I get that Helena may want to torment him and that even in death, he'd still want to be around her. However, why Hogwarts? @@jaysonisgreat They probably left in the Griffindor dorm in place where only other rule breakers would find it, and left instructions on how to use it. Lupin said something like they left it behind and thought it would be funny to lure others into rule breaking.
This is a great theory, and I was able to pause the video, and think about this. I thought something similar about the encounter. Voldemort was a master manipulator, and would know to, for the lack of a better term, sweet talk Hellena. Into giving him the location of the diadem.
Dude went from loving her to straight up merking her cause she didn't love her mom Rowling might have some weird moments but her characters definitely ain't no simps lmao.
I think that 1) Helena may not have not cared about her mom, but she was being requested by a man who had many many many times propositioned her and refused to take her no for an answer and i believe she didn't trust that her mother wasn't trying to trick her or that he wasn't trying to trick her. She wouldn't have known that her mother didn't sell her out. So I can absolutely see her refusing the Baron. but as far as Tom, I think he used this same approach on the Baron first. He was the ghost of slytherin house. He would have been perceptive enough to notice the Baron avoiding Helena (out of guilt) and could have easily started by asking innocent enough questions like, how did you die? and slowly gain his trust. Slowly get him to gush about Helena (the love of his life). Tom probably knew more about Helena then any of the others who may have tried to talk to her in the past.
@Daryl Franklin, Jr. “Did you ever hear the tragedy of Salazar Slytherin the Wise?” “No.” “I thought not, it’s not a story the Aurors would tell you. It’s a Death Eater legend. Salazar Slytherin was a great wizard of the Middle Ages so powerful and so wise that he could use a Basilisk to influence the Muggleborns to create...death. He had such a knowledge of Parseltongue, he could even keep the people he hated from living.” “He could actually...prevent his enemies from staying alive?” “The Basilisk’s stare is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.” “W-what happened to him?” “He became so prejudiced against Mudbloods that the only thing he was afraid of was...losing his school’s purity which, eventually of course he did. Unfortunately he told Gryffindor everything he thought, then the others drove him out of the castle. It’s ironic, they could save Mudbloods from Slytherin’s ideals...but not his basilisk.” “Is it possible to learn this power?” “Not from an auror.”

Everybody says "Albania" completely ignoring that these people lived a thousand years ago when places had different names. At that time, depending on who you asked, Scotland was called "Alban" or "Albain" which makes it a possibility. She didn't have to run that far. She just hid it really well, perhaps behind enchantments.
You are quite right. Tom was an excellent imitator of altruism, he turned her trust into hatred, when she discovered that he had made a fool of her. Hope nobody of you, folks, will ever be deceived like she was, even though she had been mean herself.
If I were doing it from a manipulative approach I would have played the long game. Over a period of time would have sincerely befriended her. Sympathized without broaching the subject. Ask about her life and ambitions. Then in the year I would be taking the O.w.l.s I would play up the stress. Again without bringing it up directly. Confide in her my concerns over my knowledge. Drop key points of having no time to learn all I needed to. Lead her to the opening to tell me of the diadem. Or If that failed convince her I’ve found so much peace in making amends and convince her that bringing it back would allow for some amount of peace in her even in the after life. If ALL that failed I’d say “Look tell me where it is and I’ll personally push the four eyed kid who makes every year a stress filled war zone for everyone else down the shifting stair case”
Having paused the video at the directed time, based on the available information about Helena Ravenclaw, the key to persuading her to reveal the location of the diadem would be to use the right combination of flattery and sympathy, as she is the ghost of a very vain and selfish person who died in a horrible, violent manner...
One thing I think, because of her Shy nature, He'd make syure he was always alone. That would play to many reasons, but ultimately it's because he knew she wouldn't like talking around too many studantsat once. Maybe have points where he'd have a friend talk him up if the felt she was watching
So voldemort physically can't feel loving emotion, but even so, there are functioning sociopaths in our society that don't resort to murder. Voldemort's back story in a good book following this path would be great
He didnt take his emotions out on her when she didnt give him the information about the diadem right away. I think that surprised her, because no doubt many students got angry that she wouldnt tell them where it was, and tried to force it out of her by any means possibly(insults, for example).
If I was asking Helena about the diadem I would explain that I am not seeking knowledge and I am not wanting the diadem. I am only seeking it to destroy it. As well as help you find your own way
He's a question for everyone, If both Dumbledore and Voldemort were the two most powerful wizards in England, if not the world, and with Dumbledore dead and Harry killing Voldemort, does that mean that Harry is now the most powerful wizard in England/world?
@@zhihanlim3500 There's more to both Dumbledore and Voldemort than dueling I think that it was more than that that allowed Harry to beat Voldemort at Hogwarts He anticipated Voldemort's actions and other aspects for the last 7 years in fighting him for the Sorcerer's/ Philosopher's stone, and defeating Quirell as an 11 year old, Tom Riddle's shadow self and the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets when he was 12, driving back more than 100 dementors at once in Prisoner, defending himself against Voldemort at the Little Hangleton graveyard, resisting and defeating Barty Crouch's Imperious Curse, Fighting Voldemort's mind control in Order of the Phoenix, fighting back against Umbridge's oppression and teaching others to fight against her orders which prepared them 2 years later to fight Voldemort's army, and the rest that he did including hunting down and destroying horcruxes while avoiding his forces for an entire year. Harry is an extremely powerful wizard. Perhaps more as an 11 year old than many adults
He probably would have said something like "You were right to take the diadem from your mother. It rightfully belongs to you and if you tell me where to find it I'll give it to you." Only for him to turn it into a Horcrux and reveal that he had no intention of giving it back. @@jaysonisgreat They probably left in the Griffindor dorm in place where only other rule breakers would find it, and left instructions on how to use it. Lupin said something like they left it behind and thought it would be funny to lure others into rule breaking.
Amazing content! Really am enjoying it. One question. Do you have a PO box to send fan mail to?
Nicely put theory Dean!!
This is a great theory, and I was able to pause the video, and think about this. I thought something similar about the encounter. Voldemort was a master manipulator, and would know to, for the lack of a better term, sweet talk Hellena. Into giving him the location of the diadem.
Man Tom looks so good with the diadem on he never looked better lol
I think when Tom made Helena a cherry pie that clinched the deal
Please do a video about Tom Riddles second house is Ravenclaw! That man def has Ravenclaw energy
At 10:03 ... The moment Tom looked like a frickin princess 😂
Tom is very similar to Darth sidious in Star wars. The way they plan is genius horrible but genius
@Dean Blue And their proclivity to survive death. -_-
Good point they mirror each other in multiple ways
@@deanblue5077 they would be good friends
@@Longshanks1690 The Dark Arts are a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural.
Sad and depressing is an understatement of this story, beautifully narrated , but very sad
Great video today keep it up your doing amazing job 👊🏻👊🏻🎉🎉👊🏻
U always keep me entertained bro💯💯
He looks great in that diadem
You should describe the path of resurection stone. How it end up from a ring gem into a snitch.
Man you're teasing me more stuff about Lord voldemort thx you so much
What a great idea for a video. I think that your theory is spot on.
Dude went from loving her to straight up merking her cause she didn't love her mom
Rowling might have some weird moments but her characters definitely ain't no simps lmao.
Awesome video, keep up the good work!!! 👍🏿
Another great video harry potter folklore keep up the good work and great commentary as always Dean
What if Lord Voldemort and Emperor Palpatine met in person?
Daryl Franklin, Jr. it would mean the collapse of the universe. Xd
@Daryl Franklin, Jr.
“Did you ever hear the tragedy of Salazar Slytherin the Wise?”
“No.”
“I thought not, it’s not a story the Aurors would tell you. It’s a Death Eater legend. Salazar Slytherin was a great wizard of the Middle Ages so powerful and so wise that he could use a Basilisk to influence the Muggleborns to create...death. He had such a knowledge of Parseltongue, he could even keep the people he hated from living.”
“He could actually...prevent his enemies from staying alive?”
“The Basilisk’s stare is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.”
“W-what happened to him?”
“He became so prejudiced against Mudbloods that the only thing he was afraid of was...losing his school’s purity which, eventually of course he did. Unfortunately he told Gryffindor everything he thought, then the others drove him out of the castle. It’s ironic, they could save Mudbloods from Slytherin’s ideals...but not his basilisk.”
“Is it possible to learn this power?”
“Not from an auror.”
bffs for life. Since on would kill the other or try their best life may only be few mintues for one of them. both powerful and new to one another both are smart and patient though. the probably size one another up who knows. be a hell of a fight when it came. Lord Vold wouldhave the upper hand though being he had hulcruxs. So.......... hmm but tkae them out of play up for grabs
Unlimited power
I have a hunch theyd b instant archenemies as both want 2 rule the world/galaxy forever as immortal beings & would view the other as the 1 obstacle n their way but theyre both brilliant & extremely patient so they would interact often each trying 2 discover the others weaknesses b4 making a move but i think ultimately palpatine would win as hes proven 2 b the better manipulator & would b able 2 find out not only about the horcruxes but also exactly wat & where they r along w/ how 2 get past the defenses set n place 2 protect them then would seek out & destroy them 1 by 1 THEN face voldemort & dispatch him effortlessly w/ the power of the dark side b4 voldemort could even open his mouth 2 say avada kedavra
It's always interesting to read someone's speculation about what a fictional character did/would do.....
You just had to do that😂😂😂🤣🤣😂.Tom looks so fetching with it on😂😂😂🤣😂😁😁😁
I personally believe Merope had depression ... i think she convinced herself her child would be better off without her
MsRainbow Brite Idk. I believe she just wasn’t well. She did rape a guy.
For the next 2 videos here r some ideas
"What do magical students do before attending Hogwarts (not counting muggle borns cause they go to muggle schools)?"
Potterverse gave us a What If Draco Malfoy was in Hufflepuff and Harry Potter Folklore gave Gryffindor, only "What if Draco Malfoy was sorted in Ravenclaw?" is missing
Exactly, people are so historically illiterate.
If ALL that failed I’d say
“Look tell me where it is and I’ll personally push the four eyed kid who makes every year a stress filled war zone for everyone else down the shifting stair case”
I would be like "Yo blad give me the diadem".
I said that I would relate to her and make friends and then after years and years together I was slowly but surely bring up the diadem
He probably started by going through the Bloody Baron...talking to the Slytherin ghost would have been easier for him.
Others didnt stand a ghost of a chance but tom knew the riddle.........
My question is why didn't Helena tell any staff members of Hogwarts that Tom defiled the diadem with dark magic. Seems like a no brainer to me.
What if he promised to not only destroy it but to also bring it before her to destroy it in front of her? Only to ghost her (pun not intended)
I would just wait for my 7th year at Hogwarts then tell her that I'm not going to tell anybody. Then, wait after graduation to steal it
Wow, what a great theory thanks!
I mean, I don’t blame her. If I were her, I would’ve been charmed by Tom Riddle a long time ago and would just tell him.
Do a video to explain what would happened if "Harry potter and the hunt for the resurrection stone"( you mentioned it in one of your old videos )
So voldemort physically can't feel loving emotion, but even so, there are functioning sociopaths in our society that don't resort to murder. Voldemort's back story in a good book following this path would be great
1st to comment 😁love your videos Bro, keep up the excellent work
He didnt take his emotions out on her when she didnt give him the information about the diadem right away.
It depends on what u mean by power. If by dueling skill no there are much more powerful wizards like flitwick or kingsley still alive
@@zhihanlim3500 There's more to both Dumbledore and Voldemort than dueling
I think that it was more than that that allowed Harry to beat Voldemort at Hogwarts
He anticipated Voldemort's actions and other aspects for the last 7 years in fighting him for the Sorcerer's/ Philosopher's stone, and defeating Quirell as an 11 year old, Tom Riddle's shadow self and the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets when he was 12, driving back more than 100 dementors at once in Prisoner, defending himself against Voldemort at the Little Hangleton graveyard, resisting and defeating Barty Crouch's Imperious Curse, Fighting Voldemort's mind control in Order of the Phoenix, fighting back against Umbridge's oppression and teaching others to fight against her orders which prepared them 2 years later to fight Voldemort's army,
and the rest that he did including hunting down and destroying horcruxes while avoiding his forces for an entire year.
"Only I, Lord Voldemort am worthy of possessing objects of the 4 founders of Hogwarts including my noble ancestor Salazar Slytherin."
the diadem on toms head sent me 💀💀
I’ve always wondered why Helena cared so much that her mothers diadem was made into a horcrux if she hated Rowena so much
Honestly, Tom with the Diadem on his head, doesn't look too bad in my opinion. He should've kept it as a headpiece for the Yule ball or something.
Sorry if you can in the future not do the up in down shown during 4:30 idk if it’s the pic or just too fast but very disorienting thanks 😊 love the videos still
I'd be willing to say he referred to his mother and her mother similarly like you said. He likely already had the Gaunt ring and referenced how that was his family's symbol and made it out like he hated it. Idk why he would make the diary horcrux before the ring because you can see him wearing the ring in earlier Hogwarts footage with slughorn. Shrugs.
It was so funny when the diadem was on Tom's head😂😂
I would try to talk to her and say how unfortunate I have been. Try to bring out similarities with her and win her heart. Show that I understand her steps and what she did was not wrong. Maybe then she woud confide in me the hidden place of the lost Diadem.....
What if Voldemort was postivive in COVID-19
Nice video great info 👍
3:40 How to convince Helena Ravenclaw to tell us the location of the Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw? Well I would say "For the greater good"
