This jam is masterful&super melodic Robert! You sir are the riff king. Wah pedals can add so much color and tone when not doing the typical wah-wah-wah sound. GREAT job bro!!
Thank you Lance :)
The wah sounds great, but that jam was fantastic!
This is actually the wah I’ve always wanted too. That song was really cool. The switch on the wah even sounds good when you move it.
I ended up buying one today after hearing position 2.Position 3 is badass also
out of all the youtubres doing gear demos this guy has by far the best sounding demos ever its like you are there sitting next to him with a mask of course!
Off-the-charts jam to go with the demo. Awesome man!
Schenker used the wha for the sweet spot and tone changes for a long time in his career. My favorite player ever. That intro piece was really cool bro!
WOW! Awesome jam! I just bought this pedal, based on the video you just posted, with the white Epiphone/Jerry Cantrell guitar.
Ya i have the Jerry Cantrell wah...and it has a very easy going switch a HUGE plus if your'e sitting down!
Gives waluigi a wah for his money
your Friedman demos are the best Friedman demos. Dave should hook you up long term.
That descending lick at the 1:04 mark....just made my day.
9:09 please show me how to play that, Robert. That's so rad
That is frickin an awesome riff! I absolutely love the Friedman 72 GOLD., such a must have if you enjoy that versatility you get out of this pedal! Keep it Rockin Robert B.
Everything Friedman puts his hands on turns to gold
Including Megadeth
Now you got the perfect slash rig
Vintage Les Paul, Marshal, and killer Wah.
Great sounding wah. It fits exactly what I need in a wah pedal.
Wahtastic! I have a mystery setup for wah which involves 2 ancient pedals... Glad to see I'm not the only fan of the sound... Kudos on not being cliched or boring with it!!
Best Wah sounds I've ever heard, Thanks Robert
I like my Vox Clyde McCoy Wah V848 but this pretty cool 👍
man, your full of smoking riffs. you made that wah sound amazing. just discovered your channel, and totally into your playing.
See the issue is I can't tell if this is just his ability to play or the pedal cuz the other demos I've heard haven't been great but this jam was *chefs kiss* immaculate
That jam was actually fucking awesome
This may be one of the best songs I’ve seen you do. Great job, great video, great sound.
That opening Jam was fire Robert.
Excellent wan demo, I like it. Simple and straightforward to the point. 🤘🏽😎👋🏽🙂🇻🇪👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That opening riff was killer Robert ! Love your playing sir !
Mikey G
Yeah, it's from his song "It's Time" check it out it's awesome!
The camera angles are great how it takes the guitar and the playing...the pedal sound badass, really wide range reminds me the dimebag's...great review rob!
Friedman makes awesome stuff
Just out of my price range
Sounding good Home Slice should add wah pedal to your next E. P
thanks homie. And this song was actually on the EP :)
Quality Mr Baker !!! I have one these too !!! 🙂 great wah pedal Dave ! Another great feature is the LED so you can see when it's on gigging ! Pos 2 sounds more vintage to me & pos 1 has biggest sweep.
Your legit impressed, and I really legit enjoyed watching! Great intro song and demo! I love the idea of the switch.
Well, it took me a while, but finally got one on the way!
Ok that was by far the best intro song ever. sounds almost like you know what ur doing. lol.
Now That, is a WAH!
There is just something about Friedman gear that is awesome.
Right now I’ve got the Wylde Wah by Dunlop and I love it but THAT is something I need to get my hands on! Great video!
Awesome as Always. I'll have to check this out. Great Review.
Kwacker - Wacker, Chicka - Chacker - Wacka.
Wah face turned up to eleven
Killer riffs, would definitely love to hear you with a band
Sounds killer with humbuckers.. forget single coils. You want the power. sounds so full. i need one now.
@ 07:25 - The word you were looking for was Resistance. 👍
The hardest thing about playing with a wah pedal is trying to stop your mouth from making a wah-wah motion when you play the bloody thing. When your lips go 'wah-wah' too you end up looking like a demented cat. 😆
Great song!
Oh HELL YES! That sounds incredible😎🎸 Bonus points: you managed not to make “the face”. Kudos dude...😉
Are you feel interested in testing microphone? That is a kind of microphones which is suitable to live performance.
Okay that intro song was fucking sick..
Hi Robert, could you do a video on preparing to join a (rock) band as a guitarist? What things should we be able to play, with regards to both the bare minimum requirements as well as optional things that are beneficial?
I had this same love at first play thing happen to me recently with a Faux Boomer wah. I've basically hated every other wah I've ever played or owned (They just killed my ears with too many highs and loss of bass) 'till I ran across Joe Gagan's Faux Boomer wah. Saw the demo on youtube and just happened to have an old wah to put the guts in, so I bought the kit. Meanest freakin' wah ever. These two wahs (Gold 72 and the one I mention) sound remarkably close (switch position 2). BTW
Joe has the best sounding wah's on the planet but hopelessly unreliable with technical and electrical faults.
He should get someone else to manufacture them.
Finally, saw these at NAMM, taken 10 months to finally come out 🙏
SHUT THE FUNK UP! 😁 Robert that jam, as many others have said, was fantastic! I have an Ibanez weeping demon which I like but your new toy makes some sick sounds! Enjoy it!
That opening piece sounds like Ross Childress era Collective Soul, nice.
That sounds great! Off to the Reverbz.
@6:24 Alice in Chains Man in the Box - Thank you Robert for adding that guitar lick.
Robert Baker is getting down again!!!
Opening riffage was Very " Jane's Addiction"
@8:58 Robert's "Tiny bit of grit" face.
Damn it! Now I need one.
Dang Robby, great playing my dude!
Killer... loved the intro track
Pls do a quick lesson on the run at 7:56!
Hi there! Amazing demo!!!! Which pickups are you using in your LP, that BTW is also one of the most beautiful and best sounding I have ever seen!
You make that Wah rock Bro!
Gloray!
Great sound Rob! I’m a big fan of the vox v847 but they all broke on the road so I’ve been trying a bunch of MXR wahs I may have to go Friedman...
I know that I'm nobody but check out Morley wahs too. They seem really sturdy
Sweet wah and jam
Killer riff at 00:31
2:46 lucky for context Lol
Wacka ticka wacka tika wack- Robert Baker 2018
That intro riff reminded me of old Smashing Pumpkins.
love your channel
1:10 is a great jam 😂
I just bought one today. This thing smokes my slash sw95 wah
How have you found the build quality of this, I love the sound but have seen a lot of reviews saying the pedal is built poorly/didn’t last for very long?
I’m torn between this and the CAE Wah. Not sure which one to go with! Any advice?
The quack is like slash sig dunlop wah
Inside is present a little switch to can pass between true bypass or buffered. Using the buffer mod this pedal can be used with a fuzz?
Reminds me of a lot of collective soul tones.
Does the pedal come in true bypass or buffered bypass? How do you know how to switch it? Which do you prefer?
your best video ever.
Got that email and RUclips notifications 🤘🏼
4:39 Man not with mine, genuinely need about 6 people standing on it to make the thing switch on or off. No chance of turning it on comfortably sitting down
The power socket on mine is super loose too to the point where if I nudge the cable it switches the pedal off and intermittently switches on and off randomly. I reckon I've got a dud, so I'll be returning it for a fresh one. it does sound fantastic though.
That song reminds me of the intro to Entourage 😂😂😂
Myself, I'm partial to my Morley ~ Steve Vai Bad Horsie II first edition.
I love the Tremonti wah too. Morley for the win
I love my power wah had it 25 years. Burn out the opamp with wrong polarity put in a socket and swapped out the chip with a burr brown
Funny enough, first artist that comes to my mind when I think Friedman is Jerry Cantrell. Seems to be the same for you pal.
that jam tho
On sale on amazon now for 144
50... why do i feel like ill be buying this in 7 min when the vids over
This video was entertaining.
Chuck Taylor official shoe of guitar
That intro sounds like Smashing Pumpkins
WOAH!
Was Jimi Hendrix the first to popularize the wah pedal? When I hear it I always think of him!
He def is one of the people rockers thinknof
Does this pedal "chatter" against the switch when you 'rock' it? A bunch of reviews say it sounds great, but the treadle actually hits the toggle(?) switch in use? True? How can that be..... Is that true in all three toggle positions, or just the center?
I just picked one up today and while he says it's a dip switch it's obvious it's a three-way mini toggle and no that mini toggle does not touch the top of the treadle. I wonder if they were talking about the switch at the top you know the main on off? Anyway as far as this one goes I was totally sold on the Fulltone Clyde, as I dug both the red and yellow settings. I wondered why that boost on the Clyde is only available in Wah mode? It's a fierce boost I mean it's capable of a hell of a boost but only while you're wahing. I'm looking to retire my 68 I guess chrome top, and I sold my logo on top 66, so I was looking for something to take their place. I checked this one out and I thought it was a one-trick pony, but a great pony. I thought the Friedman sounded closest to my old originals but I was still going to go with the full tone Clyde for the options until I googled a RUclips with Pete thorn showing this off that's when I learned about the toggle switch underneath. The guys at the music store didn't show me that, I showed it to them. With the combination of the buffer the three different sounds; I don't think they're three different sweeps I think they're three different sounds, and the super lightweight which reminds me of my originals, they were also ultralight, I ended up going with this pedal.
@@LTJR. Excellent. Thank you, sir.
Sooo.... When are you doing Shred Wars with Jared Dines?
Or Riff Wars with Fluff.
now play some kirk hammet solos
Now, Time to sell it!
Nope actually going on my pedal board
Haha, Awesome!
I said it because every guitarist buys a wah then resells is xD
Just dug my wah out of hiding
Same here.
I am enlightened
Give us your Les Paul.
theres already like almost half a dozen eahs that sound just like this one, just a different logo. nothing new here
When you play a Les Paul I get moist
Hey man....I’m Latín and I see your channel frecuently. When you play for the people put their opinion, you never answered my chats. I don’t want to think that is for my origins. In fact I ‘m amirican citizen.
Why would it be because your origin he orobly
