Thanks you for making the last bit clear, because most people don't understand the journey. You made it look easy. but it's somewhat of a Holy grail. it takes tons of time and effort to be able to do this.
this is similar to 'shuttle dips'; except this is not done on parallel bars. calisthenic enthusiasts should know this move. still a good progression before going into the muscle up. :)
The one thing I miss about Crossfit is the muscle endurance and great cardio workout. The bad thing about bodybuilding is I get more injures and problems from workin out but I have a more complete physique. Overall Crossfit is more beneficial
This is a fuckin shame really. What is a complete physique anyways? Strong? no. You look at strongman competition, xfitters will not look like that. Agile? NO too. martial arts fighters & dancers, they don't look like crosfitters (but that is as close of a physique type as it gets.) Endurance? Looking like any marathon athletes? No to that too. So, I call you bullshit with "more complete physique." Plus how are you getting more injuries in working out bodybuilding training style? That is fuckin bullshit and you know it too. Xfit and its complex movements will probably give you more injuries if anything. I don't even hate on xfit, but the fact that idiots like you spew bullshit thinking that it's ok is doing a everyone a disservice. Bodybuilding has been one of the MOST beneficial thing for years. It helps people feel good, confident. It helped porn industry. It helped people GOING INTO CROSSFIT - cause, the entry point to fitness is the look, the society expectation of one's vanity worthiness. If it wasn't for bodybuilding and physique athletes modeling magazine covers, healthy food packagings/promos/ads and clothing, crossfit will not thrive.
Are you kidding me? There are more injuries in Crosshit than in Bodybuilding. Because all those jerks want to lift heavy and are incapable of doing so, not even paying attention to the correct form.
Hm, I am always a bit sceptic with these kinds of jerking movements. I can clearly see that this can help with the muscle up, but I would refrain from putting this in a regular training routine. The sudden stress on a sensitive area like the shoulders should make you highly aware of any kind of pain, though impingements and its symptomes come to your attention after years, when you are already wreaked havoc on the shoulders and cant take it back :(
Well, with all the others ones it was after olympic weightlifting where eastern european countries were always the ones with the best training methodology, so the good stuff got popular with that.
I know that the Bulgarians named the first one. The second one I'm pretty sure was a name given by the Romanians. And I'm really not positive but I've been told the Russians were responsible for naming the 3rd one
Nicu Vlad, a phenomenal weightlifter from Romania, visited the U.S. Olympic training centre in 1990 and was seen doing the exercise we call romanian deadlifts, which is how it got it's name. Bulgarian split squats I have no idea.
I dont understand. Every video on muscle ups tells you to situp as hard as u can and "throw your ponytail" through. Here sahe says dont do that and stay upright. Which is it?
Standard Crossfit super "Efficient" muscle up typically used for the games, is the one you sit up as hard and as fast as you can. The gymnastic strict ring muscle up is the one you want your torso to stay upright. The chances of injuring your shoulder with a gymnastic strict ring muscle up substantially less than the standard crossfit muscle up.
Man this move has been out for years, please crossfit don't take all the credit for this one as though something you came up with I have seen this move done on RUclips videos by guys who work out at the park using dip bars, anyone heard of Hannibal for king, barbarians, Frank medrano, bartendaz, bar stars and bar masters, crossfit should work with these guys,
Pretty sure if they were trying to take credit for it, it would not be called "The Russian Dip." I doubt crossfit claims any movement for that matter. Some bad crossfit coaches on the other hand....
those are not russian dips, those are armpit dips, russian dips are when you lower down onto your elbows and forearms and ascend into straight arms, I wish these crossfit coaches would just look up these moves before actually teaching them
Wanna know why the Asians and Europeans destroy Americans in weightlifting? Variation. Americans use 6 different variations of front squats. Chinese use 42.
anything can cause pain if your body is not prepared through the proper progressions. Otherwise it's simply an advanced move that can aid in human movement and fitness. calisthenic guys have been doing this move for years and years.
Her form is a little off.... you're supposed to transition into the forearm hold from bottom dip position, not fall straight into it No wonder so many crossfitters fuck their bodies up
She would smash her elbows to pieces if she did this on bars. Jerky movements will destroy rotator cuffs coming up loaded from a dip. The lowering should be slow and controlled and that requires a lot of wrist and forearm strength, the transition should be gradual to the dip using the legs to provide slight momentum pushing the body forward.
Why does she alwalys loook so annoyed in these turtorials?? Haha, and She´s like always saying "Dave....." and rolls with her eyes when he speaks and tries to be funny. And the other turtorials she made (the handstand ones) she looked grumpy and like that was no fun. Also heard rumors that she is kind of arrogant....maybe because she is very competative or something I don´t know.? :)
Your body can adapt to amazing things. If the general public watched bar stars street workout calisthenics workout or elite olympic weightlifting they would lose their minds from how "unsafe" and "bad on the joints" it is. When if you progress and prepare properly, a lot can be achieved safely. To be great you test the limits of the human body.
we need a Camille series!!!!!!!
Yay! Kudos and bonus points for allowing auto-captions! Great job! Now 40 million more people can access this instruction!
Thanks you for making the last bit clear, because most people don't understand the journey. You made it look easy. but it's somewhat of a Holy grail. it takes tons of time and effort to be able to do this.
Liked the video before watching it. The Camille effect.
thank you.
Camille you are one heck of a Coach.
Camille is the most beautiful athlete in world
She really is quit amazing on so many levels! Respect!!
That is not a Russian dip,not even close.
lookin' pretty kippy
She looks nice thanks for the training vid/tip ;))
this is similar to 'shuttle dips'; except this is not done on parallel bars. calisthenic enthusiasts should know this move. still a good progression before going into the muscle up. :)
That looks super hard! If I keep at it might just get there.
I love those, just started doing yhem 2 days ago, 4 sets of 12 are AMAZING
The one thing I miss about Crossfit is the muscle endurance and great cardio workout. The bad thing about bodybuilding is I get more injures and problems from workin out but I have a more complete physique. Overall Crossfit is more beneficial

She does it the way she tells you not to. The way she tells you to is impossible really
Man its my 1st time seeing this I love it wow not sure if I'm strong a nuff yet but I will thow thanks again
Those quads doe...
Thank you

That's because it shouldn't be a jerking motion. The ascent should be explosive but the descent should be controlled.
She is a great Canadian lol and her English is getting better ahah
I want to know who names all these exercises. Bulgarian squat, romanian deadlift, russian Dip. Seems its usually .
Well, with all the others ones it was after olympic weightlifting where eastern european countries were always the ones with the best training methodology, so the good stuff got popular with that.
I know that the Bulgarians named the first one. The second one I'm pretty sure was a name given by the Romanians. And I'm really not positive but I've been told the Russians were responsible for naming the 3rd one
because all the hard things are named russian
Because my neighbour down here in Tallahasse Florida name is Kipping Smith. And he is as all American as it gets. BOO YAH! :D
Nicu Vlad, a phenomenal weightlifter from Romania, visited the U.S. Olympic training centre in 1990 and was seen doing the exercise we call romanian deadlifts, which is how it got it's name. Bulgarian split squats I have no idea.
Don't think anyone cares about what kind of dip she is doing
gawd that pretty face.
Too bad she didn't say 'akalete' (athlete) this time, hahhaah. Love you Camille

The first rule of CrossFit- "Talk about CrossFit"!!! LOL.
coreyologist wtf. it says russian dip, NOT crossfit dip lol
thay are only talking about that its a good exercise on the road to the MU
Tennessean damn sounds like you found crossfit in bed with you're old lady
This is a gymnastics strength training drill. They did it before frank medrano and the others.
how to get rid stretch mark?
Beautiful strong girl...
Forearm start position, no?
kipping... isn't it counterproductive to the exercise goal and muscles that are supposedto be used?
Lolol that made no sense. But what can you expect from crossfit?
Great!
those are not russian dips, those are armpit dips, russian dips are when you lower down onto your elbows and forearms and ascend into straight arms, I wish these crossfit coaches would just look up these moves before actually teaching them
+Beast bulk This is what gymnastics call a russion dip or upper arm dip.
You lower onto your inner biceps, not forearms.
Damn Camille looks and is strong!
Oo dios mio te amo!!
Why is Camille so perfect?
Wanna know why the Asians and Europeans destroy Americans in weightlifting? Variation. Americans use 6 different variations of front squats. Chinese use 42.
She is perfect lady
omg her legs
why you rubbing your shoulder you must have hurt it doing oddball thing with bench
looks like this can cause shoulder pain if done too much..
anything can cause pain if your body is not prepared through the proper progressions. Otherwise it's simply an advanced move that can aid in human movement and fitness. calisthenic guys have been doing this move for years and years.

Camille... Should you not just drop? You should negative down? Like with Russian push ups you shouldn't just drop?
Hey man, this is cross-fit, form and correct technique don't apply! It's all about speeeeeeeed... how fast you can injure yourself :P
Odysseús I know just trying to help people not loose feeling in their limbs
Not russian dips.
Talk about the diet you guys take. And what can you recomend for a dude who is 5'5 and 165 pounds?
So they just take something from Calistenics add some kippingto make it easier and volià
12/10 defwud
So where are the Russian dips?
Damn she is strong...very hot.
I'm so in love with her. Too bad she's married 😔
You and everybody else bro
joshholtmustang
anyone that detail oriented about movements concerns me. "DAVE!,,, I SAID TO THE LEFT,,, LEFT!" is what I keep envisioning. lol
Very difficult to perform

The lowering should be slow and controlled and that requires a lot of wrist and forearm strength, the transition should be gradual to the dip using the legs to provide slight momentum pushing the body forward.
Except that this is to improve the turnover for rings mostly
Great point!
sure ill injure myself trying that and dang shes fit
Calistenia 🥵👌
what happens with her voice at 1:39?
vocal fry
will you marry me!
princejermainejj You might want to ask her husband, Dave, in that video. :)
When men have to learn so simple move XD
When you jump you lose the benefits of the exercise.
likeeee!!! :D
that dude should cut off his ponytail
Wonder if she's married or not?
yes, to the athlete she's coaching here actually
+Windlord how u know?
Kevin Martin I've been in the CF game for a while + I've met her husband :)
Why does she alwalys loook so annoyed in these turtorials?? Haha, and She´s like always saying "Dave....." and rolls with her eyes when he speaks and tries to be funny. I spy surgery
😧💪
how the hell these crossfitters not have joint pains?
they will get them in good time. A lot of these elite crossfitters have only been at it a few years.

Crapfit, steroids
