I started investing in dividends with my taxable account. I used the buy and hold strategy in my Roth, adding some Berkshire B stock, SCHD, and an S&P 500 and total market exchange-traded fund.

An effective strategy serves as a cornerstone in an investor's portfolio. As the level of risk increases, so does the potential for reward, making it essential to seek advice from experienced professionals for making sound decisions.

Bought 400 shares of VYM a while back at $67 and since I'm a buy and hold investor, I am happy with it's total performance especially since I'm retired. There is a bit less volatility in VYM vs. SCHD which I like.

SCHD’s dividend growth is coming back. Remember SCHD’s dividend growth comes not only from the growth rates of its holdings but also from the annual reconstitution. When it removed lower yields and adds higher yielding stocks this can significantly affect the year over year dividend growth rate. I’m expecting a very juicy dividend increase this quarter.

Check for overlap. Warren Buffet said, Pick your best one, and put it all into that. Why put into your 1st and 2nd best?

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Charlotte Miller.

I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Charlotte Miller, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.

I have 2 out of the 3. I choose to keep VYM out as it seemed a bit more overlap with my other positions. SCHD is heavy on Pfizer and I'm think that Div will be cut.

I just unsubscribed 3 Kamala ads. If you voted for Biden I definitely don't trust your judgement!

I'm pretty sure that the individual RUclipsrs have no control over what the advertising algorithms show you.
