This song was written by John Kaonohiokala Keawehawaii and often sung by his daughter, well-known entertainer, Karen Keawehawaii. Kumu Hula Tracie Lopes is her daughter and the granddaughter of the composer, so this mele has special meaning to the ʻohana.

Yes, these wonderful artists performing in Moanalua Gardens is very special. That's why Keauhou chose it for the release of their new album. Especially with lingering pandemic worries and restrictions, it was so much more heavenly than doing it in a building with a standard stage. (Though they did have to let the program end with the setting sun, even when everyone wanted the celebration to go on.)
