The dollar store. An ounce or two of sculpting material? We’ll say 10$ to be generous. 3 sculpting tools made of basic tools steel. We’ll say $5. Paints? $1 per bottle to be generous. Cutting board? $10 on Amazon. What am I missing?

"I want to make silicone molds."
I learned about injection molding from the guy who made the robocop suits for the original movies. He told me that unless you need to reuse the mold more than like 2 or 3 times, alginate is easier and cheaper than silicone. Also he said to fill it about half way, then carve a few indentations in the unused parts of the mold (for the interlocks) and spray it with mold release before pouring the rest, so when it's done you can just separate it (I use the word "just" lightly here, but at least it can be done) instead of having to cut it off with a knife.
The only adjective I can use to describe this box is 'considerate.' Everything's so thoughtfully chosen for any kind of art you might want to try!
There's nothing more wholesome than creators giving and receiving letters from each other.

I would LOVE to see Jazza try jewelry making; beadmaking, wire wrapping, anything. I've tried it and it's a ton of fun!

Found nerdecrafter watching her unbox yours and I've been binge watching her videos ever since, really great art community going between some great youtubers.
As a beginning artist this kit seems absolutely worth it and really fun!

Please don't waste your money. You can buy better quality products in larger amounts for what you pay for this box. Watch some experienced RUclipsrs, and get some ideas of what you are interested in and which products are best suited for your needs. Then, do some shopping around. There are many options and price points out there!
@@astrid6496 I'd argue the opposite, its a very good starting point if you're interested in clay and plaster casting, it has lots of reusable things, and high quality tools. If you don't have experience with anything you don't have much to go on even when listening to others as there's a learning curve involved with anything, but a much steeper one if you're figuring things out from nothing.
It's difficult just knowing what tools to get and then pick out your first things to start out with etc
The box has so many things to try out and see if you'll enjoy or not, and it saves both money and having to troubleshoot too much
And the items being all in one place its cost efficient too, and all the brands inside are good too. Thus giving a better experience playing around with something unfamiliar as well because you're not hindered by the shortcomings of a lesser product
@@fuzzymilk I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. There is nothing in there that I would exactly consider quality. Brand name yes, but I know from personal experience that better/equal quality items can be found for much cheaper. The only reason to purchase the box is if you don't want to source supplies yourself, but doing that is half the fun. You're paying for her name, and nothing else. For some people maybe that's worth it?
@@astrid6496 Jackie did a lot of research for this kit. It wasn’t just random art supplies. She has a whole series on why items she choose and why she chose them for the box.

Don’t forget the holes in the back are for the armature wire. So you can make a tail and wings or whatever else you choose to use them for.
I just love how adorably excited he gets when the figure comes out of the mold fully intact.

When I saw the plaster stuff it gave me so much nostalgia! idk about other countries but here they used to sell these things in toy stores with lots of different molds and you could make flowers and sea shells and angels... Brings me back like ten years
