This video is AMAZING! It shows a person replacing a screen with the power on, which isn't a good thing to do to begin with. Then after rebooting, the power comes up a couple of percent. Watching the clock on the phone (which the video maker clearly tried to hide) it shows time increasing only 2 minutes to install a new screen. FANTASTIC! There is a massive time-shift on the phone when it goes to show the 2nd issue, which isn't even explained, but then it jumps back to the original time of 18:00 hours when it is fixed again. I wouldn't trust this guy to clean the screen on my phone, much less to take it apart and replace it.
total waste of time watching, touch id failure can not be fixed like this, 3rd party screens and home buttons won't work when replaced with the old genuine apple screen. simple as that. this video is a joke
Happened to me just today. What I done was attached it back to the other phone to make sure it wasn't the button. Once I eliminated that, believe it or not all I done was connected the home button before I connected the rest of the connectors back. I tried and it worked every time, the only time I got the error message is when I connected the home button first,, you're welcome!
This only works if you keep the ORIGINAL home button. Why don't people ever elaborate on things. If you don't use the ORIGINAL home button your touch ID will never work unless someone comes up with a program to re-program the Touch ID code to work with new home button
Monce Records ok thanks cause I replaced my iPhone 6 screen and put the same home button back on and it worked I was just wondering if it was the same for my iPhone 7
Monce Records ik that’s wat I was think I have the patience and Time was just wonder if it was worth it because I want to repair the iPhone before the crack spreads
If this happened after a screen replacement and it still doesn’t work after a reset it is most likely to be a fake iphone screen that doesn’t respond to the Touch ID
Well, we have posted some blog articles about how to prolong our phone battery. You may check this out on our blog entitled " 12 Mistakes You Probably Make While Charging Your Phone", maybe this would be helpful for you.
First, maybe his iPhone Touch ID failed because he's wearing finger condoms! Second, why didn't you go a little faster and block the screen more with your fingers and use fewer closeups? I had absolutely no trouble keeping up. Third, what a great idea to have lame royalty-free music instead of verbal instructions. The music was so much more helpful than what we could have gleened from the spoken word. In case you didn't realize, all of the above is 𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒎. Obviously, you have knowledge that a lot of people need. As of today, almost 225,000 people have viewed this video in search of answers. PLEASE RE-DO THE VIDEO. Slow down; use more closeups; tell us what you're doing at all times -- all without any music. Oh, and get rid of the finger condoms; this isn't iPhone p*rn video!
Hi, the lower part of my screen didn't work so somebody fixed it by LCD replacement and then before I give my phone I reset it so the technician told me that touch id software is deactivated and there's nothing we can do. So is that true that we cannot do anything to fix my touch id? My fingerprint didn't work. Thanks!
If it is iPhone 7, after replacing the LCD screen, the Touch ID will not work. If it is iPhone 6, you replace the LCD screen but the Home button is the old one, it will continue work. If you also changed a new Home button, the Touch ID will not work.
I had my screen replaced and they swapped the button over to new screen but the button isn’t working and I tried everything to get it to work this button worked before screen replacement so I dont know the problem Apple iPhone 7 Gold A1660 sprint model
It is the Virtual Home button, you can go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch to active it. More about it please visit here:goo.gl/feaH8E
For all the Apple consumers who can't afford to pay $150 or don't want to waste their money to use Touch ID, Apple made their screens able to recognized non-Apple screens such as aftermarket and 3rd party screens as a way to force you all to spend $150 on their deal. Get your screen refurbished or buy one that has already been refurbished, and don't lose your original home button.
I have replaced whole upper part of my IPhone 5s (motherboard dead) to another Iphone 5s which was cracked and touchID doesn't work too. So whats the problem if i use original touchID? :/
Ah, ok. So the Apple, when change the Home Button or TouchID due to malfunction make a connect between TouchID and A7 and it works. Doesn't matter, without TouchID is the life more complicated, but iphone works. Thank you sir
Actually my mobile touch and display was replaced but at the same time Touch ID didn't work, please give me any suggestions. It's all above I was doing lot off times but nothing else please help
Carlos Monce Records hey bro Real touch id means New phone's screen and button (Replacmemt dummy a lovked genuine phone) Or the Real my old button of my own set??? Plzz answer
Who knows how to fix a ripped home button flex, It's ripped right at the top on home button and not flex cable so it would be a pretty tight fit if you were going to solder it or however you fix it, I'm willing to ship it out lol
Basically... power off and wait a minute... then power back on fixed it. Video a bit confusing at first since there’s no explanation and he’s pressing all the buttons. Just power off... then on.
i replaced my screen and still got my fingerprint scanner to work it dint work immediately but after about a week the home button started working but i couldn't use the fingerprint scanner but after about another week i was able to put in a fingerprint.
I replace my iphone 7 plus lcd today. And I ripped the home button flex a little bit now the button doesn't work but the touch id still works :( what now?
In case your screen is replaced, and the home button where the touch ID is associated to the previous owner will still be there because it was not changed. Either you’re going to buy a new home button (Where Touch ID is compatible) and have it repaired again. This happened to me as well. If you guys can handle this. Then passcode is the other option you can have.
You didnt actually do anything to make it work, just hit a bunch of random keys and restarted phone. That would not work, please let us know if you did anything different.
i just reseted my phone and then watched this video and didnt wanted to do it because it so easy that it got weird. then i did it and.... it worked holy shit xd
You just need to replace the plate that comes with the flex cable, they're not expensive at most $15 dlls, if you replace the button the ID won't work ever again
mines was perfect then touch id stopped recognising fingerprints, then about a month later it failed and came up the error message, then now the home button doesn't work either ;-;
Hard reset your iPhone or upgrade the iOS to the newest to have a try. If it still not works, I guess the Home button is loosened or the flex cable is broken.
1. Check the home button flex cable to make sure it is in good condition. If the flex cable is broken, it will not work. 2.Try to reinstall the home button
THATS NOT EVEN A REAL IPHONE, ITS A CLONE!! FAST FORWARD TO 2:11, IPHONE SETTINGS DOESNT HAVE JAPANESE! AND YOU CAN TELL BY THAT MENU BUTTON TOP CENTER OF THE PHONE! IPHONES DONT HAVE THAT!
The "menu button" in the top is the assistive touch. I'll bet he uses that to go back to the homescreen since obviously the home button was not working. Also, the japanese you see in the settings are names for the fingerprints that are added on the phone. Know what you're talking about next time

3rd party screens work, home buttons don't...
Worked for me. Just needed a reset

so just to make sure if i just buy the screen replacement and not the full lcd and screen then my touch id will still wok
Monyea Tate your Touch ID should work only if you use the old home button. Screen has nothing to do with it
Monce Records ok thanks cause I replaced my iPhone 6 screen and put the same home button back on and it worked I was just wondering if it was the same for my iPhone 7
Monyea Tate you would have to research. iPhone 7 is a whole new beast
Monce Records ik that’s wat I was think I have the patience and Time was just wonder if it was worth it because I want to repair the iPhone before the crack spreads
I restarted mine and it came up immediately after it turned on saying " unable to work Touch ID "
My phone is doing that aswell
Because u didn’t put the original home button on the replacement screen
Same
Caitlinnn y
Ya bro same problem
Lol, i forgot to attach the home button cable
what are those condoms you have one your fingers?
Prevent static electricity and sweat corrosion parts
lol I was thinking the same thing.
Is iphone 6s original touch id is will work on another iPhone 6s's motherboard?
I just replaced motherboard and home button but Touch ID isn’t working
What should I do if the screen is the reason why my touch ID isn't working
i got black screen of death after following your video, thanks
😂😂
No youbjust have to restart it that’s all
If this happened after a screen replacement and it still doesn’t work after a reset it is most likely to be a fake iphone screen that doesn’t respond to the Touch ID
Touch ID is not associated with the screen
So I just got my phone replaced but any tips on the battery because it keeps going down way too fast (I even tried restarted it) dunno what to do
Well, we have posted some blog articles about how to prolong our phone battery. You may check this out on our blog entitled " 12 Mistakes You Probably Make While Charging Your Phone", maybe this would be helpful for you.
Yo the reason is your main battery
Its probably under 50 percent
I have an iPhone 6 plus. After screen replacement the touch ID not working. Whats the reason?
I just got my screen fixed and it was 60 but my brother says that why doesn’t the fingerprint work?
How did your battery percentage go higher after restarting the iphone?
IzzyDaKids Crew iPhones do that even mine
it means the iPhone battery is weak from the phone over heating.
Love you brother is working
It's our pleasure that this video can solve your problems.
1:45 you only restarted the iPhone and its Worked?
I guess

ahhhhhhhh
You have to buy an original iphone screen from ebay, the chinese knockoff screens don't work with the home button.
Mine works, it is capable of scanning the finger AND is read by the phone itself, but it wont go home when pressed, its odd
I had my screen replaced and they swapped the button over to new screen but the button isn’t working and I tried everything to get it to work this button worked before screen replacement so I dont know the problem Apple iPhone 7 Gold A1660 sprint model
You should go back to the repair shop and ask them for a check. Maybe the home button flex cable is broken.
how do you get that dark square on your iphone at the top of the screen with a grey circle in it? I can't get that on my phone!
It is the Virtual Home button, you can go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch to active it. More about it please visit here:goo.gl/feaH8E
Not working on my iphone6. I just change the screen then now it's not working. Please help.
Hi John, have you ever checked the home button flex cable and whether it connected well to the motherboard
ETrade Supply yes it was well connected. Even when i bought a new back plate, still it didnt fix the problem.

David Mcgowan Cuz the battery went down dumbass😂😂
It went 7%, 9%, 10%, 8% then 7%... so I would say he is right.... dumbass
Thanks it worked
I have original touch id but this method doesnt work for me...
Check your home button flex cable and connector, make sure they are in good condition. If they are damaged, the touch id will not work.
I did it, the Touch ID is now working , but my iphone can not charge.
Check whether the charge port flex cable is broken or not, or whether the flex cable connector was connected well.
You didnt actually do anything to make it work, just hit a bunch of random keys and restarted phone. That would not work, please let us know if you did anything different.
In most of the occasion, restart the iPhone can solve this issues, otherwise, make sure the connectors are connected well.
everyone staarts their iphone nearly everyday. dick face dont u think people have tried that as a first port of call.
Just replace the home button flexible (not touch id). Only usd 1.4 in indonesia😂
i put original home button but it still does not work.
Try again or reboot the device.
ETrade Supply Updated my phone afterwards and now cant call or receive put on speaker or facetime

So you have to put the original home button on?
Yeah, you should use the old home button
I just fixed mines but it Saying “no fingerprint “ Bc when I opened my phone I think I pushed a button to inactive the home button
Thats fake without the original HOME button Touch ID will not work!
This video shows you how to fix the touch ID NOT work after screen replaced. We don't replace the original Home button.

Hi Mark, restart the iPhone, it is useful always times.

my iphone 6s original home button flex cable been ripped. So if I change a new home button then how can I make Touch ID function work again ?

No restart dident work
1. Check the home button flex cable to make sure it is in good condition. If the flex cable is broken, it will not work.
2.Try to reinstall the home button
Can i get a new touch id button ?
Yes, you can get a new one but please note, the new home button has no function, no touch function and touch ID

Hi Mike, we only change the Lcd screen and the Home button is the old one. So it is useful.
yeah ok but in the video title you say "why touch id fail after screen replaced" so i gave one solution to other ppl that have this problem :)
