- Closing a Machine Knit Beanie so that the beanie is reversible.
I have a post with a free pattern for this beanie on my blog if you want to check it out.

One thing I do notice that makes closing machine knit beanies a bit easier is using a lining yarn that is slightly thinner than the outer yarn. I makes for a really nice cinched top.
Check out my post if you want to make one of these beanies.

Perfectly perfect. Attention to detail provides an outstanding product one should be proud to offer.
Thank you! I am so glad you like how I close a machine knit beanie and found my video helpful.
This is probably the best way for reversible hats. I have an order from a guy that wants no pom obviously and I need a good closure. Thanks for the video!!
I am so glad you found the video helpful 😊
good idea. much more secure than just tying the two yarns together.
Thank you!
Thank you! I’ve been trying the method where you alternate picking up stitches of the two layers, but I always end up with extra yarn sticking out of places. I also don’t like when you just knit the two layers together, it feels cheap
I pretty much do this for all of mine and it has worked out really well. I haven't tried the picking up alternate stitches, it seems like that would make it difficult to really cinch closed.
👍👍👍💯💯👏
Awesome! Can I ask what yarn you used? Looked soft.
I have the pattern for this on my blog, the yarn used is also linked in the post. You can find the link in the video description.
So you take it through the outside and the inside twice? Then knot and bury the thread?
Pretty much, I use each of the yarn tails and go through both the outside and the inside, then tie a few knots, cut leaving a longish tail and then hide the yarn tails.
