I am a Stipe fan but I really like Ngannou. I want Stipe to win on March but If Ngannou wins I am not gonna be mad , he is an amazing person with an incredible lifestory behind of him.
At the age of 22, Ngannou began training in boxing, despite the initial reluctance of his family. After training for a year, Ngannou stopped training due to an illness. He did various odd jobs to make ends meet, until at the age of 26, he decided to head to Paris, France, to pursue professional boxing.

Even with all the 1st round KO's that Ngannou has piled up since Stipe destroyed him, it is a false narrative that he has improved since then. Ngannou is the EXACT SAME FIGHTER he was 3 years ago. He is a one-trick pony. He needs to KO his opponent early. That is his ONLY path to victory and he knows it. That's why he threw caution to the wind and charged at Rozenstruik with his chin up throwing wild punches. He knows if the fight goes long, he is doomed. Based on the Stipe fight, Ngannou has roughly 3 minutes in his gas tank. That's it. He was a zombie by the end of the 1st round. Do people think Ngannou has turned into a wizard on the ground? Yeah, right. If Stipe gets him down, he ain't getting up. Stipe took some big shots from Ngannou in that 1st round. Not only couldn't he KO Stipe, HE COULDN'T KNOCK HIM DOWN. You can't compare Stipe the GOAT to the other guys Ngannou has KO'd. There is a reason Stipe has 6 belts on his shelf and those other guys don't.
conor gassed in 2 minutes and then fought 5 rounds after a few months. i would guess the guy could learn how to pace himself in a few years. obviously, stipe is the favorite but saying that a fighter didnt improve at all after so much time is just an ignorant thing to say coming from a pretty dumb individual. the question is if he improved enough to beat stipe or if stipe is worse now that he got older
@@b3rg059 Calm down there, keyboard commando. Calling people "dumb" with the safety and anonymity of the internet to protect you is not exactly the bravest thing in the world. Something tells me you don't go around in real life calling people dumb to their face. He's actually a very likeable guy, I just think the overhyping done by the UFC made a lot of people unfairly dislike him. I was one of those people myself, unfortunately. You gotta respect someone who can go through two tough losses, re-evaluate, and then come back better.

Francis's fighting ability is Amazing. His humble & humorous personality is even more Amazing.
I think this guy just became my favorite fighter for his story, and humility. I love seeing people like this win in life and in the octagon.
FINALLY A PODCAST WITH NGANNOU
Francis “I like to kick shit” Ngannou
What did shit ever do to him? Shit is a natural part of human life, kicking it is unnecessary and will ruin your shoes. 0/10 👎
Lol
The way Francis says 0:34 "the redemption" sounds like some shit from alien vs predator
Straight out he said it so smooth
Francis is a true gentleman... a real human.
"At the end of the day, it's just fight. I dont know if they doing some kung fu shit or something" LMFAOOO
Stipe is one of the best just for surviving Ngannou alone.
Yeah, that comment about him saying Stipe took him deeper in one night than all his opponents combined really makes u realize it.
Yeah, Stipe dominated Francis in all facets of fighting.
I am a Stipe fan but I really like Ngannou. I want Stipe to win on March but If Ngannou wins I am not gonna be mad , he is an amazing person with an incredible lifestory behind of him.
Gentle, soft hearted, kind and humble but an ABSOLUTE MONSTER in the octagon. 🤯
At the age of 22, Ngannou began training in boxing, despite the initial reluctance of his family. After training for a year, Ngannou stopped training due to an illness. He did various odd jobs to make ends meet, until at the age of 26, he decided to head to Paris, France, to pursue professional boxing.
Lmao i love to hear Francis actually feelin himself a little, cool dude.
I love how honest this guy is: MMA is easy!
I was fighting to survive and I end up doing MMA. It is very hard to listen these words from him. Such a great example of Perseverance.
this guy has a bright future in sport
People forget at 11-1 Stipe was coming off a KO loss to Struve and fighting an over the hill Gonzaga and was on his way to losing to JDS...this man faced prime Stipe at 11-1...respect
Francis has been absorbing Stipes english the entire time.
Not the entire time, it's just the two shots he landed on him 3 years ago...
If he KOs Stipe now, he'll have to go back to speaking French.
"I like to kick shit" give this man a podcast
I love Francis! He is a monster fighter and is the embodiment of the American dream. Future champ, let’s go!
Stipe vs. Ngannou: the fight for the ultimate immigrant.

Crazy how it took Francis 4 years to finally get another shot at the title, fkn A if he loses that’ll be tough
He will lose. Virtually no chance he beats Stipe
the horrible loss to Derrick Lewis didnt help.
It would be devastating for his career, no doubt, but as DC showed us, Stipe can get caught and put away.
I think this match will come down to Stipe actually. Does he retain that same fire and hunger he displayed fighting DC? If so, I don't think Francis stands a chance. If he let's himself get comfortable again though, adopts a, "I already beat this guy," mindset? I think Francis puts him away.
@@keymaker2112 He's only human, and he's very unlikely to have the same fire as he did in their first fight. Back then he was going for the record of consecutive HW title defenses. What is he fighting for now?
It's been 3 years. The first fight was in January 2018
If his fists don't put you to sleep, the soothing baritone of his voice will!
LMAO
Holy shit guys, half way through the podcast on Spotify. What a life this guy has been through, I’m a fan of Stipe and hope he retires as the GOAT but god bless that man Francis.. he deserves the world
Spotify sucks though
very down to earth and humble dude. Rooting for him.
It's hilarious how sweet & polite Francis is. Love the guy, no clue who I'm rooting for :P
I know he’s very understanding and respectful yet an absolute beast in the cage.
This is the top 5 podcasts and I've been listening since 100. What a crazy life, I teared up a couple times.
This guy flys in the face of many people who think they’ve had it hard and can’t make it.
@S U R V I V E I agree. But comeon, not everyone has to start from such a low bar of being an illegal immigrant in a foreign country. Most western people already have a leg up compared to Francis' humble beginnings- even if you want to start with just basic education.
Kung fu shit 🤣 Francis like - listen I'm here to knock you into orbit
Not what I expected him to sound like, that’s the most peaceful voice I’ve ever heard coming from someone who could absolutely rip me in half
I would love to hear Francis read the lion king. Such a relaxing voice for a total monster to have lol
Sounds like MUFASSA
@Mot Koaiu bro go away
That was a bit gay Josh. Just sayin'
@@tonyiacomi4822 you must have closet tendencies if you don’t think this man sounds just like mufassa and your heart is dead if you wouldn’t listen to him read lion king lol you salty af sir
@@joshgotter4922 Well I don't think I have closet tendencies since you are the one that said it. And um, lion king? And you are....an adult?
His voice is so calming dude
Not related to this action of the podcast but man how can you not be a Francis fan after hearing his 14 month journey from Cameroon to France. Not many ppl on earth could do what he did. He will have my respect forever.
Rogans Brain:
"I wonder if he can knock out a Chimpanzee"...
About the "accent thing in Fance" his right about it! In a proposition of 80%! Glad to hear that from you Francis !
There is a reason Stipe has 6 belts on his shelf and those other guys don't.
yeah man.
conor gassed in 2 minutes and then fought 5 rounds after a few months. i would guess the guy could learn how to pace himself in a few years. obviously, stipe is the favorite but saying that a fighter didnt improve at all after so much time is just an ignorant thing to say coming from a pretty dumb individual.
the question is if he improved enough to beat stipe or if stipe is worse now that he got older
@@b3rg059 wait what the he changed his comment
@@b3rg059 Calm down there, keyboard commando. Calling people "dumb" with the safety and anonymity of the internet to protect you is not exactly the bravest thing in the world. Something tells me you don't go around in real life calling people dumb to their face. Conor weighs 100 pounds less than Ngannou and doesn't have that mountain of muscle to carry around in a 5 round fight, so your comparison doesn't make any sense.
@@user-ke1pr6xx4e Obviously, i am not approaching people to call them dumb out of nowhere, but if i am having a conversation with someone about something and he says something as dumb as that guy said, I will call that person dumb and guess what, nothing will happen because tough killers like you are only on the internet.
But you are not the brightest lad either considering you dont see the correlation between conor being exhausted when carrying more muscle than he is used to in one of his first fights that lasted more than a round and ngannou being exhausted in his first fight that lasted more than 2 rounds
also, I can reveal my identity if you ask me nicely. what do you think will happen? will you hunt me down?🤣🤣🤣 children like you are great fun
What a fight!!! Stipe took some heavy shots and kept moving forward. Best fight I've seen in many years.
Forgot this podcast existed after the Spotify switch.
...Rogan did it for the money, not the fans...
Spotify premiums worth it. Rogan only adds to the value.
The ads in middle that come out of no where really pisses me off.
same. Ain't going to spotify - not a single fuck
He's actually a very likeable guy, I just think the overhyping done by the UFC made a lot of people unfairly dislike him. I was one of those people myself, unfortunately. You gotta respect someone who can go through two tough losses, re-evaluate, and then come back better.
Its not the ufc‘s falut its just you guys are judging way to quickly... needa stop with that tbh
the ''overhyping'' you talk about is the reason we all know who FRANCIS NGANNOU is , plus the fact that he knocks people out fast af
@@jkthegreat5687 It was irritating to watch the UFC, the oddsmakers, and a majority of the fans fall over themselves for a fighter who had only been training for a handful of years and had never showed much proficiency in the multitude of aspects of MMA beyond massive KO power. I'll agree that you should look past all the noise and not let it cloud your judgement of an individual but it's easier said than done when it seems like everyone's kinda lost their minds on a particular subject.
@EightFrancs It's entertainment. Use critical thinking for important matters. Use your animal brain when you want to be entertained. It's about efficiency.
@EightFrancs @EightFrancs Don't insult someone (even in the third person) if you don't want a response. Apparently you're old enough to be the father of a 27 year old but you still haven't progressed beyond repeating the lines of a teenager who is high for the first time.
Best podcast ever! This man’s story is of true willpower and determination. I will no longer take for granted my blessings.

@@brunom6316 ur boy gonna look lost again
I never saw him talk before. he's so f humble
Francis gets so much exposure to the point where it almost seems like Stipe lost to him and Ngannou is the champ xD
It’s probably cause they believe Ngannou will KO stipe
The fight game has always loved terrifying knockout punchers and Ngannou is up there, despite his humble demeanor. Dana would love for him to be champion because the marketing practically writes itself. On the other hand, Stipe is the better fight, but he’s not as easy to market. He talks like he’s chewing on glass so that doesn’t help either.
Stipe doesn’t do much interviews, and is very very inactive. Francis is like Tyson people are willing to pay knowing the fight is only 2 mins.
Well it's his story that sells him. He's also a genuine guy so people naturally gravitate towards that. Even Stipe said good things straight after their fight about Francis - I think almost everyone is rooting for him.
stipe is a great fighter and thats it. dana prob thinks he has no personality and doesnt talk much. basically dana wants ngannou champion asap 🤣
Love how down to earth he is. Goes to show we take so much for granted here in the states. Much respect for that he had to go through.
I respect the hell out of this man but I also really respect stipe and think stipe is still weirdly underrated and overlooked even though he's arguably the goat at heavyweight. I think Francis will be a World champion one day but I don't think nor want him to beat stipe as I want stipe vs Jon Jones
I've always found it bizarre how stipe isn't a world superstar. He's the epitome of the American dream and a fireman. He's a Hollywood movie ffs
