in Hindi, 14 times in Tamil, 20 times in Telugu , thrice in Malayalam , once in Bengali , once in Odia and once in Bangladeshi Bengali.
    Out of the 31 movies, 13 of them have been remade in more than one language.
    His 31 movies have been remade by 30 actors- 10 in Hindi, 7 in Tamil, 8 in Telugu, 2 in Malayalam , 1 in Bengali , 1 in Odia and 1 in Bangladeshi Bengali.
    His movie Anuraga Aralithu (1986) was the first Indian movie to be remade in six other languages.

    Man- I've been away from home for a while and Kannada films have been a touch and go. He was a light for the film industry and the movies churning out under his production umbrella have been brilliant and shows a selfless man. Rest in peace brother! This has shaken me to the core!

    I've met Shivanna, during Kavacha trailer release.
    Even during that peak stress time, he came down to meet and spent few mins with the cooks and cleaners, posing for photos with them, though he knew those photos with them will never get to Facebook or Twitter's of world.

      He grew up watching a lot of English cinema. He also mentions Japanese, Spanish and Korean movies that he would have seen with Sub-titles. Being constantly exposed a language through your childhood will help you in picking up the language quickly.

      You are absolutely spot on. I am sure you would love south Indian movies, there are some real gems in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam film industry. A lot of the movie stars are very humble, super talented, simple and grounded in comparison to bollywood stars who do act like their poop doesn't stink.

    I am blessed to born in Karnataka. I witnessed Rajkumar sir and Punith Sir both were truly amazing stars and they are very much attached to the ground. I still believe Punith Sir is beyond a ⭐⭐.He is such a humble and great human being we cant find such person in future.😭😭

    I met Dr.Rajkumar at Sampangi Rama Temple in Vasanthnagar he wished me and I did PRANAM Namasthe. I was very happy met him REAL good human great actor. I got drunk one night went to Navrang theatre to see Bahadhur Gandu. 9.30 night show , my drink evaparared and enjoyed the movie so much. Puneeth I met him in kateerava stadium in one evant. He is also like his father good human. RIP.

      Rex in Brigade and Plaza in MG road were very famous, we would visit these theater's whenever we bunked school 😂😂😂😂.
      Both straceyes and josephites would remove our ties and watch movies there, thinking that our teachers won't recognize us. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
