메리싸 tutting isn’t necessarily something common you see often in kpop choreography, and red velvet never appeared to be the type to do intricate steps in their choreo either since it’s usually simplistic and fun, so i’d say it’s definitely impressive.
I love Seulgi’s voice as well. Her vibrato is so smooth and effortless sounding. She really should get more praise for her vocals she’s such a talent. And I love getting to hear Irene so much more than normal. This was just the best choice of subunits. Along with Chanyeol and Sehun.

We're getting two solo MV's one from Irene and one from Seulgi! So them walking away from each other could be them going to do their solos...and maybe when they come back together it will be with all of the Red Velvet members for a full comeback later in the year??
At the end, when they seperate from each other, it is because they will perform solos. Episode 1 is Naughty, Episode 2 is Seulgi's solo (Uncover) Episode 3 is Irene's solo.
The Theory is that they crossed paths from two different worlds (Day and Night) and created a duo, a harmony between two contrasting personas then at the end they go seperate ways implying that they will be coming back as Solo Entity hence the "Episode 1" in Naughty that could be presume that there will be another Episodes coming up. SM keeping us well fed!

also, when you think about it.. the colours of Irene are light, which represents her elegance, and for seulgi, she has black due to her sharpness in her dance style. I don't know if you said that already, but I find it a verifiable reason for the colour theory :)
