Thank you for your easy to understand instruction. I just got synth v and you are my main source of knowledge on this product. The correct method makes it easy to pick up on and progress. Will continue to watch and follow your channel.Have a good afternoon

Welcome and thank you for your feedback. This was exactly the purpose, to make others not lose their time and get to composing rightaway, so it is very encouraging to hear that it helped you :-) Have a good afternoon too!

Great tips, thank you! A question from a newbie: how do you create the accentuation?

    • @-SoundMatrix-
      @-SoundMatrix-  11 месяцев назад +2

Thank you, so glad that I could help :-)
I don’t really create the accentuation. I look at the normal accentuation of the words as it is in normal speech.
Let’s take the word „accentuation“ as an example. We have 5 syllables, the voice is elevated especially on the 4th one, acc-en-tu-A-tion.
This syllable (the A) should have a higher note than the one before and after (-tu- and -tion-), so that the voice is elevated when singing it, just like in normal speech.
I hope this helps you, if not I can make you an example with Solaria singing :-)

@@-SoundMatrix- thanks, I think I got that now. A follow-up question: would it be enough for a more realistic singing if - instead of splitting up notes - you would draw pitch changes? For examples in the word "Broken" you have split the word into two. What if you draw pitch changes manually, would that do the job well?
I'm still learning the basics of SynthV with the paid Solaria and trying to make her voice sound more natural. In my first try even the single syllable words do seem to make my head scratch sometimes. With some words they sound great, in others not so.

    • @-SoundMatrix-
      @-SoundMatrix-  11 месяцев назад +3

Yes, that’s possible, you can draw your own pitch curve. It seems to me that most people do that.
In that case you must still split the syllables in separate bars, to indicate where you want them to begin or end, or Solaria will sing them very quickly and not in the right timing.
I have worked in the beginning with that method, but was never satisfied with what came out. It is VERY tricky to make it sound good and it also made my head scratch ;-)
Having bought Synth V Pro, I discovered the random seed function and I was enthusiastic about the perfect singing that came out, that perfection was what I had been looking for. So I stuck to that method. And warmly recommend it, but I can only talk from my own experience.

@@-SoundMatrix-Many thanks for your help again. The SynthV is a great tool, but it requires work to get familiar with it. Your tutorials have been one of the best I've found, a lot better than the Dreamtonics' ones.

I can't find Solaria Lite version. Could you please send the specific link where I can download her voice? If there's no lite version then it's fine.

Hello! You can download the basic, free version of Synthesizer V here: resource.dreamtonics.com/download/English/. The voice of Solaria Lite is included in that package. Have fun composing :-)

@@-SoundMatrix- Hi, I have downloaded Synth V basic only last week and Solaria Lite was not included. Looking today on the Dreamtronics website, I could not see it in any of the Voice databases. Doing some websearch, it looks like Solaria Lite can be downloaded from Eclipsed Sounds however Solaria Lite cannot be used for commercial projects.
      Am I missing something here?

Hi, thank you for this tip, apparently things have changed and that is good to know!
Yes, Solaria Lite is not included in the Synth V free version anymore. The voice can still be downloaded on the website of Eclipsed Sounds: www.eclipsedsounds.com/solaria-original-contest . I will change the links in my descriptions accordingly, thanks again.
And yes, the voice of Solaria Lite can not be used for commercial projects, that’s correct.

Synth V Studio Basics rendering is very slow. I'll upgrade to Pro one day when I can afford it. Now "All users of Synthesizer V Studio Pro also receive the free vocal Mai. Mai is a bright and energetic feminine pop vocalist originally recorded in Japanese, but able to sing clearly in English and Chinese using the cross lingual synthesis function. With Emotional and Soft vocal modes, Mai’s singing style can be adapted to a wide variety of productions. Like other Dreamtonics voices, there is no restriction on the monetization of songs created with Mai."

Hi! I didn't observe any difference while rendering as a wav, in both Synth V versions Pro and Basic, it was done in seconds with both. But then I always render short bits, one vocal line after the other, and not the whole vocals of the song, maybe this makes a difference.
I have the voice of Mai, she is not bad and her English is mostly good. It all depends on the style of music that you want to make. For light pop songs with a girl singing she is really Ok. For songs with deeper lyrics I would not recommend her.
I do recommend Synth V Pro however, especially because of the Auto pitch tuning possibilities, I was able to make much better vocals with it. It is not cheap, but worth its price.

@@-SoundMatrix- Hi, I meant when typing words into the Synth V Studio piano roll, it takes a long time for the playback/singing to start. It's painfully slow and a good incentive to upgrade to Pro version. From Dreamtonics site "Studio - Rendering threads - Up to 2 threads. Pro - Unlimited".
