  • Foods to boost collagen in the skin:
    1. Vitamin C: Your body NEEDS Vitamin C to make collagen
    2. Egg whites: contain glycine and proline, the main amino acids that make up our collagen (yolks have other skin benefits too! For example, our skin can use that cholesterol to make vitamin D)
    3. Nuts: contain zinc which supports fibroblasts, the cells that make collagen!
    Nourishing our skin from the inside out is one of my favorite topics and I love sharing tips like these with you guys! Did any of these healthy skin facts surprise you?

    Dr.Whitney Bowe: Some goofball online is saying that nuts are NOT good for your heart.He says that eating nuts destroys the elasticity in your arteries.Some other goofball online says that eating nuts are too high in fat (even though they contain monosaturated fats) for your heart.Who do I listen to? I'll go ask Dr.Anthony Youn also.

    When you say white, did you mean the egg inside or white shell eggs?
    I’ve been eating the brown organic or free rage ones lately.

    not plants at all!, You forgot bones, tendons, and ligaments of animals and fish super good for that not a plant!

      U do realize that all the protein that are in animal meats came from plants right, and the lower down the food chain you go the less nutrients and energy so go straight to the source my guy.

      Plants are the lowest. Predators are higher up and this eating the predators give less nutrients bc the predators themselves have already taken some

    Bad advice. You won't get your daily zinc intake from nuts. They don't contain enough and contain antinutrients as well which means that you're only gonna absorb a fraction of the amount that's in them.

      If you're carb intolerant like as in diabetes , high blood pressure or metabolic insufficient the nuts and chocolate both will cause a spike in glucose and thus insulin will be used as a growth factor but any answers Mal sourced protein will help with any type of food cravings.

      As long as the dark chocolate isn't high in sugar. As the collagen won't be effective with high amounts of sugar.

      nuts and citrus fruits do the job. but too many of them are also not healthy. so I'd advise looking for some collagen supplements.

      @@Blurp3 no😂 egg whites are inflammatory and have no benefit. Also egg yolks have more protein than egg whites. Egg yolks are full of vitamin A and healthy fat. Dr Berg taught me lol :)

      @@2r380 I know all the benefits of the yolk, that is why my first reply was for 'whole egg.' But, where are you getting your info from??? Research says the egg white is anti-inflammatory. Also, the egg white does hold most (not all) of the protein. That's why it's important to eat the whole egg to reap all the benefits. I know that eggs can be different for each individual and can be bad, or good for people. For me personally, I love the whole egg, I've never had issues with eggs and I especially need them, as I have to be on a very restrictive diet for inflammatory reasons, yeast-free, etc...
