My first tube amp was a TSL 602. It was very frustrating and difficult for a beginner to set with my Boss GT1000. Your vids encouraged me to stick with it until i figured out how to unlock its voice. I recently bought a 100W. It came with a 2x12 avatar cab loaded with UK made G12 80W speakers. For $900 USD i feel like it was a steal of a deal. Thanks for showing me what these amps can do.

I've always loved the TSL100 and thought they were very underrated. From my own experiences of gigging and recording I've found them so easy to work with. When I have used other peoples JCM800s I have felt them harder to work with, almost like I'm fighting the amp when I play. Maybe people didn't know how to use them properly, or people on the forums (Where I have seen most reviews for TSL100s) had a hatred for Marshalls at the time? I don't know! Or maybe it is a secret conspiracy to devalue them so you can have a great, cheap amp that everyone thinks is worthless.
I'm glad someone is giving them the appreciation they deserve, although I do worry you may end up increasing the value of them now you have shown how good they can be. Great demo!

Hi Euge, you are the fucking machine man, if I ever made a video comparing two hi gain amps as good and emblematic as these, it would be exactly the same as this one you have made, with the same ingredients, way and style of playing, equalization and volumes, organization and bookmarks, way of explaining yourself and giving your personal opinions (very to take into account because it shows for leagues that you live and know what you say). For me, this is simply the perfect video man and number 1 over the many others (thousands) that I may have seen on youtube. And also you look very connected with the soul of Jonh Sykes ...... I also admire that guy. So an 11 for you. Greetings Machine!.Thanks and congratulations.

I never understood the hate on the TSL either. I’ll probably get insulted for this, but when it first came out, many critics were saying it was the best Marshall ever made. I never bought into that, but it was highly praised upon its initial release. I still love mine: needs an OD in front to do what I want, but when it’s cranked it’s a beast.

Excellent video as always! The TSL is a very underrated amp. Lots of players seem to like the DSL Crunch much better than the TSL but to my ears they're equally good, and with all the TSL additionally gives you it's a much better amp for me. I think you got it around the wrong way man, you can get the 5150 tamed down to sound like a TSL, but you'll never get a TSL to sound like a 5150, I got both these amps and the 5150 can be taken to the edge of insanity straight out of the box while the TSL is the way back to those classic sounds we know and love, like the man says, if you get the chance to play the old block letter 5150, go for it man, you'll love it.

Euge! Now that you're introducing Peavey 5150 maybe you could check around a good plugin that sounds similar to the real thing. I got the softube marshalls after checking your reviews and i am fascinating with them.
I know that you prefer the real amps but in my case that I don't go around and I play in my small studio at home, plugin is the most convenient.

Nope. I like it a lot the way it is stock👌.
Well my amp tech fixed a few things back in the day which I guess are quite common to TSLs like a grounding problem with the speaker outs but it wasn’t anything that could be considered mods.

Hey Euge on my tsl 100 my clean channel is not working properly anymore. The volume on the clean channel is extremely low even with the gain and master up full volume. However crunch and lead work perfectly. Do you know what the issue could be? Thanks!

Yeah I picked up a boss OD1 after watching one your reviews I'm to my dual super lead I like it I also use 808 tube screamer and I use Isp. decimator and the same course pedal just purchased a Marshall JCM 2000 Tsl 60 watt I also have a PV 6505 we basically use the same rigs but I always come back to my Marshalls. But I love both heads Marshall just has that crunchy fizz it stands out more. I use Gibson les Paul guitars. When you do your reviews on your Marshall amps if you could get a better close-up shot because of the controls are hard to see because of a light that would be great I really like your tone settings I pretty much run mine at the same lot of people they don't know how to use Marshalls it's all about the dials 👌. I really appreciate your videos I know it's a lot of work.
