My sons, 2024, 600 competition broke his ski yesterday while we were riding in old Forge New York. Took it to Smith Marine where they were quick to fix him up with a new ski under warranty. Those guys at Smith Marine are a class act, shout out to them for helping us out. It was his left ski, and Smith Marine says they have seen four or five of those this year, all being the left hand ski They are in contact with the top brass, at BRP and hopefully they put out a recall or do something to fix the issue. He had to ride on that broken ski for close to 70 miles. I was a nervous wreck, thinking he could crash at any moment. It’s a big issue that needs to be fixed. Fortunately, the ski they put on his sled was last year‘s model, which gives us hope that it won’t happen again, I ride a 2024, 900 R renegade x and I hope it doesn’t happen to mine.
Check your left ski on your 2024. If it says AC2 it has a manufacturer error and needs to be replaced under warranty. If its AC1 or AC3 you are ok. Cheers, Jesse
Nice video. The fella from New Liskeard was I think his last name is Dejardin they did Snowcross put a lot of time with his son and daughter racing the circuit for many years. His son races pro now I think. Miss the days that our son raced.
Hey David! The xterrain was a really fun sled but I only put 100 kms on it so can't give you a conclusive opinion. You definitely can't go wrong with either though!
lol.. We just refer to it as Mont Valin as that is what a lot of riders know it as. We based out of Valinouet and rode the trails through the Mont Valin mountains. Cheers, Jesse
No they didn't.. First ski mishap happened first 150 kms on the sled in valin. Had a second ski so used it the rest of the trip. Got a new ski from the dealer and that broke first 400 kms on it in Cochrane last week. Cheers, Jesse
Hey Wayne. We have spoken about it in a few videos but it just isn't reliable. It disconnects from time to time and fails us. The garmin is bullet proof and the one thing I never want to fail when I am in the middle of no where is my GPS! Cheers, Jesse
Nope. They both ran out of gas at basically the same kms on our last trip lol. 225 kms the first time and 165 the second time. First time was hard pack low snow. Second time was fresh snow. Cheers, Jesse
I had the defective ski on my 2024 900turboR it never broke on me thank goodness

Great video, guys. Interesting opinion with the XTerrain
Thanks man! Ya I don't know what it is but im kinda having a love affair with that xterrain lol
Connexion makes a charger adapter that goes on the back of your oxygen to charge your commor other 5 volt accessories.
Yup! We just got one. Can't wait to try it! Cheers, Jesse
Beautiful area
It really is!

Great video! How did yiu guys like the Xterrain vs the 24 BC XRS? Debating between these 2 sleds of a mxz 850.

That's my next sled xterrain
Its a wicked sled!
I just purchased a 2025 X-RS!
Congrats!
I'm still waiting to see you ride IN Mont Valin! 😂

I have seen over 75 sleds when I was there.
Yup!
I would like to get my passport some day and come ride the trails in Canada with my backcountry X 850.
You should! Once you ride Canada you will always ride Canada lol. Cheers, Jesse
@@sledaddicz 😁
Both ski mishaps happened in Mt Valin, did you 2 guys not tip your waitress/waiter? lol
No they didn't.. First ski mishap happened first 150 kms on the sled in valin. Had a second ski so used it the rest of the trip. Got a new ski from the dealer and that broke first 400 kms on it in Cochrane last week. Cheers, Jesse
I got rid of my 2023 renegade 850 with Smart shox and got the 2024 lynx rave 850 and love it way more than the renegade
Once you go lynx you never go back
Hey Jamie! Ya the lynx is a great sled forsure.
Are you guys using the GoPro Enduro Battery? I get about 1hr use in -20C or so vs only 15-20 mins with the regular battery.
Yup we only use the enduro's. They still fail all the time lol but when they work they are pretty good! Cheers, Jesse
Let’s go!
:)
Doesn’t look like you guys use BRP Go. How come? Not as good as Garmin?
Hey Wayne. We have spoken about it in a few videos but it just isn't reliable. It disconnects from time to time and fails us. The garmin is bullet proof and the one thing I never want to fail when I am in the middle of no where is my GPS! Cheers, Jesse
Have you seen a big difference in the gas mileage between the 2 stroke and 4 Stroke?
Nope. They both ran out of gas at basically the same kms on our last trip lol. 225 kms the first time and 165 the second time. First time was hard pack low snow. Second time was fresh snow. Cheers, Jesse
