I think it's because they hired national-level gymnasts as stunt doubles (bc Olympic gymnasts don't have enough time to do stunts) but they had them do Olympic-level routines. Basically speaking, they did routines harder than what they can normally do.
HOLA, es una serie de television, y ella es una actriz, es obvio que no van a poner una chica profesional de los juegos olimpicos, porque no se ponen a criticar que superman no cumple las leyes de la gravedad tambien, disfruten y sean felices. C'MON, is a television series, and she is an actress, is obviously not going to get a professional girl olympics, because they get to criticize that superman does not satisfy the laws of gravity too, enjoy and be happy.
@LenialiseGomez yeah they all have stunt doubles who are like legit American gymnasts. My guess it that because they showed Lauren doing the some stuff on the beam, they had to make it wide for her and keep it wide for the double for continuity.
About level 7 or lower. Check out Sui Lu, Deng Linlin, Catalina Ponor, Aly Raisman, Larisa Iordache, Sarah Finnegan, Katelyn Ohashi. All do much more difficult skills- and much more of them.
@Golden92 We all know this, but the thing is they aren't even TRYING to hide it. They can easily use fancy camera work from different angles and our eyes would be fooled.
Actually, that beam was more than real. It maybe looks wide for being on TV but if you compare it to those you see in an actual elite gymnasium, it's pretty much the same length, 4 and a half inches.
This is why i hate this show, the beam is NOT EVEN CLOSE to that size. can you imagine the skills that REAL gymnasts could do if the beam was actually that huge!
Sophia Rojas i am a guy but i agree none of the actresses in the show were not gymastically trained to pro level alya i know admitted she had done some training in gym/
Yes. I use a STANDARD 4 inch beam. Not a x-large beam. The actress only records the coreography, all the "big moves" are done by stunts, real gymnasts who are supposed to use a 4 inch beam. I mean, obviously the actresses have a huge discount (even if a simple coreography is not hard to do on a real beam) but the gymnasts, really?
Aren’t those judges even going to say anything about the width of that beam? That has to be at least a 5.0 deduction for using an eight inch wide beam.
Ya an actress might be able to walk on it.....but doing layouts and triple turns perfectly? Plus you don't even do beam so you have no right to judge!!!!!
So, did they teach her how to do that or what? Stunt double? And if it is a stunt double, shouldn't that person be able to do the routine on a regular size beam?
Glad it's not just me thinking that beam is like a double wide! They don't even try to hide the fact it's not a regulation size balance beam. Oh well, magic of tv...
I know how hard beam is because I have friends who do beam and struggle with it! I've seen it all mate! I can judge just like everyone else has the rights to!
I know they use the wider beams, but reading this comments I took another look and its actually really funny how wide it is compared to the 4 inches lol
That's because it would be too dangerous for both the actors and the doubles on the real one. They are world class athletes so they can't do the routine on a real one, the only way they can do it is on a wider beam. They do the best they can with what they have.
cant all of you just appreciate this awesome tv show instead of criticizing it? they are actors, not gymnasts
i wouldve never noticed the beam if it wasn't for the comments lmao
I wish the beams I competed on were that big! I would for sure win every time :,)
Judy Bartlett ikr
I kr right the beam and sum gyms and comps r literally 8 INCHS
that beam is bigger than Lauren's ego
Queen of Thorns
?
You can obviously tell it’s wider than a normal beam
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere the beam had to be bigger due to the scale of the episode. For safety issues
I think it's because they hired national-level gymnasts as stunt doubles (bc Olympic gymnasts don't have enough time to do stunts) but they had them do Olympic-level routines.
Basically speaking, they did routines harder than what they can normally do.
@@itsnando20 If you think those are Olympic-level routines....
Because it makes it much easier for the stunt double to do those skills- and much easier for Cassie (who plays Lauren) to walk, stand and pose on it.
oh gosh... shut up about the beam already. We've acknowledged it's huge already.
That "butt wave" move is interesting. Maybe I should put it in my beam routine and see what the judges do... :)
i miss this show !!
like if you want season 4!
Go Lauren fan you are favorite actress
One word- Awesome!!!!!
thats a huuuge beam
it's because the actresses playing the main characters have stunt doubles that look exactly like them
The song is: Yayaya by The Killerheels
Thank you, I've been looking for this track for a very long time
The fucking balance bench
IT'S A TV SHOW, GET OVER IT.
i find that lauren sizzle stuff just SO funny!!!!
Did anyone else notice the beam was at least six inches, phhh, I would win big time if it was that thick😂
It’s at least a foot wide maybe two 😂

0:43 that is such a lauren move!
@SugarInStilletos yes but they use stunt doubles and in other episodes the beam isn't that wide
I wish the beans a my gym where that big geese 😱
That beam is like triple the thickness of any other beam I have saw
imagine how much more insane gymnastics would be is the beam was ACTUALLY that wide. they'd be doing double fulls and stuff :P
It is wide because in gymnastics it is a lot skinner beam!
@Golden92 We all know this, but the thing is they aren't even TRYING to hide it. They can easily use fancy camera work from different angles and our eyes would be fooled.

You can see the cameras on the sides of the beam filming the show lol. And that's a huge beam! ;)
The beam is so huge!! Seriously!!
@Montrec100 it's her stunt double. Cassie's not an elite gymnast.
What Is The Name Of This Song
That beam is like a bench
Whats the name if the song? Man, I miss this show
@11signe Yayaya - The Killerheels
That beam is like a foot and a half wide!
I wish I competed on a beam that wide!
i know but you can see the width of the beam. it's like 3 times the width of a normal one
Your grate Lauren !
This is why i hate this show, the beam is NOT EVEN CLOSE to that size. can you imagine the skills that REAL gymnasts could do if the beam was actually that huge!
It's a show bruh 😂 calm down
Sophia Rojas i am a guy but i agree none of the actresses in the show were not gymastically trained to pro level alya i know admitted she had done some training in gym/

Love make it or break it
I wish I could train on that beam!!!
i just realized from the top comment that, that beam is HUGE! i me she has skills..she has too but...that beam is so wide!
Hi. Please. What is the song?
The standard beam is 4 1/2 inches so it might be to wide
seriously!! my grandma could work that beam!!
Aren’t those judges even going to say anything about the width of that beam? That has to be at least a 5.0 deduction for using an eight inch wide beam.
love the show but they need to make it more realistic i love the music what is the song called again
Ya an actress might be able to walk on it.....but doing layouts and triple turns perfectly? Plus you don't even do beam so you have no right to judge!!!!!
@CcRosi its an extended beam smart one.
I like the music
is dat a triple turn or my eyes was just playing tricks on me
if only the beam was that wide.. But really, it's kind of frustrating that they actually show that!
So, did they teach her how to do that or what? Stunt double? And if it is a stunt double, shouldn't that person be able to do the routine on a regular size beam?
wats the name of the song?????????/
what song is this???????????????
i'm not english so i'm gonna try to pose my question:
does somedy know something for watch all episodes please
What is the song that's played during the beam routine?
Glad it's not just me thinking that beam is like a double wide! They don't even try to hide the fact it's not a regulation size balance beam. Oh well, magic of tv...
Can soomeone please put the clip of Lauren when she is on bars and cries on youtube?
That beam wouldn't be regular in a normal competition I suppose
do they know the beam is suppose to be four inches
What song is this?
I know how hard beam is because I have friends who do beam and struggle with it! I've seen it all mate! I can judge just like everyone else has the rights to!
wtf!!!!!!!wooooowwwww the beam is huge
Seriously - that beam is probably 6 inches wide. How is this suposed to impress people if the producers don't stay true to the sport? :-/
and whose this song?
what is the song called
seriously people this is a tv show they need to acomodate the actresses since they aren't actual gymnasts
that beam is HUGE.
That akward moment when the two top comments are completly oppisite!
I like hate how gymnastics and ice skating competitions are always in spotlight on TV or in movies.
That's the widest beam in history...
Wow sam peszeck SHOULD be her double they even wear the same hairstyle
I know they use the wider beams, but reading this comments I took another look and its actually really funny how wide it is compared to the 4 inches lol
That is not a balance beam! 😂 It's a plank of wood
Did anyone notice the beam is really really wide
not being funny but how is that beam to wide what do you want her to do it on a stick jeeez your all so melo dramatic.
what kind of beam is that??
Why is the beam so wide?
Isn't the beam too wide?
whats the name of the song
There's anyone who know what's the music ?
wow i was a gymnast and my beam wasa way smaller than that
I like make it or break it , look at it ...Lauren is sooo nice and Kelly , or Payson
HA, I have watched this show over and over and I never payed attention to the width of the beam..lol
That beam is huge
What is this song??
2 people wish they were as good as her on beam
i wish r beams were that wide because then i wouldn't be scared to anything on there
La poutre est grande !! OMG
its for entertainment chill
was this in the 80s or something?
That's because it would be too dangerous for both the actors and the doubles on the real one. They are world class athletes so they can't do the routine on a real one, the only way they can do it is on a wider beam. They do the best they can with what they have.
I could do all this until I broke my back
