Imagine looking out your window to see the center line of the runway.
Hihihi, very good argument 😂😂
I was thinking the same thing 😂
Bro my heart would drop seeing that
It is what it is😂
I flew into MSP several years ago on a Beech 19 and we did just that. The lady a few rows up was *not* impressed even though the actual landing was butter smooth
Hats off the the engineers who built the landing gear on the 380 wow !
This pilot could land a plane with butter as landing gear
the idea from a Boeing B-52.
engineers are cool
Absolutely amazing: "I can land a flying office block - sideways!"
Lots of amazing landings and recoveries recently: thank you very much!
Thanks for that
Gawdammmmmmm, that A380 landing was a *monumental* sight. I am a huge diehard B747 fan but my hat is *officially* off to Airbus -- and that PIC.
That A380 crab was beautiful
That A380 landing reminded me of what happened when a couple of Irish pilots were coming in to Prestwick Airport in Scotland. One said to the other "They haven't left us much distance to land on", and the other replied, "yes, but look at the width of the runway!".
I guess having an aircraft the size of the A380 is a big advantage in those conditions.
It's those big sexy wings. It makes the air want to caress and hold it close
🤣😅😉🙃😁
Are you also a racist from the 70s or is it just your joke?
No its worse bigger surface area.
That USAF C-4 Brakes are literally fire🔥🔥🔥
they got lucky - those wheels, I believe, are Magnesium. If those lit up... yikes!
@@harryh5620 ...and one would hope that the fuse-plugs on the wheels did their job!
Naw that cross wind landing would’ve scared the living shit out of me if I was a passenger
If the camera viewpoint was down the centre line, it would look even more spectacular
Damn that Delta came in HOT. . .
That bounce could have ended very badly with the plane landing on the nose gear.
There's something very satisfying about watching those gear extension/retraction tests, like the Boeing 767 at 2:25. I'd love to see that for real.
I can go watch them do gear swings at the hangar (on 737s) but I've always wanted to go peek in on a C or D check. Those heavy checks get the aircraft taken down to hardly anything and then rebuilt!
@@Aviator27J I don't mind admitting that I am envious of you for that😄! But yes, given the opportunity, I would gladly spend a whole week bringing packed meals to a maintenance hangar to watch a C or D check that is underway!
That's some powerful gear.
@@sharoncassell9358 It sure is powerful gear alright. I'd imagine it takes more power to retract it than it does to lower it, as it's working against gravity. I'd love to see the figures, like how much power is involved.
Watching pilots maneuvering and adjusting in crosswind landings is very impressive!
Fantastic!! I always thank my pilot and their crew each and every time we land safely at our destination. Those were definitely experienced pilots. So many lives to be responsible for. I give these landings a standing ovation.
I don’t remember the last time I saw the pilot of a flight I’ve been on.
i'm pretty sure this was a cargo flight
That A380 was unreal Those engines are incredible.
Passenger on 38F : Miss ! Why am I seeing the runway through my window ? 😂
Would be 36K in a 380 no?
@@sigma_nomad Yes K is on the right in economy with 3 + 4 + 3 seats. So A-B-C, D-E-F-G, then H-J-K skipping "I" to avoid confusion with "1".
I rewatched that landing probably 10 times, incredible
That A 380 was an extraordinary performance by the crew. 👍👍 Really incredible.
Incredibly bad? The idea is to minimize the side loading on the gear when touching down. Makes the rest of the landing rollout MUCH less frenetic and best of all, controlled. The engineers fitted the airplane with a huge powerful rudder and ailerons to help in the process. I guess it's just easier for some guys to perform a sideways-crabbing smackdown landing. My point is that it takes minimal skill to land sideways. Show me that same landing with the guy skillfully aligning the jet with the centerline as he's touching down and I'll add my accolades.
@@lbowsk copy that captain. How are you enjoying the first edition of Flight Simulator?
@@thebobloblawshow8832 Why make a snarky assumption without knowing a thing about my background and experience? Happy to put my resume up for review with yours. I believe most professionals will support my opinion.
@@lbowsk you came across as a snarky, rude, @$$hole. Anyone that reads your comment will agree. Don’t deal it out if you can’t take it. 👍
@@lbowsk I'm curious, go ahead.
wow this crab landing is awesome ! I can't imagine the colour of the faces of the passengers... Thanks again for all these yummy videos ! 🙂
The pilot of that A-380 is highly skilled.
Thank you for EXACTLY 3 minutes of Aviation! 😀
This is the best 3MOA to date -- the A380 crosswind landing supremacy; C5A overheated brakes and the B737 hard landing bounce commemerate and validate *both* the dedication and skill of our pilots *and* the excellent aircraft they fly. Color me impressed!
Many years ago, I flew into Gatwick on a WardAir 747. Sitting in seat 1A, it looked like I was about 50’ into the grass when the main gear touched down. Very weird feeling indeed!
Whenever I see one of these crabbed crosswind landings, I wonder what it must be like being seated far back in the tail. I imagine they must feel pretty seasick when the plane whips back to align with the runway.
AMAZING skills !
Pilot deserves a bonus for this landing 👋👋👋👋👋
I think he needs practice. That was horrid.
Most incredible landing I’ve ever seen. Amazing video capture
Imagine sitting on the right side of the A380 and seeing a cockpit type view of the runway ahead out of your passenger window! Would like to see a video of that view!
I would be saying, go around, go around, go around, go around, please lord, go around!!!!!
Amazing, great job !! 🙂
Whenever I see a crosswind landing, my first thought is always it's either Narita or Heathrow.
I remember Narita was a bit of a challenging airport to land, the tower wind was 80% incorrect, the direction was variable like hell, flying airbus sidestick into this airport was like soup making but nonetheless a very fun airport to land in. Thanks for the video!!!
That's insane!!!! Awesome video!!!
Loved the landing gear extension.
love those 767 landing gears!
I do remember so well that Etihad A380 landing at Heathrow
Awesome as usual!
Although I know absolutely nothing about planes, I love your channel, and am learning heaps from the comments. Thankyou.
The skills of the pilots on the A380 are more than incredible!!🤯 they are just mindblowing
Love this channel ❤
Those are some big-ass jackstands for the 767 🤣🤣🤣
Yea fr they’re huge lol
Give the designer of the A380 landing gear a bottle of champagne and a Lordship 😂
Expert landing job!
I experienced a landing like that landing in high winds in Warsaw, Poland from NYC after a 5 hour takeoff delay due to storms. I'm watching out the window and the runway getting closer and we're sideways (basically putting my window row in the "front") and thinking there's no way and what the F are they thinking?!?!? A very calm voice was saying "hold on, folks, it's going to be a bumpy landing." Then the massive jerk as the plane whipped about 35-40 degrees in an instant to straighten itself when the rear wheels touched down and it was over in about 30 seconds. By far the scariest flight I've ever been on but very thankful to the skilled pilots. We had pretty bad turbulence before that as well.
imagine finding a crab the size of an A380
The A380 was nuts. I love the landing gear on that plane.
Great Capture!
In the past I've flown in and out of Narita many many times. Now, thanks to your three minutes, I'm terrified to ever fly there again. 🙂
Professional walking through!
A b52 crab landing would have been interesting
Nice compilation.... ❤
Cool to see Cebu Pacific!
absolut epic ! ❤🙏
Outstanding pilot !!! Skills are good
That first clip... Wow!
RIP the pants of those on that Etihad A380 😳
Amazing pilot work, it's cool to watch the rudder movement 👍
Great video!
A380 had a calling for initial d, takumi’s proud of you.
That A380 pilot made a perfect crosswind landing.
Looks like we owe you a second again.
Great video as always.
That was some pedal dancing in that 380 to straighten it out once it was down. Very impressive!
The pedal dancing was a bit late.
Outstanding
Wow, very consecutive videos this week! 😃👌🏾
That!!!! The A380!!!!!!! Such skill this pilot exemplified!!!
Holy crap that 737 at 2:14 looks like me landing in fs2020 lmao
Impressive piloting!
The A380 pilot has do a PERFECT JOB, cross the plane all necessary, down the rear wheels to the runway, brakes straighten the course, and then low the nose when the plane is parallel, then, the front wheels guides the plane straight.
Those A380’s are amazing
Always the best videos on RUclips. The #1 landing was just stunning. I liked the gear deployment in the hanger. If you ever get the chance, do the same for a USAF C-5; the articulations are remarkable.
amazing staff
Very impressive
Hi good evening everyone today I like this video because of Etihad airways i know Etihad airways captain (plane pilot)are very professional .they knows haw to handle bad weather conditions. ❤❤❤❤
I don't know what's crazier, that first landing or seeing an airplane up on blocks.
I like the commentary and reaction from camera man 😂
That was really an extreme crabbing skill. Hats off to the pilots.
Bet the passangers in the back of that A380 were swinging!! lol
That pilot landing that enormous beast is pure talent and skill!
The 737-900 flight landed quickly using the jet engine by touching the runaway!!!
Truly spectacular.....
That first one was almost about to be a Ryanair landing....but then we saw the difference.
"It aint the plane...Its the pilot" applies here as well.
Nice
During my check ride to earn my pilots license i had a make a cross wind landing in very heavy gusts and the DPE told me not to wprry if i feel the stick moving, hes helping me. U landed the plane on my own with no assistance and his first words were congratulations your a pilot.
How can such a huge thing just float on the air like that Is beyond me
The people in the back of that 380 must’ve gotten whiplash from that landing!
danke
How good was that first one….wow that wheel
That first one terrified me just watching it!! 😬
Супер!!!!!
Decades ago I used to hang with a group of commercial pilots each of whom had developed their flying experience in Northern Canada working as bush pilots. They had all experienced life=threatening situations which tested their flying prowess to the extreme. Experience that one couldn't buy at any cost, experience that taught them how to keep cool in critical situations working for major airlines.
that first one wow
That Delta plane popped a wheelie 🤣
1:53
Ryanair CEO: "You're hired!"
Holy friggen moly that a380 may as well have been drifting down the run way. Incredible. No wonder engineers don’t want to build anything bigger lol
That first pilot has mad skills!
Someone needs to teach that A380 pilot the difference between his right foot and his left.
Ethiad pilots are a whole another level
other* (not another)
@@JohnyG29 oop my bad thanks!
Crabbing...Great pilot skills.
Scary stuff! Would hate to be a passenger on some of these… 🤯
being in the back when he had to whip the tail back to centerline after landing would have been quite the ride lol
Talking about "Skills"......👍👍
That Delta should have gone around too
Absolutely. Guy is lucky he didn't tail strike with the upset attitude the second time they set down.
@@Fast351 completely agree
why didnt LHR designate a different runway *into* the wind rather than a crosswind runway? or did the crosswind only kick up at the last minute of approach?
Hats off and Roses to the Pilots for Controlling a Huge Aircraft in an Intense Crosswind !! 🙏🏽
That was me on my solo
Had no idea about cross winds
Went round and round for about an hour, until almost out of gas, I was scared because the plane would go sideways and I thought it would roll.
At the end I had no choice, thanks God nothing happened
Remember my knees shaking so bad, and still had to go through the solo ceremony, all the kicking and used oil shower, but only a couple kicks got me,run away from the oil and the rest of my friends, jumped on my car that I had parked right out side the door for the special occasion
The pilot of that A-380 is highly skilled.
