If you are lucky enough to find a video of Chris de Burgh performing 'A Spaceman Came Travelling' with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall on Christmas Day (around ten years ago), please listen to it - it's extraordinarily beautiful!
Today November 18 2023 -- it was decades ago when Chris deBurgh released this and my wife bought the album. It caused a stir and anger amoung conservative christians. Each denomination and sect certain THEY WERE the ONLY ONES. But what light guided those wise men across the desert??? We need the MESSAGE AGAIN.
Try "In a country churchyard" or "the traveller" or "don't pay the ferryman" or "the getaway" "the last time i cried" or "the keeper or the keys" or "spanish train" to namr just a few amazing chris de burgh songs.
@thomasalmond3311 I know. If I recommended half a dozen songs today they'd probably be completely different. Mind you I haven't listened to Chris in the last year since I posted that. I do have tickets to see him in February, though.

Best Christmas song ever
This was so similar to my first reaction hearing this song 2 years ago. It's the only Christmas song I play year round.
Seen him in concert in 1988, my all time favourite artist. He has such stories with his songs

If the truth be known there's probably more people in their hearts believe in this than any religion.
This and Don't Pay The Ferryman are his best
100%

Hi Patrick, I agree, it's just a shame that he's mostly known for THAT song!!!.

It's considered a Christmas song here.
