Is there any doubt that not all people are afraid that if an individual begins valuing his/her own time more than he/she was valuing it earlier, that this will cause the value of the time of all other people to decrease (become worthless due to "inflation" of that value)?

You are, the only reason you live past 30 is medical advantage. 1880s families had as many kids as they could because 60 percent of children died, parents tried not to invest to many feelings until 6th birthdays, after that you kind of made it past the danger zone, Teddy Roosevelts age 4 photo is him in a dress, all boys wore dresses until age 6 then the parent had bloomer parties and started buying boys pants. Just 150 years ago the needle was invented, leeches we're still used, 400 years ago you had a demon living in one of your five humors so a blood letting was needed. When George Washington lived to his late 70s people thought it was a miracle, but he had the best of the best food and care. Average age of death in the 15,16,1700s was around 40

Thank you so much for your videos and the way you are spreading awareness. It is so valuable what you are doing. I don't know if you are open to another Q&A-video in the upcoming future, but the more videos I see, the more questions I have... I'm so hoping you might be able to (and be willing to, of course) answer a couple of these!
Like, is it really true that the literacy rate in North Korea is 100%? (as they claim) And, as you are now officially a South Korean and US citizen, can you travel freely to China or Russia without being deported back to North Korea? Was it difficult for you to get used to a capitalist society? What was it like to receive education in a western country? How long did it take you to fully understand and feel that the Kim family are not Gods, but dictators? Are there North Korean habits that you still have a hard time letting go of? Are there any parts of North Korea, of North Korean society, that you miss? When you first came to South Korea, there is a sort of obligatory 'training camp' for North Koreans to get used to the capitalist society, right? What was that like for you? What are North Koreans taught in school about other communist countries like China or Cuba? What would happen in North Korea if you are born into a very poor and not well respected family, but you turn out to be extrémely intelligent, or very gifted in sports or something? What happens in North Korea when someone suffers from a psychological condition? How does marriage happen in North Korea? Do people get matched or is there 'free choice' in any way? Is there ány way to ever visit family in other villages or cities? How do North Koreans view life after death? Is smoking or alcohol allowed? I know there is a sort of 'internet' available for the elite, with like 30+ websites or something. What is the purpose of that?
I'm so interested in how it all works over there... Anways, thank you so much for your videos, for spreading awareness, for fighting for human rights. Please keep at it :) And have a wonderful day.

I to was a tiny baby but by the grace of God was born where warmth, food, water were available. Doctors were also available. My grandparents had a very tiny baby, my grandfather and great grandfather built an incubator and it had oxygen going in to it. This was a long time ago. The baby only lived a month. My grandparents used to say they were blessed with the child because some places even healthy babies did not live as long as theirs did. Even 50 to 70 years ago when things were not as advanced as now We had things that people in Korea still can only hope and pray for. Thank you please keep up the good fight and education of us.

Thank you for sharing your story, your updates, and being a service to your people and people of communism. You have really inspired me so much to speak out more about this topic. I’m Kosovo Albanian born in America but my father and grandparents grew up there under former Yugoslavia and the communist party regime so I do my best to understand communism/socialism and how horrible is truly is. My father, like you was a refugee and I’m so blessed he came here and gave me life in this country. I also really appreciate learning these things from your perspective as well as my family members. I really just want to say thank you for what you do and I admire how resilient you are ♥️ you are truly an inspiration and I’m so happy you’re here and part of the USA 🇺🇸

Yeonmi, I have always been concerned with North Korea's situation since Kim Il Sung has been involved because I also come from a very repressed communist country. Would like to meet you for lunch when we can both plan it. I feel like I can relate so much with your situation. I had to flee Cuba in 1980 because of all the repression in my country.
Would really like to sit down with you so we can discuss and compare many of the experiences we've both lived in our different sides of the world. Let me know if I can meet you in your hometown of Chicago sometime in the future, I can come visit you whenever you're in the mood to discuss some knowledge on these topics. I don't mind making all the arrangements. I would like to learn more on your culture and share some of my experiences so we can see, learn and understand how both our communist party's differ, I don't even mind making a video for you where you can interview me or interview each other. 👍

You mentioned 5 things that you can't buy in North Korea , but your title says 6 shocking things you can't buy in North Korea. Something you either left out of the title is misleading. Have a Happy New Year Yeonmi Park.

Yenomi Park for a Nobel peace prize !
How do we get this sorted for her. I want her very much to get this award !
Yenomi could quite easily have thought and said once on American soil I'm alright now Jack but no for years now she has shown that she is deeply concerned for the people in North Korea and what's going on there and relentlessly has continued to highlight all about it.
Apart from this she is an amazing and intelligent woman and seriously she should be the one running that country not that other one! Who knows life is full of surprises maybe one day that will be the day you just don't know.It would make my day cos I believe she would be a leader who could be trusted and turn that country completely right around!

You’re a very brave and remarkable young woman. Thank you for sharing this information about North Korea. It’s so important for the rest of the world to know what really goes on there. I hope one day that everyone in North Korea will have the basic necessities they so desperately need.

2:50 This is how I’d know you’re from socially conservative country even if you wouldn’t say you’re from the North Korea🙂. Society in our countries just makes us this way.

I don't know how much she is real & i know the fact that she changed her statements many times in interviews ( either because the media pays for the interview like $500/hr and that's like really good for a defector with no money at all )
But atleast it's confirmed that she is a NK defector & that she has a good buisness mind and she made a career and now is literally a celeb ! ( and the fact that she is a beautiful girl just increases her subs )
