Gordon's drones are David Naill. I don't know what reeds he is currently playing. I believe his current chanter is, surprisingly, a poly McCallum. Sadly no amount of imitating his instrument choice can imitate Gordon's fingers or his ability to set up his pipes. :)
Yes, he is indeed a Pipe Major, a distinguished graduate of the Pipe Major's course at the Castle, and one of the finest pipers who has ever been recorded.
