    You are truly a gift from God!!! I have been learning illustrator,photoshop for the past few months and sometimes i find myself stuck on choosing colors alot.. I would have never thought about this way...Your way of teaching is grade A...I trust everything you say!!! Can you do a video on tshirt design & how to save files for dtg printers..I also would like to start a shop on etsy for prints but im confused because some shop owners listings say this ( You will recieve files in formats to fit picture frames..Do i need to make a file for each picture frame? 8x10, 12x12,etc..Isn't there a way to make one file to fit small frames and make another file that would fit most big picture frame sizes?

    Great tutorial! I'd love to see one with steps on how to best set up a file & save a file for print, as I'm having some issues with some of my projects being pixelated when printed at my local print shop. I'm creating as ai, then saving an additional file as eps with outlines which I flatten. I save as pdf. Not sure where I am going wrong & am coming up empty handed when looking for tutorials on how to do this [btw, I'm designing greeting cards & prints].

      Hey Anita, thanks for the feedback! If all of your files are vector based - meaning you aren't using any photography, there shouldn't be any issue with the printer since ai, eps + pdfs are all vector based when no photography or pixel-based elements are used. If you are using photography, make sure it's high enough res - you can check this in photoshop from your menu by going image > image size. For optimal print quality, photos should be 300dpi at the size they're being used. You might be able to get away with going as low as 150dpi, but I would never go lower. You can also save a pdf directly off of your ai (no need for the eps step) - I'm assuming the printer requests a pdf to print from? I have a few tutorials that go over setting up a file for print, but obviously a printer may request a file type they're more comfortable working from. Here those are: ruclips.net/video/qvzJV5NlZRs/видео.html, ruclips.net/video/odv18hfFrLU/видео.html, + ruclips.net/video/kVd7Nyhz2FI/видео.html I hope this helps!

      Thanks so much!
      I'm working with Illustrator & Illustrator only. I know some people create in Illustrator & then transfer over to Photoshop. Are there any merits to this? I read this article, www.graphic-design-employment.com/adobe-illustrator-how-to.html & that's what led me to start saving an ai as well as an eps. My printer, in my very small town, only takes PDF's & everything is digitally printed in CMYK. Maybe I'm doing something wrong within my PDF settings. I scan in & vectorize some illustrations & then use fonts. The pixel issues I'm having have been with fonts/text & it has been with some files while not others & yet I think I am doing the same things every time, so I'm perplexed. I will check out those tuts of yours, thanks for the links!

    Thats the way that you give the logo to you're client?I mean when you sent the file to them, sorry for my english..!

    • @EveryTuesday
      @EveryTuesday  9 лет назад +2

      Hey Rocio,
      Thanks for watching! Nope, this isn't the way I'd give the logo to a client - was just using it as an example with color :) But that's a great idea for my next tutorial! Keep an eye out next Tuesday on how to deliver logos to clients :)
