BG3 is one of the few games where I can put over 200 hours in and still find new stuff I never encountered before or get new ideas for builds and fun ways to play. It is a once in a generation type game that will, hopefully, inspire other developers to pour this much love, care and attention to detail into their projects.

That being said I want to support it , it's a big middle finger to live service trash and the publisher greed that's rampant today! It's also full of love heart and passion, it respects the audience. I also have Xbox series x. I've been waiting for that Xbox port. If it would have arrived sooner I would have owned it already
The comparison is important in terms of quality. An indi low budget title can have the same kind of high quality as a AAA. budget doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with that. Both can be high quality games look at games like Hades, Inscryption, Nobody Saves the World, Dave the diver, risk of rain two, BG3. it’s about the time and love and care put into giving you a high-quality game which you can get high-quality without a high budget

I’ll be passing 400 hours here shortly. It’s all I’ve been playing. Finished my first run at 130 hours on tactician. Currently in act 3 with my homie who is playing it for the first time. Having so much fun. I’ll play solo, or with friends. After this run, that friend and I will be starting Evil origin characters. I’ve got a solo play through running. Then once I’m sick of the custom characters, I’ll hit my favorite Origin characters (multiplayer to experience them all quicker). I’ve put in a few long sessions, but most of my
Time playing is an hour or 2 here or there.
I'm a huge dnd nerd so this is one of my favorite games of all time

Yes after playing trashfield and becoming the trashborn for 120 hour and my brain hurting because of the main story was so stupid
BG3 is like breath of fresh air even with 200 hours I’m still really happy with it currently starting up my dark urge playthrough that is going to fight his urge 😂

231.1 and I've finally finished the game and it turns out I managed to save all the Tiefling refugees. Fancy that.

glad this game came out. I needed a game to play after the starfield situation. Im playing DnD with my friends now because of BG3.

Over 1600 hours in and still seeing new dialog, new ways to do quests, new content. Just started using mods after completing Honor mode in multiplayer and it is so much fun. I recommend the randomizer mod tuned just right with Honor mode, near endless replayability.
Also, Lae'zel > Shart and it's not even close.
I agree with the last part
LaeZel is top tier companion. Her character growth so dramatic. Devora KILLED it.
I agree with pretty much your entire comment EXCEPT for the last bit about Lae'zel v Shadowheart.
While I do agree Lae'zel is a better companion, I don't think I can agree with the "and it's not even close" bit. I think their character arcs are meant to be evocative of very different journeys and Lae'zel's arc is, by virtue of re-contextualizing the entirety of the Githyanki struggle against the Mind Flayers, far more powerful than Shadowheart's(which I think is still very powerful considering what she went through and how Shar and Sharran worshipers indoctrinated and brainwashed her when she was a child).
In a lot of ways, Shadowheart and Lae'zel's arcs are a mirror to one another, showing that they are shockingly similar despite how much they want to kill each other.
Again, I think Bae'zel is a better written character, but I also literally have a dommy mommy kink so my biases are laid out plainly.
