December 13 40,000 bc. These things are terrifying, it’s hard to fight them when they approach in numbers, especially when it’s a blizzard. I don’t know how long I can keep my flame on for much longer with all this wind. May my friend hot potato be safe. - Pepperpult.
Me and Dave went back into time, we landed in the icy pits of the frostbite caves what seemed to be 40,000 years ago. This place gives me the chills. On our travels in this place we discovered a few new plants, one that can lob flaming peppers, one that can melt ice chunks off the lawn, oh right I forgot to mention the insane temperature of the winds here is so cold it freezes the plants on the lawn. These new plants didn't stop here, one that reminds me of the beloved star fruit I used to own, shooting in different directions and this one being another defensive plant that knocks those things back. The last one is a blover, maybe an ancestor and instead of clearing fog it chills down the horde and moves them back with it's insane winds. This period of time is interesting to say the least. Now to explain them. The walkers move at a consistent pace, but it seems like ice plants don't freeze them in place, they're accustomed to the wintery dwelling so it seems it has no affect on them. The small ones ride on what seem to be the extinct dodo birds. What a peculiar bird, riding on them over the defense and the ice blocks, those ice blocks randomly appear on the lawn and when stepped on moves a zombie up or down. This is my logbook entry 4.

What were they called? Plant? Yes, plant! But our plants are much more delicious. Brainy and juicy! Were those strange people called Blaze and Dave? They are always around us. They're trying to catch us, but we're too fast! We can even fly thanks to the dodo birds flying above us! Even though the weather is very cold, our feathers keep us warm. One day, we saw that those people found a strange plant. It was shining brightly and seemed to attract us. We approached them, but they noticed us. They started running. We ran after them, but we couldn't catch them. I wonder what that plant was? Maybe it could be a treat for us. The icy pits are a very fun place. We are always discovering new things. One day, maybe we'll catch those people and persuade them to live in the icy pits with us. Say what?"
What was some silly instrument sounds like demonic chants, it’s really creepy knowing that in the frostbite caves you could walk on any amount of ice and fall into a pit of freshly unfreezed zombies! I just wonder what it would be like against a zombie smilodon!

Then another. And a growl. And now, your surrounded by decaying and frozen human corpses reanimated back to life.*
When I was younger, the choose your seeds theme and final wave theme intro from Frostbite Caves always freaked me out. The music producers did a great job at capturing the feeling of a bone chill in auditory form. This video is like an extension of the same feeling I had when I was younger.

As Crazy Dave sat in his time machine listening to the ethereal hum of the warpdrive around him, he wondered why he was doing all this for a taco, let alone one he already ate. Suddenly, the machine jolted to a halt. He got up to inspect the dashboard for errors. Fuel was only halfway depleted, and nothing was out of the ordinary. "Penny! Analysis of abnormality!" "My engine has overheated due to repeated usage, User Dave." "Check our surroundings." "We have landed in Canadian territory, 2.4 million years ago. There appears to be a blizzard." "Well, I suppose your engine problem's solved." Grabbing a parka, Dave stepped into the freezing cold. The pine trees obscured his view, but judging by the lack of light, it would seem to be nighttime. He trekked his way to a nearby cave, and started a fire. As he grabbed a nearby rock to sit on, Dave heard the worst possible noise. A hunting party of zombies had spotted the bright glow of the flame, and began to shamble to it. Dave grabbed a stick from the fire and wielded it like a weapon. "Stay back! I won't be afraid to set you ablaze!" But the zombies moved merely faster. He realized it wasn't brains, but rather warmth the horde wanted, so he dropped the torch, and beelined it for the time machine, making sure to slam the door behind him.

I feel like in frostbite caves ost, the original one gives some decent cold vibes and atmospehere, trying to keep your plants warm and surviving the zombies but in this, it shows the terrifying reality, zombies being immune to freezing whilst trying to make sure your plants' efforts arent in vain by keeping them warm and strong cold winds capable of freezing plants even if there are warm plants nearby.
Plague inc. has already showed us why melting prehistoric ice is a *very* bad idea, we don’t need music to further reinforce this. Amazing remix, though!
The icey winds of the snow filled wastelands, brings me a sence of dread everytime, the horizon stays the same white background in every direction possible. The only sence of situation that keeps me from falling into a cold dark sleep, is the softnes of the blue skies and the pale warmth of the yellow sun. Today was hard, the mountain goddess seemed not to keen on protecting the few that lived here. She sent the hoard once more to the base of her inviting embrace, There was alot of them outside. The ice on their flesh didn't seem to harm them. And there was a few who had crimson on their icey gray faces. I pray that the poor guy that they had devoured, didn't turn into one of those mindless creatures. Shmani wanted everyone to leave and run. "Run where?.." I thought, there be nothing out side of here for days. We would practically be a walking meal for any who tried to hunt us. Shamani did lead a group of 12 people out of the goddess embrace, perhaps she may bless them with the promise of finding one of her sisters. The remaining people here wanted to build some fortifications before the horrors came at the goddesses legs. But I knew that was impossible, there wasn't enough time.. 1:43, Midnight in the Ice Age, as a lonely pepperpult starts being placed as the night plant to protect the player and during 3:25 some zombies appeared, the only light that pepperpult had was his own body so he had to guess where each zombies were and those zombies started to multiply as the zombie sliders started to put every zombie in his line, no matter what pepperpult knew he had to fight them off and kill them before they get to his owner's house as he started to pult and pult to no avail, they started to creep and some even crawling whenever their legs were burnt which disturbed pepperpult as he was just trying to fend for himself and the hordes started to get larger as he started to pult again looking around to see one of the hunter zombies walking to him throwing each snowball at him, desperate to freeze the plant so they could finally have some food after 4 years.

The last thing I remember is using a time machine after Zomboss died on the roof of Dave's home. I went too far back.. If this were a 3d horror game, I'd make the dying walnut like plants drop a small heart-shaped sun when the player goes to see them if they do i imagine it wouldnt yeild alot of sun but i imagine in a isolated horror setting that would be an emotional moment

Day 203 We soon found a good cave to settle, big and spacious too, we fit Penny in there and used it to keep the place warm and cozy as Dave got to work making plants to endure the cold. Once more, Zomboss attacked us in his own little wagon of doom and gloom, and once more we destroyed it before he left and we followed. I will admit, it was kinda fun to see those imps riding mechanical bulls, probably the only thing I’ll give that bastard credit on, it was especially funny to watch them fall, though, maybe not so funny when the bull would sometimes end up stomping on their heads, the sound nor sight of it will ever leave me, especially the smell…
Day 202
I’d thought maybe we’d traveled into an era ravaged by a blizzard, and the chronometer merely said 1034 BC, but that’s when Dave explained to me that we’re too far into the past for the time to be properly displayed, as he explained it, the meter can only display time up to the tens of thousands, but we’re way in the past, neck deep in the ice age, Dave checked the chronometer more thoroughly, we’re currently in the year 101,034 BC, to say I felt despair is an understatement, the bitter cold made the van the only safe place as we drove, luckily, as much as he’s utterly insane, he ain’t no fool, he outfitted my van with heaters galore, around Penny was a beacon of warmth.
Day 203
We soon found a good cave to settle, big and spacious too, we fit Penny in there and used it to keep the place warm and cozy as Dave got to work making plants to endure the cold.

While watching outside, I noticed something in the snow, a partway-buried block of ice, curious, I cleared the snow from it, only to be met with the face of a zombie, it wasn’t no human either, from the robust brow ridge, it was a Neanderthal, it seemed to smile in mockery, as if it understood my plight and desire to be left alone, to be freed of the zombies.

While keeping watch, I was suddenly struck by a snowball, I turned to then see a zombie, donning the hide of a tiger over its body as it threw more snowballs, clutching a bone in its other hand, without any plants, I panicked and ran, and this was… okay? The zombie seemed to smile before then retreating into the white shroud, it was with horror that I realized it was scouting me, and I’d just led it to the cave we were camped in…
