Thank you for this! We are doing the Gentle + Classical Preschool this year, and I was curious about how the Nature programs would be. Your explanation was so helpful! ❤
I'm planning on picking up her Christmas unit for next year - we didn't do it this year because we had something else planned! Glad the video was helpful :)
Love all your informative videos and especially love the looks of this curriculum. Exactly what I’ve been looking for as I’ll be homeschooling for the first time in Hawaii! I’m curious, how do you print/bind your books when you get the pdf? The places I’ve looked so far all require a minimum amount of books to bind… thank you!!
Nature curriculum sounds like a great way to get outside and still be learning. Do you prefer the gentle and classical nature or the exploring nature with children curriculum?
I am loving your videos and the amount of information you provide. I'd love to see a day-in-the-life or routine video... I have two littles and struggle to keep the house clean let alone have time to plan the school week, or have any time for reading for myself. And I love books. How do you do it!?
Thank you, I'm glad the videos are so helpful! I'm thinking of doing a DITL or routine video ... haha, I just have to figure out how to do a vlog style video :) Since having the twins I have become a much more structured person - I have systems for everything - laundry, groceries, cleaning, homeschool prep, etc. I'm thinking of running a video series in the new year going more in detail ... that is if anyone would be interested!
I need help having a system. I’m currently doing this program along with level 1 preschool and I feel like my schedule is so unorganized and it can be so chaotic. It seems like I can hardly accomplish anything and I have a 4 yr old, 2 year old, and 10 month old. Please help! Please share your systems for everything 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you first of all. Do you use ON MISSION with this? I know Erin recommends that. I am considering that for geography/culture for my 3rd grader...4 year old will also be learning alongside.
Hi! We didn't do ON MISSION only because my kids are on the younger side and we were already juggling a fair amount ... BUT I have heard great things about it and the books look really pretty!
Thank you for your videos. I found you because I was considering exploring nature with children but am wondering if this may be better. My kids are 4 and 3 and we love to explore nature but I’d like a science curriculum that will give me a bit more guidance so our nature walks will be more intentional. Which would you suggest?
Oh man, both are such good programs! If you are looking for more guidance on nature days ... I would say the Gentle & Classical Nature is better. Although the program has more than just nature which could make it feel overwhelming! As for the age of your kiddos I would also steer you towards the G&C nature because it is a bit more gentle and more geared towards those ages! I’m trying the Nature Connection book this year ... with maybe a bit of ENWC 🤷🏼♀️. I love all things nature, good luck!
Did you utilize the journal with your kids? You mentioned they weren't fans of recording what they saw. Do you think the journal would be too much for a 4.5 and 3 year old?
LivingwithHope I printed the journal and it looked really nice but no they didn’t really use it 😕. I feel like they were a little too young at 5.5 and 4 - I think it was intimidating.
I think I did a curriculum called Bob Jones University in middle school. It was fine, but all the videos I had to watch were so outdated. Like, 90s perms and denim dresses outdated XD
Lesya Verbetsky They are such different programs! Both good in different ways. I’m actually planning a comparison video in early June ... stay tuned for that, I’m sure I will have a more articulate answer at that time 😀
You are the second person to mention this curriculum to me in the last week. I am definitely taking note!! Do you feel like this would cover all but math and reading for a 1st grader?
Leah Kuqo I personally would add more to it - but I’m not sure if you need to! It is a wonderful science/nature study, with wonderful book selections ... there is quite a bit covered!!
Jamie Nixon I would say it is pretty Christian - but maybe not as much as her other programs, such as the preschool levels 1 & 2. We have also used Exploring Nature with Children and I think it is neutral - but I’m not quite sure!
@@sciencemama Thanks! I was reading through the samples to see if I could make it work, but it's just hard to say! I'll check out Exploring Nature. Enjoying your videos!

We loved the Christmas unit! I am thinking on doing the Easter Unit this year. Thanks for your video.

Hi! I love the Homeschool Printing Company as well as Family Nest Printin!

@@sciencemama Definitely interested! I only have two kiddos but could use more structure, so seeing you do it is inspo gold.

Thank you for your videos. Your videos have helped a lot. I wanted to ask would you think this would be appropriate for a 5 year old?
I think it might be a bit much for a 5 year old ... but I know she has been redoing GC Nature!
Hi! Did you end up picking this program back up or has ENWC worked better for y’all? Trying to decide between the two!
ENWC works a bit better for us ... although right now we are just making up nature study as we go :)

I couldn't find the free PDFs for this book??
I think this was the old version, maybe she doesn't make the PDF available anymore??
Thanks for your review 💕 new subscriber 👍

lost in a booKCase Haha - I hope they have updated their videos by now!
Can you compare this to the exploring nature with children ?

Science Mama thanks :)
Hi! I can’t seem to find your review on exploring nature with children. Please help!
This seems like a whole week of curriculum! Like you would not do anything else because there won't be any time. Hehe.
Of Numbers and Stars Haha, yep - I definitely had to pick and choose because there is quite a bit here! That is the beauty of homeschooling!!

How religious would you say this program is? She says it is "unabashedly Christian" on her website. It looks beautiful, but we are secular! Thanks!
