My name is Etienne Crete (from Montreal, Canada). I'm a swing Forex trader and help aspiring Forex traders develop a trading method that works for them so they can produce income allowing them to live with more freedom.
I blog at www.desiretotrade.com and host the Desire To Trade Podcast. I was fed up with the “fake” millionaire traders and the “get-rich-quick-trading guys”. That's why you can expect more free content from me than what other people charge for!
If you truly want to succeed in Forex trading, I believe you need to keep working on yourself so you can improve your strengths, but also your weaknesses. Do not focus solely on what you're good at.

That is my favorite thing about markets, that they reward the guy who's right, no matter what everyone else thinks. It's the purest form of meritocracy I know of.
Discipline and money menagment make you great trader end of story.

Much appreciated, Adam! Thanks for the comment :)
Thanks Étienne for your hard work to provide to the public so great analysis about your trading journey and sharing interviews with your hosts dealing with human behavior struggle through trades.
I can totally relate to Jason saying he never liked being in a group or could identify with groups
One of my favorite trading interviews, especially the forehead view! Thanks Etienne and Jason!
Glad you liked it!
Glad you enjoyed the interview, forehead and all. Working on becoming better with technology.
Much respect to both of you. Humbling. This content is very necessary for traders. Especially committed traders .
The way I now look forward to Sundays, drinking coffee and listening to a Trader Interview 😊 Always so much encouragement every week!
Exactly
That’s awesome! Really glad I can help!
24:21 Happy to hear him admit that, still crazy to realize this is who I'm competing with while trying to enjoy life at the same time!
This is really helpful and personal. Thank you
I told y'all this channel is the best...
Much appreciated :)
Amazing interview! Thank you Jason for doing the interview. So much great information and honest answers from a true market vet.
I relate to this guy. I’m not a good employee, lol… I’ve “sucked it up” for years, and just did what I needed to do to make money at the time. I hate to say it, but had Covid not happened, I’m not so sure I would’ve ever finally used my time to delve into learning about the market and trading. Still working on becoming profitable and it is mainly psychological at this point (I’m working on tamping down my pessimism and just trading what the chart is doing. Rather than what I think a “rational” market should do). Biggest improvement has been stemming losses, by learning how to sit on one’s hands, even if it means letting a winner go by, because you just didn’t feel “in sync” with the price action.
Have to trust the system and minimize ego and emotions in order to succeed. Humans are wired to survive which goes against being able to succeed in trading. Lots of hard work and discipline.
@@crowdedmarketreport yep, for sure. Also, like you mentioned, stay away from the group thought. Lots of people out there thinking they can predict what the market is doing and why. And it’s easy to get sucked into it. Last Friday, after I watched another good trade go by, it finally clicked as to just how toxic, that can be. And I suppose it is driven by our egos, trying to find certainty. No certainty in the markets. Only probabilities. I just sat there asking myself, “Why do I care what the market SHOULD be doing?… It clearly doesn’t matter what I think!… Just control risk and take my setups.” Anyway, thank you for a great interview. 🙏
I can relate to you. I decided to trade so that I won't have to depend on the employer for my paycheck. Learning the market has definitely been a challenge. I hope you give CMR a try.
Appreciate this interview
Thank you Etienne for this interview Loved hearing all the wisdom and the journey of Jason. Keep doing what you are doing. Always a pleasure to hear from all the wonderful traders you have interviewed Really appreciate all the interviews.
It means a lot! Thanks for the comment :)
Thanks Etienne for bringing another great trader.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the interview.
Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is resting in peace ...In India...he has been a constant inspiration for all traders and investors.....please dedicate a video for him ...much appreciated...
Everybody dies
He makes if he is world renowned person.
Oh god is he died ?
Nice to See you
I went through this almost exact same process. There are no short cuts... Esp when it comes to being disciplined about your strategy.
You cannot make money in the markets without discipline or risk management. At least long term. Thanks for commenting.
Again, a brilliant video! Good to watch videos which give affirmation that this can be done because "this guy" ultimately did it! Absolute gem advices! Jason taking the level of trading from end goal of not just making money but really to be able to understand yourself and the money becoming the after - effect. Loaded with experience and maturity!
All Thanks to Etienne!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks, Shivam!
Another GREAT interview 👏 Thanks Etienne!!!
Love these story Etienne love it
Excellent!!
Listening to Jason was very inspiring to me because I recognize many of my own traits in his narrations. I too am a contrarian having trouble respecting hierarchies in the workspace or following the common belief for the sake of communal spirit - which is partly what draws me towards trading the markets. Success there solely depends on one's skill and discipline.
Thank you Etienne for the great interview. We can always count on you asking all the relevant questions for us 💛
I’m very glad you can relate and that this was useful!
Thank you for the kind words.
Really enjoyed this. Great interview :) Would love to hear more market wizards. Keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
Awesome content 👌
Glad you liked it!
This guys awesome. Blunt and real.
Thanks. Blunt and real does not allow for many friends...
thanks Etienne for the interview. Is it good interview
Thank you.
Jason is awesome 🙋♂️
Good job
Brilliant interview and even better advice, listen until the end
Thank you for the feedback and glad you liked the interview.
@@crowdedmarketreport Jason, I've 40 years in the Biz, and it was the most straight forward no BS talk about trading I've heard. Thank you, very refreshing no bullshit involved. Method and Discipline.
@@crowdedmarketreport Great reference to Vic as well, I'm sure he'd get a smile from it.
trading listening learning researching experiencing. discipline and accountability, accountability is the most important because that’s how you learn as a trader dont whiff past YOUR mistakes. to do trading you really wanna do have to want to do it.
He'salso a very good explainer
Thanks for another one🥇🤝
It never stops 💪💪💪
Awesome person.......would really like to meet him one day.
This one hit me personally 😅 🙏🏽 You do an amazing job 👑
I'm very glad to hear that! Thank you!!
This guy jade it, spot on.
Nice one on guitar playing. I do the same thing with piano.
Now this is a great video
I’m glad you liked it!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed.
Awesome, nice to meet the guy on the other side of my trades lol. Just kidding, I like contrarian a lot, I have had some good success with this style
Great interview! I would like to ask him why not use automatic alarms and just monitor that? Let the market call you in stead of you sitting there 24/7
Watching this while sitting in Pattaya, Thailand with my toes in the ocean. lol 😂
I think Jason is one of the good guys- a trader's trader
From Philippines
I think you are very cool, you might want to consider about the popularity contest
Does anybody know where i can get examples of his trades...?
Authentic.
Aloha & Mahalo!
What are your thoughts on AI trading systems used by the banks? Will they outsmart retail traders to the point where candle signals will no longer work for us?
are these brokers you provide us in the description regulated?
Yes these are all regulated and the ones I personally use. Depending on where you reside you may be limited in those you can use due to the restrictions in your country.
Can you interview him again and maybe he at least how he do his trade , specially the betting against,
Amrit Sall next 🙏
Greatings aus Germany - fulda

Which 'Market Wizards' book was he in?
The latest one. I was featured in Chapter 2: The Contrarian. The book is called Unknown Market Wizards
Oh ok. I read the first two. I’m sure that I can speak for everyone who is serious about trading, including newbies like me, it’s huge gift to be able to get insight from an experienced trader like yourself. Thanks for doing the interview!
Great interview. But what's with the camera angle on Jason, lol? Nose, eyes and forehead... ?
PocketOption is generally convenient. And the main thing is withdrawing the money
He could be using the COT data.
Glued to the screen all day... 😩
I personally would never do it… but each person should go with that works for them.
❤❤❤❤🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑👏👏👏👏👏
this guy better be making millions per year to be spending that much time everyday watching the markets lol
Does one really get rich trading?
@@frankgeary7574 It's a business. With a big scale, you can.
I can tell you it is above minimum wage
slow down -hard to understand you lol
Etienne u speak too fast please relax a bit
Lol. With this philosophy, I would just watch Jim Cramer on Mad Money and do the exact opposite of everything he says.
@Richard Mark I'm a stock trader.
One of the hardest things to do in the world dude you lived a very sheltered life not even the top 100
You have a top 100 list of hardest things to do in the world??
It’s true. Love it or leave it. No get rich quick Holy Grail. Work on yourself and your plan every day. Whatever it takes, as long as it takes. Don’t quit your day job just yet. 🤑🤑🤑
Our motto is the slow road to the rich house. Anyone telling you they can make you money quick and it's sustainable is lying.
Guy has wisdom but tough life. Grinder. Who wants to trade 30 markets and sleep twice in a day and watch asia till 2 am. I much rather be the guy trading a couple markets, nasdaq and ES, us cash open morning session, make my money and go enjoy life. I might not make millions per year but I work for myself, have a ton of free time, and make more than what most make in a job
Why can't both types of traders be happy with their own approach?
@@crowdedmarketreport if your happy then by all means. But in the interview you mentioned words like hell on earth and I’m just wondering why not develop a strategy/work an edge that gives you less stress and more free time. My mentor is a a trader who trades 40 - 50 lots on ES and just tries to make a couple points a day. Done in the first hour most days. Unless your down a path where your size is 200 plus and your looking for big moves and you want to sleep on big money positions then I get it. I don’t know I’ve just done some self reflection over the last year and I realized that this biz is incredibly stressful and the less I trade the happier I am, and also seems like the better my results are. Sorry for the negativity. If your happy then disregard my comment.
Tooo many hrs a day…. A lot of good things to take from this interview…. But not the crazy hrs and sleep management…. No way man….
Man that sounds horrible. I don't envy his style of trading and bad sleep patterns LOL I trade for Freedom not to sit in front of the TV and computer all day
It is definitely not for everyone.
@@crowdedmarketreport
Best wishes 🙏🏻
Sad he is selling courses though
No one is selling a course. Since the book came out, a lot of people reached out asking for into. Put together a weekly report and other items based on demand. Not sad at all. Just trying to help.
