The bright blue looks gorgeous in the cables. Great choice! Also love how you edited this video to show us the process and decisions you made along the way.
I always enjoy your knits/podcast but I really enjoyed watching you step out of your comfort zone. This color is beautiful with your hair and complexion
It's beautiful and I love the color! If you ever have to pick up with a small needle and switch to a larger one again, you can just change your right hand needle and keep the small one on the left, should make it easier to work those stitches! 💜💜
You’re the best! Your channel happened to show up in my feed this evening. What a treat to scroll back through your videos and start watching your channel with this episode. The striking color of this stunning sweater caught my eye. You are articulate, funny and knowledgeable . I’m looking forward to seeing your other episodes as my knitting time allows.
I’m SO glad that RUclips recommended your podcast to me! Sometimes they DO know me! I loved, loved, loved how you presented this cardigan project. It was so much fun to watch you open your yarn package and then go along with you for the ride to the finish. I’ve never seen anyone do this. Excellent idea! The color of the sweater is SO good - suits you to a tee. It’s a gorgeous finished project and you should be SO SO proud of this knit. I appreciate your honesty on what you like and don’t like - and why 👏 I look forward to following your knitting journey.
@Kim_Karr thank you so much! There are several youtubers I enjoy watching who have similar style videos. To The Knit Point and Mel Makes Stuff are a couple channels that come to mind. This is my favorite type of knitting videos to watch, so I really appreciate your kind feedback!
Ah Kendra it’s so gorgeous! This is on my list too and seeing your vlog is really making me want to cast this on. So happy you picked that bright blue cause it’s completely unique. I bet you’re going to get so many strangers out in the real world asking you where they can buy this. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
When I pick up the stitches with a smaller needle size, I will leave them on that needle, and then knit from the smaller needle onto the larger needle. So you have the smaller needle in your left hand and the larger needle in your right hand. This is a beautiful sweater! The color is amazing!! I loved seeing you go through the whole process.
I was so happy to see this in my subscriptions today! I’m starting mine next week. This color looks *beyond* amazing on you. Like, this is your color!! Love love love. Thanks for the video!
Really love how the color makes the stitches and cables stand out. You knit a beautiful cardigan and it looks fabulous on you! Thank you for your thoughtful description :)
Thanks for your video! I am knitting this at the moment and found this video very helpful. In case anyone else had this issue: I got holes when picking up shoulder stitches using the standard "v" method, so instead I picked up and knit directly through the front side of the stitches. This made the chart pattern more continuous than what I tried before.
I love your videos in general but I especially loved this one! It's great to be with you from opening the yarn package to completion and to hear about your experience throughout. The color of the yarn is such a beautiful choice and you look wonderful wearing it!
Thank you so much for your video! Your cardigan is beautiful and the information you shared is helpful as I am planning my own Book Club cardigan in Cascade 220 too!
Sounds like a labor of love but definitely worth it as you're absolutely glowing about it. The color looks great on you. I think you made a great choice.
I say you are BRAVE both for selecting this pattern (I’m a newbie 😊) and for the mid project blocking because that scares me (the thought of dropping stitches, but this is STUNNING!!! You are so very talented and I’m glad I found your channel!
This was so entertaining and informative to watch! Thank you for sharing your journey. I have this cardigan on my list to knit. I want to knit a cable cardigan but hate picking up the button band. If I do end up doing this pattern, I will definitely watch this again.
I love the colour you picked out! So Gorgeous!!! Thank you for giving so much detail on your process. I'm about to start my own book club cardigan and I'm literally taking notes from this. :)
Your cardigan is beautiful! Currently knitting my book club cardigan in 220 (I think in the shade you swatched in? Vinci?!) Good to know about the yardage as I'm too knitting size 4 and only purchased 6 skeins...at least now I'm prepared to buy another 😅
Am I still salty that you finished before me even though I have no reason to be since I cast on about five billion projects at once? Yes. Did this project recap make up for it. Also, yes! Can’t wait for you to experience all the compliments this fall because the cardigan is STUNNING!!! 😍
First of all, I really enjoy your channel! Secondly, you are an AMAZING knitter! I have been in awe of your projects. As someone who is very new to knitting (almost 1 year), I aspire :) I had a quick question: when you block in the middle of the project, how does that affect when you continue knitting? Does that help in anyway regarding sizing? When you go to block the finished project, do you only block the new knitting? Or block the whole thing, re-blocking the previous area? Hopefully that all makes sense. Basically wondering if blocking mid-project messes up with the hoped-for size at the end and further knitting. Thank you!
@charlseygibson1537 thank you so much! The mid project block just helps me understand how the final piece will fit. It doesnt affect the rest of the knitting. I blocked the entire cardigan at the end.
Hi! Random question. I just got into knitting and you're the first knitting influencer I saw with locs. I have locs too and was wondering if you had any advice about what type of yarn to get to make knitted garments that won't get cause lint buildup in locs.
@whittneywiley7872 hello! I've never experienced any lint problems (ywt), so I don't have any specific yarn recommendations. I tend to stay away from yarns that I think would pill easily which I think helps
The colour is amazing! It’s your new neutral 😊
Beautiful cardigan! The color is gorgeous and you look gorgeous wearing it!
I love this blue colour! 🥰
The color looks great! Your finished project is so crisp!

Such incredibly useful information about this project! Beautiful FO!
That around-the-neck light is a genius idea. I'm so glad I found your video because I thought I was doing something wrong at first.
That blue is so stunning on you!
Beautiful sweater!!! You look gorgeous in that color!! But I think you’d look fabulous in ALL the bold colors, so there’s that. 😊
@angieanderson6082 aww thank you so much!
Beautiful and gorgeous color!
Great stitch definition with Cascade 220!
