- during a 90-80 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever suffered their first loss during the Olympic break. Now in their season series, the Fever and Lynx have each won one game.
Even with another strong effort, several supporters believe the former Iowa star was mistreated by the officials all through the game. During the game, three divisive calls were found that had spectators armed.
Go overseas and make those leagues rise up to surpass the wnba, and let the wnba sink back to it's stagnant status.

Several of the refs act like rebate highschool officials from Tijuana Mexico. Cennedy does blatantly fouls with arm hacks and blind sides and CC slaps a backboard pad and gets a technical. In what universe does that make sense.
They need to purge the wnba refs - they are constantly ignoring fouls and violence against her and giving her fouls over nothing. Go somewhere else for refs. The whole season the refs have gone after her. I saw one of them high-five a sky player after the ref gave Caitlin a foul.

Players (including CC) assaulted and battered by Chennedy Carter need to sue her, as well as the the refs and the league for allowing this to happen and continue to go on. To get these people's attention you need to sue. Carter should be expelled from the league if not sitting in a jail cell for assault and battery.
This is basketball, not trumpland. You don't sue to get your way. She flops. She should have been ejected. If anyone else swings at someone's face, it is an automatic ejection! The opposing team job is to make it hard for her to shoot. Throw her off her game. They run several plays designed to free her up . But she misses open shoots! Her teammates have picked up the scoring opportunity when she has played flat. The refs are just calling it fairly. The honeymoon is over

I never watched WNBA till now. I watch many games and every game has poor at best officiating against both teams no matter who is playing. These officials think people are coming to the game or watching on TV for them. They believe they are the stars. 40% of coaches challenges are overturned so that is proof refs mess up often.
You have to leave room for the shooter to land. Even if there isn’t contact It’s A Foul. Refs Continue to be horrible.
That was no travel in anyway shape or form. McBride was holding her and initiated the contact. The refereeing in the W is so bad that it can only be rightfully cinsidered corrupt at this point.

I would like the men’s nba check those fouls and compare it to the other fouls from other games with CC . I just watched the Ross show and she ran through the game and said ,possibly do to the time off , the fever didn’t come prepared and bad defense so I’m not totally laying blame on referee . The lynx was ready and hungry for the fever, that shows respect for the fever team . Again I would like to see a critique of the referee, men’s version.

And I might add to the comment below that far too many holding penalties are NOT called as they should be called. They are simply let go and accepted. That also is tragic.
It is clearly apparent to any sports fan that the refs don't know where to draw the line in offensive charging! Many of the bigger women simply put their shoulder down and drive through the opponents. If a foul is called, it is called on the defensive player rather than on the "bull in a china shop." I mean really! Either retrain or fire all the refs and start over. This is destroying the women's game.

One factor we have to accept that Caitlin is an exceptional player.If players cannot stop her pocketing baskets referees can stop it with or with out the whistle. You have to pay attention to Angel, she doesn't want to score, she prepares to get her own rebound. When she has more than 10 then she starts to score or vice versa.
First season to 'EVER' watch the WNBA. Surprised to see that the officiating in the WNBA is inconsistent and half the time one could wonder if they are actually watching the game with so many missed calls.

The comment the refs are gambling on the games, I have been pointing out there is gambling going on and Clark is not a part of. Players, couches. Noe refs slowing down Clarks game. Is this outrageous behavior ever going to stop.
If the WNBA expect to be taken seriously for the professional league they claim to be, they need to start acting like it as they are now doing more harm to themselves than the good being inspired to bring the game to a whole new level by the exception skills and influence of individual players. Unless coaching and officiating show that they are not interested in continuing to allow good athletes to experience success by acting more like a jealous cow than the skilled player they think they are, the league will default to protecting the health of their star player. The comparable hockey player who brought fresh attention to the way he set new NHL records was 160 lbs. in a sport where average was 205 lb.and lack lustre performance was excused as being a 'contact sport'. Consequently, a protector was on the ice at the same time whose job it was to demonstrate to opponents that it was not acceptable to unnecessarily touch their star player by inflicting pain for doing so. People got seriously hurt and IMO it distracted from the sport and the development of skills to move the sport upward and support went down. At its worst, it was not as bad as what is going on in the WNBA. Better clean it up WNBA as all your discriminations are showing.
My wife and I are huge CC and Fever fans. But, not everything is a conspiracy folks. Fever fans weren't bitching about the refs when we beat them in the first meeting. The Lynx pretty much outplayed us the entire game. No excuses. On to the Sparks on Wednesday and playing hard to secure either the 7th spot, with the Sky losing at the buzzer against the Aces or the 8th seed.

That was traveling. The other calls (or no calls) were bogus. That play at 6:07 would have been a technical in the NBA, falling into a player’s knees like that. If that continues, she’s going to be injured soon, possibly ending her career. Then we can all go back to not caring about the WNBA.

The referees are terrible they have three referees officiating and still they can't make the right call they frequently huddle and review the play and still can't make the right call and this is so frustrating to watch. The WNBA need to step in and review and assess the referees performance maybe they need more training.

Stop whining. The refs weren't picking on Clark. She got one bad call when the opponent flopped, but she traveled and poked the other woman in the eye on the other calls.
The referees have been against all rookies this season CC a little bit more than the rest, but all rookies are getting unjust calls. The refs lean towards the venture in the league. The refs like the veterans want to keep the league the same way instead of progressively getting more eyes on it!!
