Absolutely adore this song - such great performances by Elvis and his voice really suits this up-tempo delight of a song - really wish he had recorded it when filming TTWII that would have been amazing - just love it, love it, love it 🧡💥💙💥💛

What is most regretted about TTWII is that in the 50th anniversary version, it includes a rendition of Runaway, in which, despite the fact that it has been a while since they played it, it sounds excellent when everything seems to be remembered.
Well, this is a labor of love. Seriously, if this is over forty- four minutes of live recordings of EP singing the same song at different dates/ times/ shows, then I don't want to even wander how long it took to put all of these recordings together. Pun intended ☺
I think Elvis was doing his best to sing with all his heart in each version, so this song in all version sounds great without much difference. And I am very happy to be able to listen to same song for a long time. I am always fascinated by Elvis songs. Leon!! I agree...Elvis is the one and only singer I would ever listen to the same song over and over to the end...I listened very close to my speakers to hear anything he had said after the song was over..I love just listening to his voice just as much as when he talks as when he is performing!!! You can hear hims say several times "play it Jim"..The one and only always and forever!!!
Runaway is one of my personal favourites of the early vegas era, each version is slightly different in a way, I absolutely love the feel of this song , I don’t think a studio version would do this justice. It’s fresh, exciting and as elvis did with many songs, he modernised it . especially with the fantastic inclusion of burtons solo
Elvis sang the song great every time, I can't say the same for the recordings, the Wow and flutter in the first ones was terrible. Still great to hear the King of rock letting it rip on a fast track.
Have you done "All Shook Up?" I couldn't find it. As you know, he sang it from his first shows back all the way through the 70's. Thanks for all your work Leon.
